Eye Exam
After looking for a place to get an eye exam for glasses and contacts, I came across America's Best who has a great deal for an eye exam and 2 pair of glasses for $69.95 + $20.00 for a contact exam. What a deal. I had to wait two weeks for an opening. I am Nanny for my 5 month old grandchild, so my daughter took an early lunch to take care of her while I had my exam. She was running behind, which caused me to be 7 minutes late for my appointment. Five minutes is the grace period and I was turned away for being 2 minutes past that. Rules are rules, but I was quite disappointed. I was told that they called me stating that I not be more than 5 minutes late. I did not receive that or any call, but a text message stating the time of my appointment and a number to reschedule, if needed. I did reschedule with them, but did some research and found another optical place that I scheduled an appointment with instead. I ended up spending more money, but it worked out much better for me, in the long run.
