TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE – DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM WOONEXPRESS UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY
We ordered a corner sofa, and after just three months of normal use, it began sagging badly near the corners. A technician confirmed it was a manufacturing defect — the sofa was missing four legs in total, with only two legs on the three-seat part instead of four main legs plus a center support.
They offered a replacement, which we waited three months for — only to receive a sofa with the exact same defect. The same legs were missing, and worse, there's nowhere to even attach additional legs.
When we contacted customer service, we pointed out that their own assembly instructions confirm more legs are needed, but they flatly insisted two legs were "enough" — directly contradicting their own technician, who had already told us in person that sagging was inevitable with so few legs. We're now stuck with a sofa we know will sag again within months, and a company that refuses to acknowledge a problem its own staff confirmed.
To top it off, during the call the representatives switched to Dutch, despite the all of the previous conversations are in English and pretended not to understand us. It was condescending, disrespectful, and clearly a tactic to avoid dealing with the issue.
This company sells defective products, refuses to stand by its own technicians' findings, and treats customers with open disrespect. Avoid WOONEXPRESS at all costs — save yourself the money, the time, and the headache.

Dissapointed with my recent purchase.... I'm giving only 2 stars to the Amsterdam store employees, otherwise it would've been 0 star... Since we already knew woonexpress and got couple of furnitures from there , we wanted to go their store and purchased a dressoir. Everything was perfect in the store, employees were so nice, helpful and we came back home happy. They said the delivery will happen in 3 weeks and we were OK with that since it is acceptable. Yesterday we received the delivery and all of the problems started there.... We paid 20% in the store and remaining supposed to be paid after the delivery. The delivery guy asked us to pay the remaining amount BEFORE unloading the dressoir from his truck, which is fine cause anyway we were going to pay for it. It has been paid, they bring the furniture inside and it delivered as broken. The delivery guy said this damage cannot be happen during the delivery. The leg was broken, also the back of the dressoir came as smashed and broken. Product was already damaged when they loaded to the truck..... On top of that, it came as half-assembled, which is very suspicious (since we had tv unit from woonexpress and know how they are delivering usually), and wondering if this product was already refunded by another customer or delivered from a showroom. I'm really surprised with it, when I asked when we can get a replacement, they said it is unknown, no stock available and if we want we can get a full refund. Eventually we asked for a full refund, and we're pending for money to be returned to us. For future I'm very sorry but not planning to go back and purchase anything from woonexpress.... I've waited 1 month for nothing

UPDATE - 30th March 2026:
After 4 months and countless follow-ups, the assembly team finally arrived today. And yet again, Woonexpress managed to disappoint. Two more parts were found damaged, and one of the three replacement parts ordered was the wrong part entirely. The installation could not be completed. Their own assembly team has filed a report confirming this.
I have now formally requested a full return and refund. This has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish — broken parts, wrong parts, delays, an unhelpful store manager, and hours spent on hold. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from Woonexpress to think twice, thrice or ten times.
I want a full refund for the product and compensation for the inconvenience caused.
I have lost confidence in this company. If I don't get a response in 24 hours I will escalate this to the consumer forum.

We initially ordered six chairs, but unfortunately had to return two because there wasn’t enough space around our table. We brought the two chairs back to the warehouse ourselves, and the customer service we received—especially from Yarah—was absolutely outstanding. Truly 5-star support. Highly recommended!

We placed an order 2 weeks ago with an expected delivery date of December 5. We never received an update, no tracking, nothing. December 5 came and went with no shipping information or delivery. I emailed them asking for an update and received no update. Tried calling and nobody picks up. Tried using their chatbot was told to try again during their hours. Tried again during their specified hours and nobody is available and told to try again during their hours.
Their customer service is non-existent and we are no closer to getting our order or our money back.
Don’t waste your time or money. Shop literally anywhere else.

This is my second disappointing experience with Woonexpress. Although they do communicate, both of my orders were postponed, which has made the whole process very frustrating.
My first order arrived with a minor issue, which I accepted. But my latest order was a much bigger problem. The delivery was postponed again, and when the package finally arrived, the condition was unacceptable. The box was torn and damp, and the wood inside was wet and damaged. The item cannot be used at all.
After two orders and two postponements — with the second one arriving in such poor condition — I’m very disappointed with the quality control and delivery process. I have asked for a replacement, but this level of service is far below what I expected.

