Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the pricing, feeling that the cost of tickets was excessive for the quality of the performance received. People frequently mentioned a lack of high-quality acrobatics, with many acts described as "fillers" or "time-killing" sketches that did not meet their expectations for a professional show. Reviewers also found the overall service to be poor, citing issues with venue experiences and concerns about additional VIP package costs. Some people were dissatisfied with the location, specifically mentioning problems with venue accessibility, dark stairwells, and strict security screenings that caused them to miss parts of the show. While a few customers found certain acrobatic performances exceptional and appreciated the artistry, others felt the shows lacked a clear storyline and the "wow" factor they had come to expect from previous experiences.

Our experience left really bad taste…

Our experience left really bad taste after attending performance here in Canada. On the first place the name was working well for us, but only name, nothing else was working out for us this time.
We have experience with circus back in my country and different teams were came in to my old city and beautiful circus to perform- those are was exceptional!

Buyer Beware!

Buyer Beware!
The creative juices dried up long ago, the original artists are hanging their heads in shame or rolling over in their graves.
Even worse the performance had a dark and unsettling theme of a technocratic dystopian future that is not appropriate for children!

Lost it’s shine a little

I remember it being very cool and well put together, but it didn’t quite have the “wow” factor I was expecting. Quite a lot of empty seats in the Royal Albert Hall - the tickets are too expensive. My daughter enjoyed it, which was the main thing, but personally I wouldn’t rush to go again. Given the price, I’d probably hesitate to recommend it. I also didn’t enjoy the sound track at all.

Disappointing

Disappointing. I remember the first time I went to Cirque de Soleil and was overwhelmed by the whole show but this time, I was definitely underwhelmed.
A lot of floor movements, dancing and so on and silly clowns, it seemed to me that they were just filling time between acts.
Performances were ‘good’ but lacked the ‘wow’ feeling. I think they have lost there way a little.

Paid for front row seats... told they were not available so moved to back row!

If I could have scored zero, I would have......

My husband and I attended the Wicked Wizard of Oz - A Cirque Spectacular at BP Pulse live on 22nd Dec. When we ordered the tickets, we specifically chose the VIP area. We selected Block A - Row A seats 27 and 28 so that we would be in the front row and at the end of an aisle. We paid £152.95 in total so that we could have the seats we wanted to sit in, in the area that would be best for us.

When we arrived, we were told by a member of staff from BP Pulse Live that our seats were no longer available (as were those of all of the people on the ends of the rows to the left and right of the stage) due to the show organisers changing the layout of the stage. (Not our problem!) She offered us some seats in the back row!! We told her that we did not want to sit at the back, as we had booked and paid for a front row seat. She told us to go and speak to the box office, which was absolutely pointless, because all they did was tell us the same as the lady who offered us the alternative seats. She gave us a slip of paper with an email address on it and said that we would need to email a complaint.

On our arrival home, (22-12-25) my husband sent an email explaining what had happened and requested that we be compensated. They have just responded (16-01-26) with an email that waffles on about their "legal responsibility" and that they haven't contravened their "standards of service" and therefore they will not be refunding any money to us or anyone else who was bitterly dissappointed with not having the seats they paid for and/or for the poor performance provided! So it seems that they do not even consider if they have upset their customers!

This was my response....
As a business owner, I fully understand the necessity to ensure that my customers are happy with what I do for them. This is why we have a large base of repeat customers, who request our service over and over. Because we give them exactly what they pay for. This, unfortunately, is not the case with you. I say this because, despite the fact that you did not provide the seats that we booked and paid for, you are also not at all concerned that many of your customers were upset and not happy with how they were treated or the poor standard of the show. It seems that you are actually more concerned with taking the time to get advice on whether or not you were "legally responsible" to provide your customers with a refund!!! This is shocking customer service. And because of the lack of empathy and lack of customer service we will not ever return to watch any of your shows (which I might add was very disappointing and definitely not worth money we spent on the tickets!) in any case and I am sure that after everyone has left you the relevant feedback via a review there will be lots more "potential" customers that you will have lost.

I hope that anyone considering attending one of their shows, has a re-think and looks for an alternative show where they will actually get what they paid for!! And hopefully enjoy the show......

KA' Cirque Las Vegas There are moments in live performance…

There are moments in live performance that feel less like entertainment and more like a small miracle — tonight was one of them. The evening shimmered with magic and indescribable artistry, and the baton‑twirling standout embodied that spirit completely. What struck me most was not flawless technique but the performer’s raw authenticity: her eyes radiated pure, unfiltered joy, and that joy carried through every movement to the audience. Witnessing someone so utterly present and delighted in their craft transformed the performance from skilled display into a shared, emotional experience.
The performer’s joy was the most striking element of the evening. While others might focus on technique or choreography, I watched her eyes and saw pure, unfiltered delight. There was no trace of fear or strained concentration—only radiant pleasure at being on stage. That joy was contagious; it reached the audience and moved me to tears. Seeing someone so completely satisfied in the moment made the performance unforgettable

Hugely Disappointing

We just saw Twas the Night Before Christmas at Madison Square Garden. We had previously seen 2 Cirque de Soleil shows under a big top here in CT. We treated our daughter and her husband to a night out. My wife and I couldn't have been more disappointed. This was sort of a disco show for kids. The stage setting was a very pure choice for a venue as there couldn't be high wires or trapeze. There was no emcee, we added so much to the previous shows. I was heart broken as I was so excited to see this show with our guests who found it only mildly entertaining. I told them that someday we would take them to a "real" Cirque de Soleil show.

