Horrible
Horrible. I ordered an item shown as available for purchase. Then I tried to indicate that I bought it. It then shows me that it is already bought. Now she will get 2 as I cannot return it and can only get store credit. Such a crummy experience.
You will most likely end up with duplicate items and not be able to return them!
Horrible service. This is my first baby so I didn't know any better. Firstly, they told one of my guests an item was out of stock so she ordered it on Amazon independently, then the next day another guest ordered the same item and it shipped out so I ended up with a duplicate item. Now trying to return 2 of the items I received, Babylist has asked that I reach out to the purchaser for the tracking numbers to start returns via Amazon, which I did, and Amazon says that the gifts are not marked as gifts. So I am now sitting here with $300 worth of items I need to return speaking with an Amazon rep that barely speaks English trying to get permission to return my items. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE A REGISTRY DIRECTLY ON AMAZON SINCE ALL THEIR STUFF COMES FROM AMAZON ANYWAYS.
Edit: Also forgot to add they ship everything super late!

Ordered expensive gift in plenty of time to get the gift before a baby shower. My order went through and a week later I was notified there was a problem and my gift hadn't shipped. I will now have to go to the shower with no gift. Buy your gifts elsewhere!

order for a shower on March 14 and they are not shipping until March 17th. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND I WOULD NEVER USE THEM FOR A BABY REGISTRY!!
Unbelievably slow shipping
Unbelievably slow shipping. I ordered baby wipes and shampoo on 1.20.26 and was finally notified of shipping that will arrive on or around 2.11.26. Are they making the wipes before shipping.
SUPER Late Shipping
Here's what I wrote them. I am awaiting their response.
"Hello,
I just received an email notifying me that my order has now shipped. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.
The items in this order were purchased specifically for a baby shower that took place on January 10, 2026. I ordered with the clear expectation—based on your stated delivery timelines—that the gifts would arrive in time for that event. They did not.
In fact, mine were the only gifts that did not arrive. Shipping the order after the baby shower completely defeats the purpose of the purchase.
I would like an explanation as to why the promised delivery timeframe was not met, and more importantly, how you intend to resolve this. At a minimum, I am requesting compensation or a refund for the order itself, given that it no longer serves its intended purpose. And I would like something extra, as well, like a gift card I can send the expectant parents as an apology for not sending any gifts.
Please respond promptly with a resolution. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and I hope you will take responsibility and address it appropriately."
Babylist does not support or care about parents of newborn children
We had an absolutely terrible experience with Babylist, at the exact moment when reliable service matters most: the birth of a newborn.
We spent $500 on a Harbor Baby Monitor on November 12th. What arrived was only half of the product — Babylist shipped the wrong box, so we received the screen but not the actual camera needed to monitor our baby.
I discovered this on December 7th and immediately contacted Babylist. They acknowledged the mistake and said they would send a replacement unit ASAP, which gave us some relief. Our baby was born on December 11th.
We came home from the hospital with our newborn — and still had no working baby monitor.
When I followed up, I learned that Babylist had chosen to send the replacement using the cheapest, slowest possible shipping method, which then got lost in the mail. At this point, we urgently needed the monitor. Since we already had the screen, I asked them to rush just the camera to us.
They refused.
Instead, they insisted on sending an entirely new unit — again, without rushing it. When I asked them to expedite shipping, I was told that “their system can’t process rush shipping,” which is simply not believable. They chose not to fix their own mistake in a timely way because it would cost them more money.
It is now January 6th. Because Babylist again chose the cheapest shipping option, there is:
No tracking
No delivery date
No accountability
We have no idea when this $500, critical piece of baby safety equipment will arrive — weeks after our child was born.
This experience has made it painfully clear that Babylist does not care about parents, newborns, or fixing their own errors.
One more major warning:
If friends or family contribute money to a diaper fund or any cash fund on Babylist, you cannot withdraw that money to use elsewhere. You are forced to spend it on Babylist’s limited selection of products, which also take a long time to ship.
If you are expecting a baby and need reliability, urgency, or basic customer care — avoid Babylist at all costs.
You have been warned.
Incredibly Disappointing Customer Service
I’m extremely disappointed with Babylist’s customer service. I purchased a bottle sterilizer from my registry only a few weeks ago, and shortly after, the price dropped. I reached out expecting a simple price adjustment—something most retailers handle with basic courtesy and common sense.
Instead, Babylist insisted that the only way to receive the price difference was to ship back the large, heavy item and repurchase it at the new price. I’m 39 weeks pregnant, the baby could arrive at any moment, and they still expect me to lug this bulky box to a shipping location just to achieve the exact same end result that a straightforward credit would accomplish.
This policy is not only inconvenient—it’s completely unreasonable. It shows zero regard for customers, especially expectant parents who rely on Babylist precisely for convenience and support during an already challenging time.
I genuinely regret choosing Babylist for my registry. Their rigid policies and lack of empathy made what should be a simple, supportive experience unnecessarily stressful. I hope they rethink how they treat their customers, but based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Returns process is overly complicated and convoluted . Stores that link to BabyList do not recognize babylist for return policies and makes items unreturnable.
AVOID BABYLIST LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Would give them minus grade, if possible. AVOID BABYLIST LIKE THE PLAGUE. We ordered gift for a shower, they took 3 weeks to deliver it. BUT THEY DELIVERED IT TO US RATHER THAN RECIPIENT, whose address we provided.. When we contacted them, their first response was that they could not pick up the huge, heavy box, that we'd have to take it to fedex, get credit for return, then reorder. W e are senior citizens and responded that it was not possible. They finally agreed to send Fedex to pick up gift and redeliver. Since their order form has no obvious place to write gift card, I asked how that could be done, and rep sent me on wild goose chase. Finally found it, but meanwhile phoned company. First they said, 14 minutes wait time. After five minutes wait, they then said 22 minute wait time. HUH??? When they finally answered, rep said hello, and before I could speak, he hung up. Called again, got 13 minute wait. Still waiting for their notification as to when fedex will pick up box.HORRIBLE!
Unsolicited spam.
I have randomly started receiving spam from this company. I don’t have a baby and have never heard of them. Clearly they are obtaining emails in illegitimate ways. Be warned.
horrid customer service
I purchased a crib and when I went to assemble it and it was missing pieces they asked me to reach out to the manufacturer. After I told them it was sold out everywhere they still wanted to wait for the manufacturer to get back to me even though the manufacturer did not have a solution. The easy and quick resolution would have been to refund the money or offer to replace it with another crib instead of me not having a sleeping solution for my daughter.
Terrible buying experience (couldn't cancel)
I bought a gift through Babylist and was not able to cancel when I got the confirmation and realized it was being sent to me instead of the expectant parents. My order confirmation said "Orders may be canceled up to 45 minutes after you purchase." However, clicking that link (well within the 45 minutes) just sent me to a Babyllst website page telling me the way to cancel would be by clicking the link I had just clicked. It was an endless loop! When I talked to a "Happiness Hero" on the phone help line the next morning (since the help line wasn't staffed at night), he suggested I either refuse delivery of the package or else return it and reorder. Not very helpful! This company needs an online cancellation process that actually works.

