Absolutely atrocious all round. No care whatsoever for their passengers, no kindness, no care to sit young children with their parents on a 15hr flight. Never ever again fly them

American Airlines is the WORST airline-…
American Airlines is the WORST airline- every flight I have been on has been delayed, They never have enough flight attendants to service a flight, pilot with too many hours to fly or some maintenance problems. Is it poor management??? I only fly them because I now live in DFW and it’s the only direct flights to my destinations. Get it together American or you will be out of business soon.
The worst Airlines on the planet…
The worst Airlines on the planet literally, avoid them at all cost, even their flight attendants are terrible! If you meet one of the attendants that has missed up eyes tell her to bring someone else to help you or serve you
Most unprofessional money hungry…
Most unprofessional money hungry airlines you can travel with.
The Worst Airline Ever
I am writing to further address the lack of response from customer relations. I believe the conduct raises concerns under 49 U.S.C. § 41712 regarding potentially deceptive or misleading representations made to me during the rebooking process. This has not been addressed, in violation of 14 CFR § 259.7(c). This case has been ongoing since August 7, placing it out of the deadline for regulatory compliance.
Specifically Under 14 CFR §259.7(c), AA is required to provide a substantive written response to a consumer complaint. DOT has clarified that a substantive response must address the specific problems about which the consumer complained. My complaint specifically alleged that the gate agent represented that the computer system would not permit the BOS booking, while subsequently acknowledging that she had intentionally refused to make the booking. A general statement that AA did not violate its contract does not substantively address that allegation. They similarly did not investigate and respond to concerns around employee conduct.
Additionally, if AA is representing that it investigated the specific employee-conduct allegation when it did not, or is representing that I received $413 in “goodwill compensation” when the $413 was actually the return of a charge AA determined was improper, those representations raise a separate concern under 49 U.S.C. §41712 and 14 CFR §399.79, which prohibit unfair or deceptive practices. DOT defines a deceptive practice as one likely to mislead a reasonable consumer regarding a material matter.
To provide a reminder regarding the time line of my rebooking.
The events occurred on August 7, 2026:
• AA 4409 IND-LGA was canceled due to ATC.
• AA 586 IND-CLT was delayed due to maintenance, causing me to miss my connection to BDL. Fortunately i was still in IND and able to find an alternate route.
• I was then placed on AA 3319 IND-PHL, which experienced multiple delays, including maintenance-related delays, and was ultimately canceled.
• I was ultimately rebooked on AA 4726 IND-BOS.
Before accepting BOS, I specifically asked AA to find me a confirmed way to LGA within 24 hours. AA was unable to do so. The only LGA option identified to me was standby. I therefore accepted BOS as the available confirmed alternative; I did not voluntarily elect to change my destination from LGA to BOS.
AA subsequently charged me $413 for that rebooking. AA personnel later determined that the charge was improper and attempted to refund it at the airport. The initial excuse provided was that LGA was too far from BOS, which the supervising agent then reversed. He allegedly tried to provide a refund at that time however because 61 minutes had passed, they were unable to do so, routing me through customer relations instead. He made extensive notes of this in the computer system, and then charge was ultimately refunded/
AA's current Conditions of Carriage state that when a flight is canceled or a delay causes a passenger to miss a connection, AA will rebook the passenger on the next American flight with available seats at no additional cost. I am therefore asking AA to identify the specific provision of the Conditions of Carriage that it believes authorized the $413 charge in these circumstances. While it was refunded, the reason why it was charged has not been adequately explained, and had i not been familiar with aviation laws, American would have happily kept my money.
Separately, there is a conduct issue that has not been addressed by simply determining whether the $413 charge violated the contract.
At the airport, the gate agent told me that the computer system would not allow her to book AA 4726 and that she did not know why. Her supervisor was subsequently able to make the booking. I was then informed that the agent had actually refused to make the booking because of her reaction to my request for ground transportation. Unfortunately, her refusal to do so directly lead to the $413 improper charge, which was only applied by her supervisor who should not have needed to be involved. She admitted she did not want to do the booking, simply because I had asked for ground transportation which is well within my rights, given no 24 hour option. This particular request has not been acknowledged in any communications.
Wifi is a scam on international flights

Nobody wants to talk with Humans…
Nobody wants to talk with Humans anymore,,.! AA is no different. They make it almost impossible to talk with a human but they make sure that you are not a robot by asking you to check stupid boxes. I'm afraid that AI is going to make everything much worse. Just robots chatting with robots.
2 hours waiting in the airport of…
2 hours waiting in the airport of panama because they couldn’t change a tire and in a hot room no water nothing offered! Terrible service with the connections also
These f nuts kept sending me different…
These f nuts kept sending me different gates and they caused me to miss my flight. Now I was just feet away from the gates they " thought " I needed to take, no announcements no nothing. Now these idiots have me on a standby "also gave me the wrong gate number and time to be there" I called and asked their horrible customer service and spoke to some off shore "supervisor " to get a car cause it would have been faster to get home. They're dumb asses said we do planes not cars. Completely useless. Avoid this airline at all costs.
AAAdvantage Points Less Than Impunity from Data Retention Laws
Me: "Hello, I apologise for calling your reservation 'phone number, as it is the only one you have, however, under Canadian data retention laws, I wish to delete my AAAAdvantage AAAcount (oh, who knows after pressing three fours, two nines, and speaking to a very nice lady in Georgia (the US one, not the EU one), who could NOT believe anyone would "leave those points on the table"), and a subsequent call six month later, and verifying my AAAAA ADvantage number (moins points moi, et heurs mois ma vie), I have, RECEIVED AN E-MAIL.
Asking for the same information.
--Will respond, should the big AAAAAdv &c deign to delete my information (unlike my travel time, phone time and you can keep tous le points),

