Very disappointing experience. I went in to buy a Fitbit Charge 6. 2 staff members working/talking at the till and another dealing with a customer. There was another customer with his son walking aimlessly waiting for someone to help him. I did a lap of the shop slowly and stopped a few times looking at products, I spent a small amount of time at the smart watch collection before having to walk to the till as nobody approached me. I stood at the till and the lady looked at the shop and said something like "who needs help im ready", I asked for a black Fitbit Charge 6 and she got it. When she took my money I asked could it be put on the account or under my number, she said it was a quick sale. I said fine, but email it to me please, which she did. She then handed me a piece of paper with the link to leave a review "you can win a free tv if you do". All the while the man next to her at the till since I came into the shop was sitting there with his head in his hands looking bored. I worked in retail and now own my own business, this store was the perfect example of what not to do in retail. On a side note, the store is depressing, it's dark and dim and uninviting. The store in turners cross is miles ahead and more in line with the shopper experience people have become familiar with the likes of Harvey Norman. Hopefully you can make changes to this store as Turners cross is totally different.
As I was leaving the other customer with his son approached and asked the man at the counter a question, he was answering him while his head was in his hands. Never once was I asked was the Fitbit the correct choice for me or was any lifestyle questions asked to gain information on whether I could have been upsold.

Absolute nightmare to deal with. Have never ever dealt with any other store, other than DID for many decades. Never had any issues until now. Purchased a new washing machine online with a delivery time of 2-3 days. Following day, received an email to say machine not available and to pick out another one. Physically got into car and went to DID on Malahide Road, Coolock. Spoke with Rep and told him everything that had happened and he preceeded to adjust order online and said it be Tuesday (today) for delivery. Took today off work to be at home and had an electrician booked to come today. At 11am I emailed customer service asking for delivery time. No response, and still no response. Rang customer service who immediately told me I wouldn't be getting machine today that order hadn't been processed. He said he'd find out what was going on and would ring me back in half an hour. No phone call and no update from CS. Rang DID in Coolock, re-itterated the whole story again. Got the same thing..Will ring you back and nothing again. Complete disaster. We try to support Irish companies despite other websites cheaper. If you need essential large appliances in a hurry, try somewhere else. Such a shame as we have always shopped DID from when they were only in Mountjoy Square. Complete waste of days holiday 😒
I purchased a soundbar in the Killarney store today. Saoirse was extremely helpful in answering my questions and I would definitely shop there again.

Good experience in killarney store. Excellent customer service. Only note would be to have bigger signs to indicate certain types of items in shop had to walk around looking for something specific. Overall good quality item and lower price than other retailers.
I bought Sony earphones last year with extra warranty from did Finglas, on holiday they broke and were out of warranty with Sony. I bought them to Finglas and a lovely lady called Emma dealt with my issue in a very friendly and professional manner, would not hesitate to recommend this business to anyone looking for electrical goods.

Oengus in Wexford was super helpful today, I needed a new microwave but am short on space and Oengus took the time to talk me through the capabilities of the smaller microwaves. The information he provided enabled me to make my decision. I will definitely be back to purchase an air fryer and kettle. Oengus even carried the product out to my car for me. The customer care was second to none. Would definitely recommend DID Wexford

A terrible experience from start to finish, no way of contacting DPD about my supposed delivery that i didn't get and then called DID twice by phone for no one to answer so I had to email instead and still waiting on a reply
I ordered 2 of the same product on 24/062026, both were in stock. I emailed on 01/07/2026 to query when could I expect delivery. I got no response. On 06/07/2026 I phoned customer care and they said they were in stock and would go with DPD that day. Parcel arrived 07/07/2026 and only 1 item was in the package. Phoned C/Care, said they only had 1 in stock and should have stock soon, I asked if they had another colour in stock, which they had and would send it out DPD.
