We were altogether happy with what we received. The kit and documentation was of very good quality, and turned out to be a long-lasting toy for the kids.
The price is way too high though. I compare to similar kits, like KiwiCo, which would be way more affordable, wouldn't the shipping from the US be so expensive. I'd expect Woodstein being a Danish company being able to offer a similar price range with a better price on delivery.
I want to be fair to woodstein, it’s clearly a small company who are trying to do something exciting and educational in STEM for kids. The price is reasonable and the kits we’ve received have been good. My son has loved all of them (rocket, lava lamp, pinball and buzzer).
The problem is we’ve been subscribed for 5 months and have received the same kit (the buzzer) 3 times. The first time this happened the kit was replaced with one my son didn’t have fairly quickly. But now the problem has reoccurred then at the end of January we received the same buzzer kit again. This time around my emails to customer service have been ignored and the phone number on the website doesn’t go through. It’s more admin work than I’m prepared to put in for this kind of service.
We’ve paused our subscription and will likely cancel as whatever teething/tech problems (also seen in other reviews here) seem to be too much for the company to overcome.

The boxes are fun, interesting and smart - I did opt out after my trial, and that was very easy and fast. Definitely a cool and trustworthy company. If I had small kids in the house, I would surely keep my subscription.
Really nice, playful and fun. My son is 7 and is building the items with his cousins at the age of 11 and 14. They all love it and laughs a lot. It's easy to assemble and without creating a big mess.
The boxes arrives at the door, it's easy to contact Woodstein to get help, pause a box and other stuff.
It's so nice and fun, we just bought a single box, to give away as a birthday present for at friend.