American Airlines is first in 1 thing: incompetence
merican Airlines is the worst carrier on the planet. I’m done with this poorly run company. Flights NEVER leave on time. It’s laughable at this point. We take bets on how long the next flight will be delayed. I’m a platinum pro status level but the perks aren’t worth the aggravation. I’ll be switching to Delta.
Damage luggage and The staff going through a lock luggage.
My luggage was so damaged that it had cuts and scratches throughout it. I just brought that luggage on top of it before my trip home. Not only was it damaged but my luggage was gone through it and my belongings was damaged and broke and rip. And the Airlines are making up some excuses that they can’t refund or replace or repair anything. I have pictures and videos of my luggage and property where they was fine and when i got my luggage from baggage it was damaged from hell. Like how is that right and American Airlines dont care.. im mad about thus
Never flying american ever again
Never flying american ever again. Lost my
trust. Over 12 hours of delays, missed car rental, no compensation.
Beware of American Airlines: Documented Misinformation, Denied $850 Voucher, and Ignored Loyal Member
I have been a loyal AAdvantage member for years, but American Airlines’ customer service and corporate accountability are non-existent.
Before a flight from Philadelphia to Kansas City, an offer appeared for an $850 voucher to volunteer for a later flight. Before modifying my booking, I reached out to chat support to verify the correct procedure. The agent explicitly instructed me to select the same-day change in the app, stating in writing: "Once your flight change is confirmed, you will receive the voucher" and "usually once you choose the volunteer flight you will get an email of the voucher".
I followed their instructions to the letter. When I arrived at the gate, the airport agent flatly told me that was wrong and refused to issue the voucher. I was pushed onto an 8:06 PM flight, arriving in Kansas City hours late on the night before I had to be at work in the morning—all because I gave up my confirmed seat based on their staff's guidance.
When I submitted the chat screenshots, Customer Relations acknowledged in writing that I relied on guidance from their representatives with the expectation of an $850 voucher, yet they hid behind technical internal distinctions to deny it anyway.
They called me during work hours regarding the escalation. I returned the call multiple times and left multiple voicemails, but they have completely ghosted me.
If American Airlines refuses to stand behind written commitments made by its own representatives and ignores multi-year members who follow their instructions in good faith, they do not deserve your business. Take your loyalty elsewhere.
American Airlines is the absolute WORST
American Airlines is the absolute WORST! I was returning home from Lisbon, Portugal and AA closed the kiosk early and my friend and I could not check in. AA employee where not helpful. They told us too bad you need to find a flight or go talk to ticket booth. We ended up buying a costly flight ticket for the next day. I spoke with Costumer Relations several times and they gave me the run around stating I was not there an hour before(which I was) because they closed the kiosk early and I never checked in. After several back and forth emails with Costumer Relations employee, I asked to speak with a Supervisor. The Costumer Relations employee stated she spoke with her Leadership and they stated I needed to be there 75 minutes before to check in. They can't get there story straight! It was an hour...now it's 75 minutes! To make matters worse, my friend and I experienced the same situation, yet she received a refund and I was denied one. Explain how that is fair and acceptable! The inconsistency, lack of accountability, and complete disregard for costumer satisfaction are appalling!
When we flight with AA We miss SPIRIT
When we flight with AA We miss SPIRIT. AA is the WORST airline in America skies. The lady behind the counter was unrespectfull, spending her time talking with some else, not of the AA. Nobody gave us updates of the delays of the flights. The delay was over 4 hours. It's a shame to the Nation.
Stolen Chanel sunglasses From Checked Bag
AA won't take any responsibility for brand new $500 Chanel sunglasses stolen from my checked luggage. The one time I decide to pack an expensive item I immediately regretted. I can't even submit an insurance claim because my bag was neither damaged or delayed. This should be something they care enough to investigate that their customers belongings are being rifled through and ripped off.
Massively incompetent
Massively incompetent. I have to assume it’s being squeezed for every last penny by private equity or something. Multiple technical issues on both flights there and back, shuffling passengers from one gate to another as another and another, no rhyme or reason to any of it. The single worst travel experience I’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs.
American Airlines is really falling…
American Airlines is really falling down the list. Aside from constant delays, terminal and gate changes, today was a new one. We checked two luggage’s but they only loaded ONE into the flight we were on. The other luggage took its own flight and AA never alerted us. We were running around Miami airport trying to find out what happened and having trouble do to language . After an hour and a half we found out. We then missed our transport to hotel, restaurants closed, even the McDonald’s closed. So we are going to bed at Midnight with no dinner to catch another flight tomorrow. This is outrageous!!!
Nearly 14 Hours Delayed, Only a $12 Meal Voucher
Our flight was delayed from 10:57 a.m. until 12:55 a.m. the following day—almost 14 hours. Despite this lengthy delay, the only assistance we received was a single $12 meal voucher per person. There were two of us traveling, and no additional meal vouchers, hotel accommodations, or place to rest were provided.
We were traveling on a connecting itinerary with a layover originally scheduled for more than three hours. Instead, we ended up spending approximately 14 hours at the airport with only $12 each to cover food during that entire time.
I am grateful that we were adults traveling without children, because I cannot imagine how difficult this experience would have been for a single parent traveling with a child. Being stranded at an airport for so many hours with such limited support is unacceptable.
I understand that flight delays can happen, but American Airlines should provide better assistance to passengers facing such a lengthy disruption.
Absolutely atrocious all round
Absolutely atrocious all round. No care whatsoever for their passengers, no kindness, no care to sit young children with their parents on a 15hr flight. Never ever again fly them
