Passionate new business helped me get my dream watch
I'm taking care to leave this detailed review precisely because Clarindon is a new business and there aren't too many reviews online.
As someone with small wrists, I've been looking for the 36mm edition of the Ball Engineer III for quite some time (I'd even call it my dream watch!) but haven't been able to find the green model with rainbow tritium indices (a rare combination) at a good price.
I took a chance on Clarindon after noticing that they had the watch available for a relatively competitive offer. The lack of reviews for Clarindon as a business initially made me pause, but I looked up the company's history and found some interesting press articles detailing its recent launch in the UK, and decided to take a chance on it given that it was a new business and that the story of its launch somewhat mirrored my own experiences as a small business owner.
After getting in touch with James, I found the ordering process to be very pleasant, and I have to say that I was very appreciative of the special effort and strong initiative that James underwent to ensure that I got my watch on time for a special event (Clarindon had to place a special order for the watch with Ball Watch Co.).
In addition to obtaining this watch for me and having it delivered on time, the folks from Clarindon sent alongside it a whole ton of Ball Watch Co. gifts including a Ball-branded genuine Swiss knife, a water bottle, a UV light and even a pair of cotton socks.
To top it off, James and Sophie included a handwritten postcard, which I appreciated. I took a bunch of photos of the watch, the gifts and the postcard, but it looks like I can't attach them here on TrustPilot. Too bad!
I really appreciate the exceptional effort that Clarindon put into placing a special order for the watch, ensuring its timely delivery, its careful shipping and packaging and the inclusion of a small army of Ball Watch Co.-branded gifts. I felt that I got a great deal on a truly special watch that I've been hoping to purchase for some time and that means a lot to me. I'm absolutely certain that I'll be wearing this watch for decades to come.
Clarindon is a new business. They don't have a lot of online reviews. However, James and Sophie truly seem to be putting in a lot of honest effort, and I hope that this early review will help others gain additional confidence in placing orders with them. My personal experience was exceptional, and James and Sophie deserve your confidence. I know for sure that if I order any watches or other jewlery-type gifts for family in the future, I'll be placing my order through Clarindon without a doubt. Why go anywhere else? :-)
