The finished product was excellent, as was the personal attention I got from the staff.
Interaction with WestBow personnel. My lack of experience was offset by the broad experience of the various WestBow employees I encountered along the way. Example one: Karen Stansberry (Senior Publishing Consultant) who guided me through selecting and purchasing a Legacy Publishing Package. Example two: Michele Neary (Author Relations Manager) whose commitment to the successful completion of the project was evident, valuable, and enabling.
The Publishing Package was pricy; but I believe that the value of the professional services received thus exceed what I paid. Now waiting for the line editing to be completed.
Your reputation precedes you, therefore, that is the reason I chose you to publish my book.
However, when I submitted my corrections, I waited 10 working days before I reached out to Bob, my contact.
He said, “they should’ve gotten back to you by now, let me check.”
He contacted his manager and made sure that that department was on board. Sure enough, within 24 hours all is well.
If I can say anything about Westbow, I would credit Bob, because he was the bomb!!
My book is out there, and I appreciate all that you did to get it together and published!
THANK YOU!

I especially liked the account supervisor, Luther Blackwell. He was always available to help a first-time author through the maze of publishing. The editors and designers were also extremely helpful.

You made a seemingly impossible task possible. You were there when needed.
Thank You

The agent host spoke with kindness even when you were frustrated in the process. The language is simple to understand concerning the contract; if you don't know, they will find the answer. The quality of the book is extremely professional. The interior is very easy on the eyes, and I have received many compliments.

The communication is bad. Some employees are very good. But some are very bad. You do not know who will be next. You sent your request and NO REPLY. I think I am talking to an AI.

My experience with Westbow Publishing was relatively an easy way to get my material in book form. For the most part, everyone was professional and answered all my questions regarding the process. The final product actually came a bit earlier than I expected. Overall I am completely satisfied with the results. Thank you Westbow and all your hard work. Mark E. Snow, “For The Time Is Near.”

I am a more hands-on, personal face-to-face person, so therefore I did not like all of the communication being so much by email. I paid for extra editing and still found mistakes and things that weren’t corrected properly after sending the modification for us back multiple times. It was hard to reach any of my contact people via telephone always had to leave messages and wait for a call back which sometimes two days. Sometimes I would not get a return phone call, but a reply by email. I had a difficult time getting the cover copy that I wanted.

I was the holdup. I had deaths and hospital stays, so although it took almost 3 years to get my book published, WestBow was very patient with me.

The staff is supportive and available, as well as very helpful

There was always instant communications back and forth between Bob and me. Best of all, however, was that the group that did the cover did a masterful job, and the interior format was just as well done.

This is the first book I have ever published, and I was excited to work with WestBow Press because of its reputation and affiliation. The beginning of the process was enjoyable, and I appreciated the support I received in getting my book started.
However, as the project progressed, communication began to slow down. My book is currently in production, but I have sometimes felt left to navigate parts of the process on my own. Response times have occasionally been as long as three weeks, which has made the experience more challenging.
Publishing through WestBow Press was a significant financial investment. Given the cost, I expected more consistent guidance and communication throughout the entire process, particularly as a first-time author. I also found that many additional services or benefits required substantial added fees, which made the overall experience more costly than I initially anticipated.
I am grateful for the opportunity to publish my first book, but I believe more timely communication, clearer expectations about additional costs, and continued support during the production stage would greatly improve the experience for new authors.

1 week after release date of my book Amazon pulled the book because Westbow did not properly do the spine to amazon standards. 2.5 months later it's still not on Amazon. It's literally the reason why we paid them thousand's to properly handle this type of stuff and they still have not fixed the situation. Pass on them this publisher is not good.

I think it was hard in the beginning when with my author care manager did not receive my manuscript properly and never relayed that information to me. Weeks went by with no communication and I was understanding they were working on it. In reality no work was being done.