We recently went to Joya near Playa del Carmen, Mex with my spouse and another couple. Had a great experience and having the VIP Dinner package was a super great idea. Typical Cirque du Soleil idea and precise details, the food was very good… where else did you get a menu on a card that is Eatable, again details. The performances were very good some outstanding, having live Cubana music while eating again fantastic, for us this extra in detail was great. Highly recommended.
This was our sixth cirque show, our guest were on their tenth. Ultimately O is still my absolute favourite of them all, for music I will say Allegria

Kurios performance, better stay home.

I saw performances from Las Vegas to the far east but the latest Kurios was FAR below expectations. Mainly time filling between some standard acrobatics, which was minimal anyhow, by boring and VERY LONG so called clowns performances. Definitely they lost their high quality acrobatics and time filling of this relatively short show was not what to expect from Cirque du Soleil. The tent was only partly filled another proof people already understood it's not worthwhile to go anymore. What a pity!!!

I wait to see a show with this people

I wait to see a show with this people, for ages. Dissipointing from the beggining until the end... No acrobatics, just walking some costumes, young and unexperienced staff.
The show was a disgrace. A joke and an insult for the people who pay a ticket.

Cirque du Soleil Corteo Auckland

Cirque du Soleil shows are always spectacular. What spoilt it for us at Spark Arena in Auckland was at the top of a small flight of stairs accessing the upper level, it was so dark we needed our mobile torches to light the way. Also made it difficult to see the row indicators. I have 20/20 vision but the low light was ridiculous, and dangerous.

The staff are very hostile

The staff are very hostile. You’re not allowed to take any pictures or video clip at the show and this is something strongly forbidden. I am at the cabinet of curiosities show and I was about to take a picture staff came to stop me right away no explanation at all just asked me to stop and went away. I am never going back! Not recommended.

Saw Corteo on the weekend Brisbane…

Saw Corteo on the weekend Brisbane Entertainment centre. Dissapointed in the show, not as good as previous. Did not enjoy the venue, big top much better in viewing and performance experience. Did not flow could not really understand the storyline. Minimal English spoken, and useless 'filler' type performances not relevant to anything such as a golfing skit, balloon skit and Romeo and Juliet skit. Some acrobat performances exceptional as usual with skill. Overall underwhelming for money paid and not in the same league as previous shows.

Mediocre and disappointing

Apart from being seated with a railing in our view of sight, which made it difficult to see, we found the performance mediocre, why? because apart from some interesting elements, at least half of the performances were fillers. Eg a lady strapped to balloons being pushed up and down the aisles and a head at floor level acting like a golf ball being or not being hit. Really? There was no structure or theme that flowed to the performance and was not worth the money.

On September 17 I purchased two tickets…

On September 17 I purchased two tickets for the show of Saturday 20th-2025 in Calgary Canada. if you search Cirque du Soleil on the website the first site that shows up is "TicketSales.com. I purchased the tickets for 280.35 dollars, and then I checked my bank account and noticed TicketSales withdrew 396.18 from my account. I called that company and the only explanation they gave me was that the amount was in United States Dollars... Very funny way to scam people. Very soon if a Chinese show arrives to Canada, Mexico, Brazil or any other country they are going to charge us in Yuans... By the way, I saw other cirques in my life and even for 200 Canadian Dollars the show I saw from the Cirque du Soleil is expansive.

Corteo Sydney show

Went to see Corteo yesterday at Sydney Qudos Arena.Had great seats but the show was disappointing. Have seen 2 other Cirque shows previously, both were amazing compared to Corteo. This show was bit slow, odd theme and acrobatics were average to what I've seen before. They wasted time with a romeo Juliet segment & a small person floating with balloons. I wouldn't recommend this show.

Mostly great

Now aged in my mid 60’s, over the past decades, I have seen several of the Cirque du Soleil’s productions & never once came away disappointed. I can say the same for Corteo which was held at Qudos Bank Arena at Sydney Olympic Park. At $173 per A Reserve ticket x 2 (as hubby came too), this is not a cheap night out & so I had big expectations, especially given the two sided arena staging which was very different to previous productions. It created a real connection between the audience and the performers on stage. We were seated in the first row of section 20 which was the first elevation on the ground floor. We did have a railing in front of us, which did limit the leg room we had. In that respect, it was a little cramped, but the close up view of the stage and the performers made up for the cramped leg room (sort of). Corteo tells the story of Mauro the clown, witnessing his own funeral procession and it goes through several themes of sadness, joy, humour, and acrobatics. The narration is beautifully done. It’s a visual spectacle and sometimes theres so much happening on stage, you don’t know where to look first. Theres trampolining and acrobatics on dual beds, yet also angels floating from the ceiling.

For us, there were several highlights which were giant the chandelier act, and the tiny clowness floating over the audience in oversized balloons. Some “attempted” comedy sketches such as the Romeo & Juliet segment fell flat and were completely unnecessary & not in keeping with the overall theme.
I thought the high aerial acrobatics could have gone for longer as this was significantly shorter than in previous productions. I did however enjoy one of the final acts of multiple artists performing acrobatic swinging feats on parallel bars all at the same time.

Overall, it delivered a memorable, really human experience, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to see it.
