Whilst I see a lot of negative reviews, I cannot say the same for the DM stores in Bulgaria and Romania. So far, I'm very happy shopping in-store and online and with the store card, many discounts are available.
An even bigger bonus is that I can scan my store card across the border in Romania too!
I often shop for regular items online and the order delivery by Speedy (DPD) is super quick, often just 36 hours and my local Speedy office is literally across the road from my home.
I also like the layout of the stores, so I know where to find items instantly.

The lowest possible rating is due entirely to the staff NOT PRODUCT I visited the DM location on Wilmersdorfer Straße (opposite TK Maxx) in Berlin at 18:43. I intended to purchase a mobile top-up voucher but ended up walking out without buying anything because of the cashier's rudeness.
​The cashier did not hear me when I initially stated I needed a voucher for the Vodafone provider then she asked again which provider I wanted, I told her I had already said Vodafone. At that point, she began arguing with me, insisting, "No, you didn't, you only said 'phone'..." etc.
​Even if she had been right, she has no right to engage in a back-and-forth argument with a customer. It is incredibly unprofessional and unkind, especially when there is a slight language barrier. I don't know her name, but she wears glasses and appeared to be of East Asian descent.

I had a disappointing experience at the dm store at Breiter Weg 23-26. The cashier and staff were not kind or helpful to customers.
I came to the store with a Pampers gift code for my newborn baby. It was a small gift worth only about 4 euros. When I tried to redeem it, the staff claimed that the code had already been used more than once, even though it was the first time I used it.
The cashier even tore the voucher that contained the code in front of me, which was very upsetting.
It was frustrating to be treated this way over such a small and meaningful gift for a newborn baby. I recommend that the management encourage the staff to be more respectful and kind to customers.

Very good productes and good priced only to busy its crazy.Its not nice do shopping like this.But overall this shop got good products!

So, für diese unicaten habe ich bezahlt nur 6,95€ für eine duft flasche, die waren beim action gegenüber She Glam Stativen. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem und ich glaube die riechen sehr elegant. Für 14 €, man kann nicht unzufrieden sein für so eine qualität.
Für 1,95 € habe ich gekauft auch eine super body sugar scrub in white&mint colour, auch von angebot bereich. Perfect für beine, ein sugar scrub für exfoliating body pores in holographic glitter box, looking&smelling very attractive dm guys, that I would eat it, also you David sorted perfect this time 👀👀

Im from Denmark and i wasnt allowed to get delevery to my country, but to make an account is no problem & to order but when it comes to delevery you can only order if you are from germany....

Customer service is bad... no one ever responds and if they do, they just tell you to call your local dm and stop bothering them. They should be fired.

Well known drugstore chain. Staff is always friendly, online orders are properly packed. If there was ever an issue, I was helped.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

I’m truly disappointed with DM’s handling of a very basic customer service case, which turned into a frustrating experience that reflects serious flaws in their supply chain and support structure (Final ticket number: INC8377215, then MSG33143975 and MSG33143954).

What began as a simple inquiry about the consistent unavailability of "Dein Bestes" products in my country turned into a runaround across countries. My request was passed from Germany to Austria and then to local representatives - none of whom seemed to take real ownership of the issue. After days of delay, I received a generic, dismissive response that provided no timeline, no resolution, and no accountability.

This kind of reply shows not only a lack of respect for loyal customers, but also an alarming incapability on DM’s part to manage its supply chain across European markets. A company of this size and reputation should be able to provide consistent availability of staple products - especially those directly related to pet care and animal well-being.

Instead, it seems like regional customers are treated as second-class - with no reliable logistics, no transparency, and no commitment to improvement. The response I received essentially told me to just keep waiting, with no guarantee that the products will ever return to shelves. That’s not customer care - it’s a clear sign of operational failure.

If DM cannot maintain product consistency or take responsibility across borders, perhaps it’s time they rethink their expansion or at the very least, their definition of service.

I love shopping ther it's cheap and neat. Everything makes sense and some workers are very nice the snacks are great and cleaning items. Great for vegans !

Very easy to finde the products you are looking for in the store. I am really very happy with the variety and quality of baby products. Also App coupons are very usefull. In some Stors there ist also there a place to change your kind in a hurry (with free diaper, baby wipes, etc available to test). Nice Idea DM !

The rating seems like an inacurate assessment.
Trustpilot should supervise a little.
I thought this was more about enviromental, sozio-economic and animal protection.

The issue is a hair colour product from dm-drogerie markt Deutschland.

I bought reell'e EXPERT Tonungs Shampoo, colour macadamia braun (brown).

It says it can be used for brown-dyed hair but not grey hair. Since mine is grey but already dyed brown, I thought it should be ok.

The packet shows dark brown hair on a girl. But when I opened it, the product is pitch black, not at all brown. Not only that but a bit that spilled on the white handbasin turned it almost green. It left a stain on the enamel which I could only get rid of after considerable scrubbing with Jif (cleanser) and a scourer.

dm replied saying there was no issue with the product.

I personally would never risk this product on my hair if it turns enamel green, can't be taken off without a strong cleaner and scourer and it is in reality pitch black, not brown as shown on the packet!

dm did not offer anything if I returned the product, so it will go in the bin, and I won't be using their products again.

In contrast, I found a problem with a Schwarzkopf product and they (now Henkel) offered an apology and another product to compensate - so I will use their products instead.

Dm never disappointed me, good products, good prices compare to müller and rossman. Quality is super. Retour works very fast that I‘m surprised.

Terrible store with awful owners. Worst store you can buy from. Avoid at all costs! (Not to mention the ridicilous quality)
