the Service isnt very useful for people trying to make more money than Angie takes, customers often don't respond or want you to do the work for almost free. would not recommend unless you like wasting money. i spent almost 3 months dont make the same mistake

Absolutely horrible. I cancelled a project but they keep sending my contact info to contractors. “They don’t take no for an answer. I told the Angi woman to stop, please, but she said “that’s just how it is”. The contractors she sends are relentless. They call throughout the day, evenings, early mornings, Sunday…. My blocked list keeps growing. When will it end?

I needed to hire a gutter company (or handyman) to rehang an existing gutter to fix the slope. That was all. Put it all into their AI-generated comment section, clearly not a big job. Asked for one company. They called immediately (of course) and said THEY DID NOT GET THE COMMENTS FROM ANGIE'S and so did not see that my job was too small and what they would not do. Then a CSR from Angie's called me directly, ensured me the company's received the job description. He had a second company who wanted to reach out to me based upon my job description. Sure. They called immediately (of course) and said We don't do jobs that small and didn't see the job description. So a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. No, I will NEVER use this website again. Had better luck with Yelp and the Yellow Pages.

If you leave a bad review, they will make the contractor pay you back until you are content, then remove the bad review. Thus, none of their contractors have bad reviews.

Today, I had to follow up on a customer service ticket that was started 96 hours earlier, as whomever received the ticket from the "supervisor queue" reviewed it and closed it without following up at all. This was after multiple assurances that all tickets receive follow up within a maximum of 48 hours due to company policy.
Angi is continuing to be very shady with regard to a simple question regarding contractor compensation after we learned that a contractor was to be compensated a mere 10% of what we paid for assembly of a structure we purchased through Bed Bath and Beyond. Angi indicated they could only tell us that "... a significant portion of the payments goes towards compensating the skilled pros who provide the services", and the rest of what we paid that was not quoted to the contractor was "...allocate(d).... to maintain and enhance the platform. This includes payments to other platforms and services that contribute to the seamless functionality and improvement of (Angi's) services, ensuring (the customer) receive(s) the best possible experience." (Customer Service chat on 6/11/26).
Today, in addition to again failing to answer my compensation question, they also failed to provide an escalation path via phone above the standard customer service representative level, and indicated they were only allowed to re-open the ticket and send it back to the "supervisor queue".
Angi's customer service team is certainly living up to their 2.4 star reputation so far, and shows no sign of deviating from their broken and nonsensical process. While I fully expect to receive the basic, simple information I am requesting, the amount of work it is taking to obtain that has shown that Angi is NOT the amazing and reliable resource they claim to be.

All the leads we took were weak. One person had 4 othere contractors scheduled that day to bid on the same job. Contractors stay away!

Completely terrible from start to finish. The app itself is poorly designed and not user friendly. My services were canceled 5 minutes before the professional was supposed to arrive twice. When I tried to talk to customer service, all I got were AI agents who LIED to me and told me they were real people. One of the worst experiences I've had with any service.

After reading that I'd be put in touch with local pros I was utterly swamped with out-of-town voicemails & even hangups when the call(s) went to VM (Note: I'm unable to answer calls while at work). I'm in SW Indiana. No way will it be cost-effective to hire someone headquartered several states away. I can easily see paying a markup on local talent to whom they provided the lead. No thanks!

They sent a drunk guy to do a simple drywall repair and he ruined my wall instead of patching it. He fell down in front of my house and urinated on himself. They then sent a replacement for him to fix the issue but he was also drunk. He did not even start the job but instead smoked in my driveway and then left. I gave up and just ended up doing the job myself in a about 2 hours. When I spoke to the company customer service they became aggressive and combative. I would never contact these fraudsters again.

I want to highly recommend 4 tree services that responded positively to my request!...Hoosier Tree Techs, PR Tree Service, Cesar Design & Landscape and Extreme Tree Care! .... we were very lucky to chose one of these providers and i would highly give "4 thumbs" to all four of these companies!

