Great experience at Blacks. The staff were really helpful. Qasim in particular went out of his way to help me find the right gear, took the time to explain the differences between a few options, and didn't rush me at all. Good range of stock and a clean, well organised store. Shame its closing. Thank you Qasim for all the help

I was at Black's Cardiff, assisted by William. Firstly, he answered the phone when I called. He was knowlegeable, helpfull and able to answer all questions I had. He helped me assemble a camp bed, just to see how it worked. He gave tips related to his personal experience with the products and went the extra mile.

Absolutely incredible customer service that made me and my two children feel welcome we purchased a pair of brasher boots that fit like glue XD ;)

Came in to buy a backpack with my boyfriend as we are doing the coastal path including Beddgelert. The staff are fantastic very helpful and she helped me find the perfect backpack, we didn't feel rushed and we are very grateful for her taking the time to help us.

Really pleased with my daughter’s new shoes. Becca came to help us find the right size and shoe for my daughter who went from dreading trying on shoes to loving the experience. Will be back again!

The staff are nothing but helpful everytime I visit! Would absolutely recommend this little shop to any walker, always got some great deals in store. Sophie was so knowledgable when serving me on footwear, and I was swayed to go from a pair of cheaper boots to a pair of merrells after she explained the benefits! Will be back again 👍👍

Not an ideal shoping experience!! Walked into store was greated by somone on the door pleasant enough.
Looking at body warmers of which a certain make/style you had 3 on the peg. Asking if you had anymore in a different size was met by whats there is there. ( no offer of ordering to store, or checking for other sizes. This was not a sale item/clearence or even black friday reduced stock so to say you hold 3 items in stock I dont exactly believe) how ever we move on i take my choosing item to the till. 1 person serving clearly doing some other task that I felt I had interrupted and caused a huge inconvenience to take my £110 purchase.

That was the total engagement.
And carried on cleaning.
Not friendly, not smily and as I customer I genuinely felt I had interrupted far more important store cleaning duties.
If this wasn't a Christmas present I doubt I would of purchased.
Side note. Your store was extremely hot. To the point I witnessed 3 people
( 2 x seperate partys ) leave the store in my very short visit complaining to each other on how warm and uncomfortable it was to shop due to the heat instore.
Not recommend will not return to Cardiff branch certainly
