They change the price after you sign up.

I’m extremely dissatisfied. They asked me for my years of driving experience and my no-claims bonus history. I entered everything correctly, they gave me a price according that data, I paid the deposit, and they even sent me all the policy documents.

Now they are saying that because I had a claim two years ago — which was only a minor scratch on another car’s bumper — they are wiping out my driving history and refusing to recognise my 7 years of driving experience.

AXA gives you a price, verifies your information with documents, lets you complete the contract and once everything is arranged and paid, they call you to tell you that the price will be €300 more per year.

Do not take out insurance with AXA. They change the price after you sign up.

It’s a scam.

38 mins waiting to talk to someone and counting ....

Over 38 mins on hold to ask a simple question about my insurance - when will these companies realise that sometimes we just need to talk to them and that email is not always the solution - so frustrating but have used to time well to look at alternative quotes with other companies

If there was 0 stars I'd pick that

If there was 0 stars I'd pick that. Axa are a disgrace. Quoted myself online with the same details and got a renewal quote for 500 euro more than that. Then they refuse to match online quotes by finding a sneaky silly way of avoiding it. Long waits when you call speaking to a computer. Absolutely no loyalty to customers I have been with thrm 5 years and never had a good experience contacting them. Just a disgrace all round and no help whatsoever. Tip - don't go anywhere near them.

No contact and complete disregard

I’m extremely unhappy. I rented a car and AXA was the insurance hired. I had opened a ticket to get a reimbursement as they have told me to do. It says they get back in contact within 5 working days. It’s been 17 days with no answer. When I called the customer service, they said they can’t find the policy or the claim in their system, so nothing they can do, which is ridiculous as I have it all on my emails. I’ll never use their services again.

Axa lapsed my car insurance without notice

I had my car insured with Axa this year. I forgot to send in the documents and without any notice my car insurance was cancelled 2 weeks before I noticed. When I phoned them, the customer service and help was shockingly bad. I'd never go with Axa again. Serious breach on their side.

Superb customer service and best price in the market!

I have been with AXA for my car insurance from the start and recently got home insurance. I entered a few wrong details and the girl on the phone was so patient and helpful (unfortunately I can’t remember her name!).
I really needed a document urgently for my mortgage drawdown and Conan Fegan was an absolute gentleman. As we are heading into a bank holiday weekend he went above and beyond to make sure I had my document in time (that otherwise would have taken 7 days to arrive by post).
I highly recommend AXA for their costumer service. This wasn’t the first time I had to contact them and every time without fail the lovely people working there have made it so easy to resolve anything.

Customer service VERY unprofessional!

Was on the phone nearly 15 minutes trying to get a quote from a guy and he just hangs up on me. Gave him details like name, car registration and a new van reg I was trying to get where he puts me on hold for nearly 6 minutes and he just hangs up, very unprofessional that don't you think.? As if that wasn't bad enough I rang back again and again I got put on hold this time from a girl named Leah who sounds like she's miles away from the phone or headset, I tell her my name and she just hangs up aswel! Is this what your customer service team do now because it's 4.30 in the day and they don't want to take calls so late and do their job.? Highly highly unprofessional business! I guess I'll be taking my business somewhere else!

AXA motor insurance

Motor insurance with AXA for over 20 years, no claims, no points. Recent renewal €571. Happened to phone another random company and got a quote of €460. AXA revised to €500 but would not match competitor. So I ended up leaving after 20 years over a price difference of €40. I have 2 other vehicles also insured with AXA. Plus their home insurance quotes were always uncompetitive. I am disappointed with them.

Sadly I was let down by AXA

Sadly I was let down by AXA. I had an emergency. My porch glass roof was leaking due to the heavy rain. I rang home emergencies to be told to the point WE DONT COVER GLASS ROOFS by the agent. I looked up Axa and clearly written on their site WE COVER GLASS ROOFS. After several phone calls with several people from Axa I eventually got a contractor to attend my glass roof. GREAT no.He spent 5 minutes running silicone along the flashing to no avail. Still leaking. WHATS THE POINT OF THAT I asked only to be told That's what I was told by Axa. Axa were repairing my roof remotely.
It was a waste of time.I had the roof repaired by a glazer. He explained the wind was the problem pushing the rain under the flashing. Simple fix.
I now join all the one star dissatisfied customers

Axa breakdown service is a joke

Axa breakdown service is a joke. I’m sitting by the side of the road broken down. They offer me a 24 km limit towing service and NOTHING more. Very poor over the phone service also. Abysmal!!! Changing insurance provider next time for sure.

A very disappointed customer

I have cancelled all my policies with Axa
Because of a very disappointing experience with them, we had serious storm damage to a roof. The assessor didn't come, we were told a the man was sick and couldn't come they would send another. 3 weeks later he came. In the mean time there was another storm which did more damage. This wear and tear was used as a reason not to pay out.our premium has always been paid in full and on time. I felt it was very unfair.

I cannot speak highly enough of Ciara…

I cannot speak highly enough of Ciara and Yvonne at AXA, who went absolutely above and beyond in assisting me. From start to finish, they demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, empathy, and dedication that made an incredibly stressful situation far more manageable.

Both Ciara and Yvonne were consistently patient, taking the time to explain every step clearly and ensuring I fully understood the process. They anticipated potential complications before they became issues, offering guidance and solutions proactively, which saved me significant time and worry.

What truly sets them apart is their genuine commitment to helping their clients. They treated my concerns with seriousness and care, and I always felt supported and respected. Their responsiveness, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile were remarkable.

It is rare to encounter people in any organization who combine such expertise with human kindness, and Ciara and Yvonne are shining examples of this. AXA is incredibly fortunate to have them on the team, and I would wholeheartedly recommend their assistance to anyone.

Allows fraud

Terrible experience. Doesn't take insurance Fraud seriously even if reported several times. Allows fraudsters to keep their policy as long as they are paying money.

Pathetic

Pathetic, rude, unprofessional service. How do you select your agents ? Do they even have to pass interviews do get the job ? Called for a quote on a classic car. Got to speak to very unprofessional guy - chewing, yawning, using profane language. “Nobody is going to insure you in this country buddy, the car is too old” and hung up… 19 years no claim full Irish license… The call was made is Monday 2nd of March at 15:30 if you AXA ever bothered to follow up but I doubt.