Just don't do it. HORRIBLE customer service. Dozens of emails, last-minute rescheduling without consulting the customer; very unreliable! Time wasted. I could have hired my own handyman weeks ago.

Don’t I repeat please don’t fall for the guaranteed lead bull they try to sell you on. You get 25 verified leads per month. That’s nothing but bull. A guaranteed for them is just to send you some random customer info. They don’t do anything to verify. It’s even a real customer. I tried it myself went on the app put a fake address to request for some service and it went through for all we know they have third-party people making fake request. They say customers can pick who they wanna work with. They generate at least five companies that means off the top, They are making at least 650+ just for sending them to five vendors.
We tried them for about a month they sent us over bull leads we tried to work them for at least five days calling a few times a day and no response. We then tried to request the money back for the lead and they said just because the customer does not answer that’s not a valid reason to refund your money back. How are these verified lead if we can’t even communicate with the customer? There is some type of fraud going on with Angie’s list. I can almost guarantee they have third-party people making fake request to charge vendors. Angis need to be investigated.

There were 2 pros as they were called. I have brush that needs hauled off. It would take me 4 trips with my 5 by 10 trailer. 1st pro stated it would start at 550 and be closer to 750. 2nd pro said he would go by and get me a quote. After 1 month still no valid quote. Wasted time is all I got from using.

Absolute biggest rip off ever. I seriously feel scammed. The salesman that signed me up,Justin, was annoying AF and obviously a sleazy salesman, flat out lied to me about multiple things.Told me these were "high quality leads" These people were actively looking for contractors and couldn't find them. He told me how amazing I was gonna do because I'm a licensed contractor.
I paid $350 for 7-13 leads. I received 9 leads. Of those nine, six wouldn't even answer the phone or text, and I was calling within 1-7 minutes of getting the lead. Out of the other 3 leads,2 flat out told me they weren't even sure if they wanted an estimate, they would call me back if they decided to get an estimate and 1! One! lead I got a $99 estimate fee, gave her the estimate and she told me my price was fair, and she'd call me if she decided to have the work done.... So I'm still $251.00 in the hole for my 1st month with Angie's.
Never again....
IF YOU'RE A CONTRACTOR,DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!!?

Recommend highly JLP Custom Paint Company, Princeton, NC. Jeff (owner) delivers and surpasses all expectations. We are a repeated customer! And once again we received outstanding customer service, expert advice, and dedication to quality design (paint color options and final 2-color selection). Jeff (owner) and JT did a superb job painting our complex & weathered exterior of our house (cedar 40yr old house). Their dedication to detail was seen everyday. If you need your house painted (inside or out) we recommend JLP Custom Paint company.

Handyman, no experience or knowledge of the brand of range/oven or the problem I advised them of, agreed that the element needed replacing, I ordered part and he said to call when they arrived and he would return to finish the job. Phone call not returned. email not answered. Overpriced complete scam. Do not use.

As a Handyman, Angi system sux. No info on job until you accept, and the job is nothing you would be interested in, yet you are charged a fee, with no recourse. This is the worst of the platforms, as others give you much more info before they ding you. Angi is a money grab, so if you are interested in them, run as fast as you can. If only I could let more people know about this sorry platform, I would pay!!!

Never ever get into a contract with Angie. They will take your money, give you leads for work that you don’t offer, and not refund you. Most of their other leads are garbage to expect customers to not return phone calls. It is just a big giant waste of money. I would give zero stars if I could.

Odd Jobs Chattanooga is amazing they put everything they had into a major cleanup for a job that I would still be working on if I was doing it myself. I place a wanted add on Angie’s list and within 20 minutes I heard from this group we made arrangements to meet the next day.
I only had 2 days to complete this project and before the end of the second day it was done. They are great workers. I’m recommending them to everyone. Fair, efficient, and dedicated to their job. If you are needing a small job or a large job to be done I recommend these guys.

A worker, Andrew Bozman cleaned up my yard. He did a fantastic job. I want this review on record.
