I paid €185, submitted my ID and driving licence, but my cambio account is still not active. During registration, I was required to watch an information video and complete a quiz, but the video link was not visible or accessible, so I failed the quiz and could not complete activation.

When I tried the app, it appeared to request another €185 payment, despite my having already paid. Customer service told me activation can take up to two days due to verification and promised a follow-up email, which I have still not received.

The process is confusing and poorly communicated: payment is taken before the service can be used, key registration material was not accessible, and there is no clear written status update. I have paid €185 and remain unable to use the service.

Update after cambio’s public reply: cambio confirms that I cannot receive login credentials or use the app because I did not pass the test. This is precisely the problem: they took €185 before ensuring that I could clearly access the mandatory information needed to pass that test. Their response therefore confirms that a paid customer can be locked out of the service entirely due to a confusing registration process, while being redirected to customer service rather than being given an immediate solution.

One of the worst experiences we have ever had with a car rental company. Absolutely unacceptable.
We have been stranded on the street for MORE THAN FOUR HOURS with an electric car that simply will not charge. We tried FOUR different charging stations, and none of them worked. Since approximately 4:00 PM, we have been trying to get assistance, and more than four hours later, the company has STILL not resolved the situation.
The rental company simply passes the problem on to VAB, the roadside assistance/towing service, and nobody actually takes responsibility for resolving it. We have spent hours waiting and receiving estimated arrival times that are not respected. We were told the tow truck would arrive within 15 minutes; more than 40 minutes later, we were still waiting. To make matters worse, the tow truck employee himself told us that he had only received the request at 8:00 PM, even though we had been asking for help since 4:00 PM.
So, to be absolutely clear: more than four hours stranded on the street, without a working car, without a solution, and without effective assistance, causing us enormous inconvenience, including missed commitments and serious problems with clients, because of an issue that was not caused by us.
It is difficult to imagine worse customer service in an emergency situation. No proper support, terrible communication, no urgency, and a complete failure to solve the customer’s problem.
After this experience, I would not recommend this rental company to anyone under any circumstances. If you expect a rental company to provide reliable assistance when something goes wrong with the vehicle, our experience has been the exact opposite. More than four hours waiting, and as of this review, we are STILL stranded without a solution.

I had good experiences and I would love it if Cambio would offer more Electric cars in my city.

It's very good and keeps more cars of the streets. Would 100% recommend.

Cambio, that is owning your mobility and using a car when you need it, not because it is standing in front of your house. No worries either about maintenance, neither about availability, there's always one behind the next corner ready to get in to.

I use Cambio for 20 years and I find it perfect.

There's no doubt that sustainable car usage will not only depend on electrification but on car sharing, and Cambio is a great model of how this could be done.

It is not as practical as having your own vehicle and sometimes you won't get exactly the car or timeslots you need, but with a bit of planning these are easily surpassed. I hope they continue with electrification and are able to meet the growing demand for their services without decreasing quality.

The app is simple but still relatively intuitive and the issues are rare enough. Customer service works well and will almost always be able to find a solution on the spot.

Overall, if you live in a city, no reason anymore to have your own car. Let the space be freed for larger sidewalks, parks and greenery!

I'm a happy user since 2017 and my partner too at the same subscription. It's a total carefree system with friendly, helpfull staff. I've an advantage living in a big city with a lot of cars nearby.
Should I live at the countryside, it would be difficult.
