I have a pretty complex app I'm trying to build. I have had two hiccups that I desperately needed further assistance with, both time sensitive. I reached out immediately and within a day i received an answer and a solution. Base44 exceeds any expectations i had about building a custom app. Im glad their reputation is well deserved as the best app building platform available.

I am writing to share my positive experience with the Base44 technical support team.

I recently encountered an issue with our implementation and contacted your support department for assistance. The service provided was excellent and very direct. Thanks to their help, we successfully resolved the issue and are now able to proceed with the next steps of our development.

I get offered a lot of app building software. I am always sceptical when something reports to be "easy" so imagine how surprised I was to discover Base44 really is "Easy". I have never built an app so after I signed up for the free deal, I gave it a try. I was asigned a superagent I could contact via Whatsapp and so it began. It said"Tell me what you want to build as if you were just talking to a friend" so I did. I built my first app then signed up for the year so i could get the best deal. I chat all my ideas over on whatsapp and it gives me the magic formula to copy and paste into the builder. Any problems, the agent works it out and I simply copy and paste the fix. So I had a problem that the agent could not work out and I was put in contact with a Human. I had a response within three hours then over the next two days this complex problem was solved. The support was both efficiant and helpful. I am one week into my first month of subscription and I am impressed with how "Easy" it really is. I now have my first app, fully functioning. With the help of my whatsapp chats we have worked out every improvement until the app is perfect. I still have plenty of credits left to begin my next project so I am a fully converted Base44 fan. My only two negatives are as follows. It would be nice if I could have the choice of buying extra credits if I did need them. I do feel the option to buy an addon credit pack would be a simple solution for anyone worried they may run out before the month is up. My other thought was that I wish I had known sooner that Base44 was owned by Wix. I have used Wix for many years for building and maintaining my website so I probably would have given this a go sooner because of my great experiences with them.

Base44 team helped me identify which functions were using integrations credits so that I can improve app efficiency.

I truly enjoy the software! However, I faced some challenges with the annual membership payment during my attempts to downgrade. I learned that downgrading is only possible after paying the annual fee, which was a bit confusing. Unfortunately, I decided to delete my account for now. I would definitely consider using Base44 again in the future if there were an option to downgrade without the having to pay monthly and the annual fee.

I made a mistake on a yearly purchase and all I did was get my little ticket for support wrote what my issue was and the next day, received an email that it was solved so I was very thankful and grateful for that

Repeated failed repairs, credits consumed, issues marked fixed before live verification, and refusal to reinstate credits despite documented recurring failures.

Awful customer service, and poor terminology when purchasing the monthly plans. i clicked on the $16 plan which ended up bundling into a yeas worth of monthly credits charging my account $336. (3 times as expensive if paying for the top monthly plan for 10k credits) instead of helping me out they said i was Shit out of luck. Not to mention how buggy it is. youll have to spend 200 credits just to fix it lol. crooked ass people on base44. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

I signed up to build a talent booking app. After weeks of going in circles, the platform failed to deliver a working product.

When I raised my concerns and requested a discount, I was declined. I stopped using the service entirely and was then charged again the following month. When I requested a refund, I was told all fees were non-refundable under their terms.

The platform itself felt buggy, and the AI build process lacked the reliability needed for a professional business tool. I ultimately had to abandon Base44 and rebuild elsewhere at significant additional cost.

I may be one of the most patient people in the world, and yet they still managed to push me beyond my limits. I have collected all the data from SuperAgent constantly telling me what actions to take, only for it to waste my time and credits and then apologize afterward, claiming it made a mistake.

DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM. What started as a simple project turned into an absolute disaster of support incompetence, fake demonstrations, and corporate deception.Here is exactly how they trap and lie to users:The Pricing Lie: Technical support sent video recordings claiming manual code editing works on the free tier. When called out, they were forced to admit it was a lie and that manual code edits are completely locked behind paid plans. They use staff accounts to film fake demonstrations to trick users.The 9-Agent Carousel: They passed a single ticket around to over 9 different support agents (Dariia, Gal, Rob, Zhraa, Liran, etc.) because they prioritize speed over actually solving problems. Nobody reads the chat history, leading to constant contradictions.The Endless AI Loop Trap: They limit free users to a tiny credit pool. When you use the AI to fix a problem, the AI fixes that one issue but introduces a brand-new bug. You are forced to waste your limited daily credits just fixing the AI's own broken code, trapping you completely.The 500-Character CRM Trap: They lock customer replies to a strict 500-character limit. This is intentionally designed to sabotage customers from being able to paste back the team's own contradictory chat logs to prove their mistakes.Out-of-Touch Sales Pitch: After blowing right past my May 25th deadline to fix their CRM bottleneck, agent #9 actually tried to pitch me a paid plan! After all of this, after raging a war against them, they honestly expected me to go "Oh, ok, I will pay you now"? They are completely out of their minds.Tip for web builders: look at every level of your paid and unpaid plans and ask "Would I be happy with this if I were a customer?" Then fix it. Save your time and money—stay far away from Base44.(Note: Do not trust whatever Base44 replies under this review, because it is 99% going to be false damage control).

UPDATE: Base44’s reply below just completely proves my point. They publicly admit that they trap free users behind a paywall when the AI breaks, and they admit they use a chaotic "agent carousel" that passes a single ticket to 7+ different people who don't read the history .They call them "experts," but these agents don't even know how their own system works and copy-paste the exact same corporate scripts publicly. They have no solution for their broken system. My 1-star warning stands: DO NOT USE.

Base44 has become more expensive, more opaque, and honestly more disappointing over time. They keep saying the subscription price is the same, but that does not change the real issue: if a prompt used to cost 1 credit and now it can cost up to 3, the real cost of using the platform has clearly gone up. For people actually building serious projects, credits disappear much faster, even when the AI gives incomplete results, breaks existing features, fails to fix the problem, or creates more work than it solves. That is not fair, and it does not feel transparent. If Base44 is making serious money and growing so much, then fix your damn platform instead of making everything more expensive and squeezing more money out of users. The tool has potential, but the current credit system feels abusive, calculated, and designed to drain users before they get anything truly finished. Stop hiding behind “the subscription price stayed the same” when the real usage cost has clearly increased.

Base 44 were fabulous i every regard to me, a non technical /AI /computer person set up my own website. I simply wrote what my business plan was and viola a beautifully designed structured website. I could ask Base44 to add this or add that and VIOLA ! perfect website. Just ask them to do whatever you want and the format and layout perfect
