I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Codester.
I submitted my app code three different times, and each time it was rejected without any explanation or meaningful feedback. As a developer, this is extremely frustrating because I have no way of understanding what needs to be fixed or improved.
A platform that works with creators should at least provide clear reasons for rejection. Without that, it feels unprofessional and a waste of time.
I hope they improve their review process and start giving proper feedback to developers in the future.

The seller is a scammer and the platform supports him
This platform is undeniably a scam.
I bought a product from them that doesn't work as described on the product page. I requested a refund with all the evidence to support my claims and explain what happened, but the dispute was closed without any response or explanation.

Uploaded 4 Items to sell. Was sent an email declined, said read in your dashboard, go there and same notice. The site is very low quality with low quality products. Bring high end products to them and they decline. No support No Service. Now i believe the reviews here are true and anything above 2 stars is fake.

We don't suspend accounts without a very serious reason.
If you sell copyrighted items that belong to somebody else that is serious crime and you will be removed from our platform.
Copyright theft is huge problem for developers and designers and we take hard measures to fight this on our platform.

Overall good but the payment system is literally a scam.
Paying with PayPal or credit card is only possible with commission.
Adding balance is limited to certain amount. So for example if I want to buy a $30 product I need to add balance with certain amount like $25 or $50. And the rest stays in system to use later. Totally scam payment system.

Poor Quality Products & No Support
I purchased a theme from Codester, and unfortunately it turned out to be completely broken. The structure was messy, full of bugs, and nowhere near what was advertised.
Even worse, when I tried to contact the seller for support, they never responded. I also reached out to Codester support itself but got no proper help.
It seems many of the products listed on Codester are low quality or outdated, and there’s no real quality control. Sadly, I wasted both my money and time here.
I cannot recommend Codester to anyone looking for reliable scripts, themes, or apps. Be very cautious before buying, and if possible, look for alternatives where product quality and customer support are taken seriously.

We are sorry to hear about the bad experience. We are currently are in the progress of increasing the quality control for newly submitted items.
Which is unfortunately also causing a lot of 1-star reviews here from sellers why can't get their items accepted as this can be very frustrating. This is something that has to be done.
We are also increasing the level of support and updates authors have to be give. Making it more visible when an item is well supported and when not. When no proper support is given we are currently also removing authors from the marketplace.
We hope to give buyers more confidence in the Codester marketplace this way.

I am an author from codester I uploaded 8 scripts on it and made sales and recently I uploaded website I took inspiration from another website and built it and my account got suspended and lost my money.From that script I didn't made a single sale and I made sales from other scripts.If you say suspended for taking inspiration from other website and building it then you should suspend the codester platform also as it is copy of codecanyon and codegrape

We are not often happy to receive a 1-star review. In this case we are.
Our reviewer determined that you copied several scripts from other authors and sold them as your own. It was also clear that you did your best to hide the original author in the work you uploaded, so this was intentional. This was not a case of being "inspired". The identical code was found and images were pixel identical.
This was not just a mistake where somebody made a mistake about a license of a used asset, but on purpose. In the case of intensional copyright theft, you get your account permanently suspended directly.
Copyright theft is huge problem for developers and designers. Copyright theft is a serious crime and can serious harm somebody's business. We do everything to fight it.

I love Codester. Their licenses are much more flexible compared to their competitors. The support is amazing. I had issues with a seller twice on the platform, and both times their team reached out and resolved them. The second time, their CEO personally contacted me.

I am sorry to hear about your bad experience. We review all items before they are accepted on our marketplace. Quality is very important to us. It can still happen that an item is not working as advertised and that a seller is not able to fix the issue.
You can request support through the support section of the item.
In the case the item is not working as advertised and the seller is not able to fix this. You can submit a refund request. The seller can then make a decision how to handle this. If the seller refuses a refund and you don't agree, you can dispute the decision.
Our reviewer will then review the item and try to reproduce any errors or defects that are mentioned by the buyer. If the reviewer indeed finds the items not working as advertised you will be directly refunded. If no defects are found, we can't force a refund. We are marketplace and have to also respect the rights of the sellers as well as the buyers.

If a buyer and seller get of on the wrong foot. The seller should still deliver what is paid for. If he/she is not willing to do so and refuses our request. We can't do anything else then to refund your purchase and give your money back. What we did.

I got recently ratted and the hacker bought using my PayPal on this site a script. So i first conmtacted PayPal and they rejected and told me to contact them. So i contacted them and they rejected the refund, even too the purchase was made 20h ago, not only that, i have proofs too of someone having acces to my pc. Then i opened a dispute and it got rejected too.
I recommend everyone to avoid this website, if you got scammed by them report it to ic3.gov website. Gonna open later a dispute at ICANN and CloudFlare for scamming.

It's awful if something like this happens.
If somebody has unauthorized access to your Paypal account, Paypal has to take action. This proof should be sent to Paypal. They are the ones who determine unauthorized access to your account. We don't have the information Paypal has and can't determine payment fraud in a way they can.
If Paypal does not solve this, you can file a police report and sent a copy of the report this us. We will then reverse the payment.
I can understand you are upset, but I have difficulties to determine why Codester is scamming you? If have any other information, please let us know.

I bought my first application on the site and it was full of errors and problems and I contacted the programmer and it appeared to me that he was a beginner and the source code was full of problems
I said to myself that these things happen but I bought a second application and it did not work and the source code was full of errors so I decided to request to cancel the purchase and get the money back, I was surprised by the programmer's refusal and closing the request to cancel the purchase so I escalated the matter to the site management and it only took a few minutes until the refusal came to return the money even though the source code does not work
The site management and the people who work on the site are one gang and the site management is fair to the seller even though he sells things that do not work and here we say that your money is wasted
I do not recommend dealing with this site as they are scammers and you will lose your money

We are here to help you out when a product is not working and the author does not give you any solution.
When escalating a refund request to Codester, we do require information about the defect of the product. It is clearly stated in the dispute form that you have to give at least an indication what the error is or the reason for a refund and that we otherwise can't process the request.
If we receive as reason only "not working" and our reviewer is able to get the main functions of the application working, we don't have any idea what to look for or that there is anything else wrong with the application in the first place.
Or course you can still contact the seller for support to get the item working at this point in time, or contact us with detailed information about the defects. We can then review the item properly and determine if we can refund the purchase.
Codester.com IS A SCAM!!:
I bought a script from them, money was withdrawn from my account and I did not receive the product!

Yes, I received the "script" but it is under any criticism! The product is (Gathering AI Tools - Best AI Tools Directory)
The problems are the following:
1) The one who sells it admits that it is not his!
2) It does not offer SUPPORT! to the product, you are instructed to pay someone!
3) It has a lot of files from other products in it (it is a combination of about 5 different scripts)
4) He left the test files in the folders! error.log with the errors during the tests done on localhost! most of them have never been repaired!
5) The script will not update