I would give it 0 stars if that was an option.
I wish I’d known how limiting Babylist is before setting up Group Gifting. When friends “chip in,” the money becomes Babylist store credit that you cannot cash out. If a brand or big-box retailer runs a better Black Friday/holiday sale (which happens a lot), you’re stuck paying with store credit at Babylist instead of buying where it’s cheapest.
Babylist also doesn’t price match, so their price can lag behind OEM or retailer promos. The much touted 15% completion discount only applies to items sold by Babylist, has brand exclusions, and caps at $300, nice if it applies, useless if your item is excluded or cheaper elsewhere. I’ve also seen stale prices on linked retailer items; the “real” price only shows after you click out.
Bottom line: Use Babylist strictly as a universal registry hub to organize links. For group contributions, choose a Cash Fund (Venmo/PayPal) or register directly with a retailer so you keep control during sale season. I learned the hard way that Group Gifting trades flexibility for store credit. I won’t use it again.
Awful company
Awful company. Cancelled my very big order without any explanation in the last day of expected delivery (I paid extra for a faster delivery), support is useless and slow. I regret that I have another order there and now I’m afraid of long delivery or unexpected cancellation. I regret I paid them

Truly one of the worst options you can use.
Paid $40 plus for shipping on their already over priced items just for it to arrive 7 weeks later. I was willing to pay extra for the simplicity but not for it to arrive 7 weeks later and after my friend had their baby.
Customer service said it’s within their contracts and sent me a copy.
Definitely avoid at all costs
CAUTION****SCAM WARNING for baby list
Be very careful with this company. I spent $1500 on a gift for my daughters registry and after it said that it had shipped it cancelled all of the sudden. No refund, no explanation, no nothing. Just told it was a suspicious transaction. Let me be clear, I paid them and they took the money from my card and then they cancelled the order with no refund!!!!
Placed order for friends baby shower
Placed order for friends baby shower. The item never showed up. Contacted company and keep getting told it’s normal for this type of thing to happen. They tell me to give it more time.
Their tracking info shows me nothing.
Will not recommend or do future business with this company!
Like most reviews state
Like most reviews state: extremely slow to ship and tracking info is useless. Worse: when I ordered an item it wasn't removed from the registry, so somebody else ordered the same item and I had to return it and order something else. Order from elsewhere or you WILL be sorry !
They SUCK
They SUCK! Totally ignore your order until you call! Then they said they're too busy? Seriously? 33 DAYS to send a package? NEVER BUY FROM BABYLIST! they're too busy. Not for long. Worst customer service EVER!!