We placed a large order with Woonexpress Breda on March 1st, totaling €7,250, under the promise of quick delivery — which was a key reason we chose them over other stores. We were moving into a new house on March 21, and were told that part of the furniture (including dining table, chairs, TV meuble, a dressoir, and a temporary sofa) would be delivered by March 24.
The temporary sofa was not delivered as agreed. Worse, instead of proactively fixing the issue, I had to call multiple times, wait on hold, and chase them until they finally admitted they still owed us the sofa. Their first plan was to deliver it on April 11 — nearly three weeks late. Only after persistent follow-up calls did I manage to get them to deliver it on April 3.
A good reason we chose Woonexpress for sofa was because they promised to provide a temporary one — otherwise, we would’ve gone to other shops that had immediate availability. That promise was the hook, and it was broken.
Then began the long wait for our actual sofa. It was initially scheduled for delivery in week 21, then postponed to week 26, and again postponed to week 29. After the first delay, I asked to cancel part of the order (a set of salon tables), and again, it took 3 emails and about 10 phone calls to get it processed — mostly ignored or bounced between the Breda store and central customer service.
Now we are finally approaching week 29 and they’ve contacted us to schedule the delivery. But the only compensation they offered for this 8-week delay, broken promises, and the continuous stress and wasted time, is a €30 Woonexpress voucher. For a €7,250 purchase, this is not just inadequate — it's insulting.
I trusted Woonexpress to simplify the furnishing of our new home. What I received instead was stress, wasted time, empty promises, and poor service. The worst part is that we had to cancel our housewarming party twice, change our summer holiday plans, and get insulted like this in the end.
After this experience, I will never buy from Woonexpress again, and I do not recommend them to others. Unless a genuine apology and real compensation are offered, I am seriously considering cancelling the remaining order entirely.

I had a fantastic experience with Woonexpress. The quality of the furniture is excellent, and it arrived well-packed and in perfect condition. Their communication was prompt and supportive throughout the process. The prices are very reasonable, and the employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Easy scheduling of delivery. Delivery made in the time window communicated and the assembly of the couch took around 20mim and also they took with them all the plastic and carton! Very happy with the service and the couch looks great.

I purchased a 3door wardrobe and realised the doors did not have holes to put the screws when i had already mounted it,thinking that maybe its a new system,also 3 missing clippers,i emailed customers services and attached pictures but they did not respond.Quite unprofessional...When i wanted to buy they guided me through as it was my first purchase,then i made a complaint they ignored.

First i wanna say thanks to the guys who delivered because they made this to a 2 stars otherwise would be 1 since i had no idea how to set up they said by the number of the package ok no problem but i went to the website for the manuals also not helpful since they are not clear at all about the packages wich to open first and what comes in it.. but the reason why would be a 1 is due to the customer service is definitely not good at all at least towards people who are not dutch.. as soon as i said that i dont speak that much dutch the lady on the phone immediately screams “Neei” no english… but with a tone that’s ridiculous and then she says that a colleague will call me soon who speaks in english i said no problem but i was practically being kicked out from the phone.. great service really i imagine when u go vacancie wich language u speak because if u ever come to my country i would never speak in the same tome with u and not even say i can not even try speak..
But whatever after another colleague calls me okay thanks speaks english but also with a tone thats not friendly and again practically im being kicked out sounds like they are discussed of speaking english i imagine you in my place how would u feel since i came to ur country with good intentions and also learning dutch.. since i know a bit but that’s not excuse for u to treat people the way u treat me just for a manual.. maybe ur type are of higher fancy people i dont know… but definitely if ur an “expat” watch out because they dont talk to you properly..
But again a great thanks to the delivery guys who were helpful and also didnt speak english but they were nice and they tried and i dont mind if u dont speak english and only ur own language but if ur rude to people the way u 2 ladys were trust me ur customer service is not the best… u should get some proper education and know that we are in 2023 and u should be more open minded and less drama..
Even on WhatsApp still not a good chatting..
Never returning to you again i hope the product at least is worth.

Nice staff and sales person in both Almere Buiten and Amsterdam Zuid Oost stores. The wardrobe quality is very good and I got it at a very good prices. Delivery was smooth and nice. Delivery person was also very nice.
Sad thing is that couple of very specific screws, nuts etc. are missing and I will have to check them in Praxis/Gamma.
