This company operates like in the stone age. Products are not in stock, but they show in stock. The wait at the counter is usually 10-15 min per customer, so if you have two customers before you, expect to be there for half an hour minimum. Also, if you buy something from plumb centre, cannot return it to pipe centre because of policy, still Wollseley, but it could be called a completely different brand. The people who work there seem to be nice, most of them, that’s why I gave them 2 stars, but honestly steer clear of this business, it will make you lose time if you are a tradesman. The online competition is miles better unfortunately. They will dissapear if they don’t change their act.
Shrewsbury Store - Dave
Visited the Shrewsbury store yesterday and was so impressed by Dave who served me.
What I thought would be a simple buy off the shelf pop up basin waste was actually not the case as it was quite old and the clicker insert was not a size that they stocked.
Dave really went above and beyond in trying various options to help me.
It is very unusual today to find a company that actually cares about customer service, knowledgeable, friendly and doesn’t treat a female shopper like someone who’s gone into the wrong store! (Yes this does still happen).
I will definitely be using them as my go to from now on.
A huge thanks to Dave. Thanks to his efforts and advice I now have a fully functioning pop up waste and a happy tenant.

I have been using Plumb Center Chichester for a year or so, the staff there are very helpful, they always supply the correct parts and give me immediate quotes when I ask for them

Awful, awful company!
My item is now weeks overdue but they have no order tracking feature and their customer services are non-existent. Their chatbot just times out, their messaging service interprets "Update on my order" as "You're having issues with your log-in details", their email button doesn't work and their phone line is not open at the times it claims to be. There is literally no way of getting in touch with them to chase up late orders!
Awful company to deal with
An account holder is not allowed any paper invoices or statements either to be sent in post or email. The shop will also not give any receipts of items bought. Customer service very unhelpful to vulnerable customers definitely would recommend to buy your good elsewhere.

This is easily the worst thing I’ve ever used to control my heating. I have two boilers in my house, so I bought two of these thermostats, the make is “center” and both of them have the exact same hardware defect.
The AAA battery compartment is useless. The batteries don’t make a solid connection with the metal terminals, so the moment you touch the unit or pick it up to adjust the temperature, it loses power and switches off. Every single time it resets, you are forced to re-enter the day, month, year, and time. I have to do this 4 or 5 times in a row just to get it to stay on long enough to change a setting.

Ordered a boiler online... 2 days later get told its discontinued and my order has been cancelled and advised which boiler to order instead.
Paid £2800 for the first boiler - after a week, still no refund, even though by this point i had forked out a further £2800 for their recommended replacement. Constantly chasing for the refund and getting no reply.... email the CEO, suddenly get a reply to say there had been an error and the refund hadnt been processed, but would be with me in 2 days now. offered 10% off another purchase as compensation - not much good that is it - hardly likely to need ANOTHER boiler!!!
They didnt say 2 business days, but i have given them the benefit of doubt - its now been 2.5 business days - and guess what - still no refund.

I ordered an unvented cylinder online…
I ordered an unvented cylinder online over the Christmas period and was given a collection date of 6 January. Based on this, I began work at my customer’s property and removed the existing boiler and unvented cylinder.
When I contacted the Isleworth branch on the 5th to confirm what time the cylinder would arrive, they were unable to locate my order and said they would call me back. An hour later, I was informed that the order for the unvented cylinder had never actually been placed, and that I wouldn’t receive it until 22 January.
This put me in an impossible position. I had already started the job and could not leave my customer without hot water for over two weeks. I was forced to source the exact same cylinder from a local plumbers’ merchant, who thankfully delivered it on the 6th—but at a higher cost to me.
I raised a formal complaint about this issue but have received no response. Prior to this, I was frequently contacted and encouraged to use Wolseley more, but after this experience I will not be using them again. The risk to my business is simply too high.

Ordered a part,and paid..... 1 week for pick up at required location, only to get an email to say it will only be available the next week ( 2 weeks)...Then went to pick up said item only to be told that its not arrived and it will be another week as its not actually been ordered....not a happy customer

I have personally always found Wolseley helpful but on my latest visit in December 25 they excelled, at least Tom did. I was trying to repair a toilet which has a concealed cistern. All the replacement syphons I looked at would not fit the existing pipework despite the fact that it is only standard 42mm push fit. The new syphons were all a fraction of a milllimetre too small. Tom spent ages with me and dug out all manner of syphons and pipe fittings and eventually we found a suitable combination and my toilet is now working again. I cannot thank Tom, and Wolseley, enough for the help they gave me. They will always be my first stop for plumbing.

I just wanted to give postitive feedback for Ash and the team at your Yate store. They solved my spare part requirements, and were always helpful and polite. Was sent the wrong boiler and with missing parts. By the time the plumber had installed the boiler and had driven an hour to the depot to get the parts that should have been delivered, we realised the boiler was in a different colour and could not be returned.
After chasing for a month no compensation offered only a generous 10% future discount which I have no intention of taking up....
