We were booked into Bastion Hotel Barendrecht arrived early for one night, at reception we were told that our room wasn’t ready happy to wait

Then a few minutes later the house manger told us that there was a problem with our room, no other availability for that night, she told us that there was a room for us at the sister hotel Bastion Hotel Dordrecht Papendrecht

She rang the hotel to confirm we would take the room, we had an upgrade too, she also had our two main meals paid for, as it was an inconvenience

This was a wonderful gesture from Naomi, she deserves recognition for sorting out the problem

We’d recommend the Bastion Hotel Group if your in the Netherlands

The staff was helpful. Room was clean and neat.
The hotel bed mattresses and pillows were average, could have been better.
The domestic cleaning services were of good standards.
Our baggage and laptop was secured inside the rooms.
The space between sink and the toiletry sill ( splash zone ) was very narrow It was difficult to wash face.
