We have a Weinor Bieasy 1m awning since 2022 that has been working extremely well until recently. It started stopping half-way and I found out on downloaded operating instruction manual that the batteries were weak and I changed the batteries. It now stopped working that I believe is due to lost programming. I tried to contact my original installer and the people involved with them, but they have sold their company and are not contactable. I have tried and are unable to reprogramme and did not find any customer services from whom I can get help.

We had an awning fitted in 2020, we had an electric one and linked it to Google Home. It was brilliant :)

Then came the problems...

The awning decided to break and blew the fuse in the house, it also did so when it was partially out. I looked online and through manuals as this was now a safety hazard, but no you cannot retract the awning manually its stuck there even in high winds until a professional can come and strap it temporarily in place. So should it come crashing down or blown away stay away from it! Not sure how this passed health and safety guidelines!

Then the problems continue, Weinor are incompetent at sending parts. 2 months have past and still the awning is broken with no dates on parts. I can order items across the globe in days but getting something from Weinor (Europe) to the UK seems to be like getting it transported to the Moon. I do not recommend them as they can't service their own customers. What a joke!

I have just had superb support from Weinor UK in resolving a problem with my Weinor awning. Really professional, helpful and friendly team. Problem solved quickly and without fuss. Thank you.

Really disappointed
So just over two years ago we bought a Weinor remote controlled Awning from Shade Zone. We went for the remote control one and frankly we should have stuck with a manual wind out one.
We’d previously had two wind out budget ( by budget I mean hundreds of pounds rather than the thousands we spent) awnings at our old house and had no issues apart from the fabric fading which I replaced a couple of times.
So just within the two year warranty ( t & c buried in the small print) the awning stopped intermittently during use and having sent a video to Shade Zone they said that they knew what the issue was and as I was just inside the warranty they would order the part from Weinor and this would be free of charge but there would be a fitting charge of £360.00. I queried this of course because what is a warranty for? I was told their fitters were self employed and didn't work for them so they had no control over their charging.
The fitter came yesterday and replaced a receiving unit in the awning. He was on site for less than 30 minutes.
I queried this again and this was subsequently reduced to £240.00 which I’ve just done a transfer for.
So my advice is buy a manually operated one probably the cheapest you can buy.
I’m thoroughly disappointed with the warranty and I shall be following up this review with one for Weinor.

Called the office this morning to ask if I could have a site visit for a awning which would be around 5 m wide.
I didnt find the youing lady I spoke to very helpful at all- I am in sales and if the attitude I experienced this morning is anything to go by- you must be losing sales as I ended up saying I dont think your company is the right one for me.I am usually very positive and dont leave negative reviews. But I felt I was having to sell myself to you as a customer.There are a lot of companies out there who would jump at the chance to quote for our business.

We recently had a Weinor Louvered Roof Pergola installed on our patio and are absolutely thrilled with it. The quality of the materials used is structually reassuring and the overall design is striking. There was a wide range of colours to choose from for both the metal work and the side blinds, and the option to change the colour of the interior lighting is a really nice feature. This really is a top quality product and the customer service I received from both Weinor and Radiant Blinds who installed the product was excellent.

I live in Scotland , it rains, I bought the awning to use it when it is warm and raining or when it is cold and raning, which is 90% of the time in Scotland. the other 10% is when it is warm and sunny, when my wife uses it. Now I am told by the company who installed it and ( on Weinor website) not to get it wet unless you can dry it the next day. this means i spent thousands of pounds on a item I can only use 15% of the year.

We live in Scotland why would i buy something that I can only use 15% of the time?

Weinor awnings are meant to be the best of the best, will last 20 years, and that is what I paid through the nose for. Had our awning 4 years, probably only been used 200 times and the motor has packed up. Weinor only over a measly 2 year guarantee. So £1200 to replace!. The reality is most things are crap nowadays, so don't waste your money on the supposed best!

Weinor make fantastic glassrooms as an attractive and affordable alternative to conservatories. We bought one from Lanai Outdoor Living and it is important that anyone doing so is aware of the pros and cons.
The product is excellent, the skill of Lanai's installers is very good.
BUT it took five months from the date we paid the 25% deposit until installation took place, so order now if you want one for next year.
The installers left one large glass panel replaced with plywood (wrong size glass delivered) and another large panel awaiting aluminium cladding (did not bring enough on site).
Four weeks ago the installers departed and we have had no contact at all since that day, so cannot say how long you might have to wait if anything at all is incomplete after your glass room is installed in summer 2018 .
We can recommend the product but deal cautiously with Lanai.

Update. It took several weeks more and some organised pressure from me to get the job finished - I have no idea how long it would have been if I just waited. But it was all done by June 2017, so only 8 months after we paid the deposit! The Weinor glassroom is excellent and we highly recommend it, completely waterproof, neat and tidy finishing and although it is toughened glass rather than double glazed, in winter with the draft seals deployed it remains draft-free and useable. A sophisticated light and heat system is available, but we didn't have the heater fitted and still use it on sunnier winter days. What a shame Lanai was so disorganised.
