Bookbaby was a good fit for what I needed. Their support has been helpful and responsive. The printed books are good quality, and their online system is not difficult to use. I plan to continue to use them going forward.

My experience with this company was excellent. They were highly professional, thorough, and consistently responsive throughout the entire process. Their communication was outstanding, both by phone and through follow-up correspondence, and every interaction was courteous and helpful. I was especially impressed by the speed of delivery—I expected a much longer wait, but my books arrived remarkably quickly. This company clearly values customer service, efficiency, and professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Book Baby did everything they said they would do. I used their services to provide interior formatting for soft-cover, hard-cover and eBook, as well as posters and bookmarks, and a Facebook ad campaign. The quality of the books, paper and printing, posters and bookmarks was excellent and of professional quality. The finished product was a book I can be proud of. Their customer service representatives addressed all of my questions in a respectful and professional manner, and made corrections as necessary throughout the process. One week into the ad campaign, the Facebook ads have reached an average of about 1300 people a day, with about 10% clicking on the link to my book. As a first time indie author I'd say it was well worth the investment of time and money to use their services and would recommend Book Baby to any authors looking for a publishing partner.

I found your offerings confusing. I need a service to help me figure out which services I need and how much the combined cost will be. Also, I wrote my novel in the format I've used for ebooks in the past. But to have BookBaby proofread my novel, I had to reformat the manuscript. And now, I'll have to pay BookBaby to reformat it (or do that myself).

Professional service and helpful support throughout the publishing process. The team was responsive, the print quality looked good, and they helped guide me through formatting, distribution, and setup for my poetry collection.
The only downside for me was the pricing, which can get expensive depending on the services you choose. However, overall I had a positive experience and appreciated the professionalism and support they provided during the process.

My book contains many photo images. I think the quality of the printed images could have been better if there had been better guidance and communication up-front regarding converting RGB image files to CYMK. Other than that, I was very happy with my BookBaby experience.

Warning: I just got a charge from Bookbaby for $574.00. I never called them or contacted them for services.

Great line editing and proof reading services. It was great to receive not only the marked up manuscript with notes but also the final copy already revised.

Excellent help. When a printing error happened Jaci Houston helped get the problem fixed. Everyone has been professional and helpful.

Their website helps you to put together your book step by step. You can review it and make corrections before sending it for printing. PayPal payments are available if you can't pay for your order at once.

BookBaby was very helpful, professional, and patient with me as a first-time user of this kind of service. The product they produced was excellent and timely. Costs were reasonable. Though they provide much reading material to learn how to use them, it is not unusual not to read them. That's my fault, but video tutorials or a 20- minute discussion about how this works would have helped. At the end of the day, I highly recommend them and would definitely work with them again.

BookBaby printed my book with page one printed on left hand page like a Hebrew text.
I belong to a book club which bought 12 copies of my book, Operation Delilah. ButI never received my royalties from those 12 books. They destroyed any chance of book sales by publishing a chapter-by-chapter summary of the book. After reading the summary there was no need to buy it.
Publish with Bookbaby if you like but will never use them again.
BookBaby is right when it says they did not write the chapter-by-chapter summary. They took it from the Kirkus review of my book for which I own they copy right and which Bookbaby used without my permission.
I have examined several copies of books published by Bookbaby and my book was the only one with page one on the left-hand page. As for implying the printed text was prepared by someone else, I paid Bookbaby for that printing. They had a responsibility to see that it was done correctly which obviously they did not check. When they sent me a check, they charged $1.20 to give me my own money.
I was charged for corrections made to the text that I requested but were not made until after I complained.

The folks at BookBaby are extremely helpful and friendly, responsive to all questions, and invested in making your project the best it can be.
They have amazingly quick turnaround on projects and their instructions are easy to understand on the website.
Their informative e-mails cover all aspects of self-publishing. I love this company! I have worked on several book projects with them, with a new one in the works. I wouldn't use anyone else.
