Claudia Boutique & Souvenir Shop - Malta

According to TrustPilot, upon setting up this review - a message popped up stating:

"We have removed a number of false reviews for this company. We will remove this review if found to be fake too".

The organisation in question does not have a website and so a "legitimate link" doesn't exist. Customers only have a Facebook link to offer for review of this organisation.

The organisation is in Malta and I intend to warn holiday-makers. The name and address of this little shop is as below.

Claudia Boutique & Souvenir Shop. Located in the Qawra area of St Paul's Bay on Triq il-Maskli.

Scams her shoppers.

Modus Operandi:

Effects distraction with dialogue.

"Let me take those to the front so you can shop empty-handed".

fake "card issue' errors.

Type of scam:

Get to checkout - extortionate charge not reflected on clothing labels.

Two clothing items omitted from the bag.

Red flags:

additional staff members stalking/hovering

Distraction tactics disguised as friendly conversation.

Insistence of "taking away items to help you shop"

Muscle on standby at checkout.

This back-street trick does not accept refund (listed only on receipt stuffed into the bottom of the bag) and so the shopper cannot challenge this behaviour.

I was missing two clothing items. The extortionate charge could be overlooked if it were not for the exploitative nature of what she perceives as the "foreigner she'll never see again".

Shoppers beware. Perhaps this review may holt this behaviour but shop at your own risk.

TristPilot, please, do not remove.

Just garbage

What an absolute garbage company and website. What on earth is the point in joining a group, having a profile pic so you can start posting on something your interested in for them to instantly delete the post straight afterwards. It was 4 words just trying to help somebody with a car problem on what it might be, but nope deleted. Closed the account down and wont use it again. Utter garbage. Well done Meta.

Facebook Marketplace Inserting Zelle Warnings Into Private Conversations Mentioning Zelle

I've sold online since 1999 with not a single chargeback from a customer in all that time.

I've sold on Facebook Marketplace since 2019. In the last quarter of 2019 I did over $1,500, with people traveling over 100 miles to buy items. One couple even diverted their vacation trip to pick up an item. By mid January 2020 the site was virtually dead due to Covid-19. It has never recovered for pickups.

I was able to make sales and ship them using shipping labels from PirateShip, charging the customer the actual commercial rate. I accepted payment for shipped orders via Zelle as this was the only safe method as it could not be reversed by scammers.

I do not use Facebook payments or labels as I not interested in giving away free items and shipping to scammers. A few days after shipping out another order I noticed another customer backing out of the sale. Upon reviewing the messages I see that Facebook has start inserting warnings into private conversations about sending payments via Zelle, thus sabotaging any orders.

Thats strange, perhaps Facebook could name a single customer in 27 years that has been ripped off. Not even worth posting items on Facebook Marketplace at this point.

17 years i was on fb

17 years i was on fb, from the day of "original poster" is something. And they banjed me for no reason. I cant use messenger to contact friends, i cant explain why ive vanished, i lost my groups, my business page. Everything. Its happened to a lot of people. A few months ago i had to varify myself, they said i was ok and my comments were fine. Now suddenly theyre not. I depended on fb for friends, local businesses and events. Now i feel isolated. As a disabled person, its hard to meet people generally. Now its gone

Wrongly banned for the marketplace

I got wrongly banned for the marketplace. Their detection and ban algo is deficient, and they are not willing to recognize it. Even after paying their stupid meta verified subscription to access a "real" customer service, they hide behind their stupid "rules" and do nothing. This company brings nothing to society, they deserve to be bankrupt.

Locked out of my own Business Page for weeks - Meta's AI support can't resolve a simple ID mismatch

I've been trying to regain admin access to my company's Facebook Page (Blue Oak Consulting) for over a month, and Meta's support has been a dead end.

The core issue: my Business Portfolio (ID ending in 830198) and its Page are orphaned - no active admin - even though I have IRS EIN documentation proving I own the business. Page ID ending in 802863 and Profile ID ending in 321963 are actually the same technical asset, but this ID mismatch caused my dispute case (ending in 389691) to be incorrectly declined as a "third-party" dispute. I'm not a third party - I'm already the verified admin of the Ad Account (ending in 724462) that's directly connected to this same Page ID.

I've submitted my ownership documents. I've filed a BBB complaint. Nothing. Meta's AI support loop keeps recycling the same generic responses without ever addressing the actual ID discrepancy that's blocking resolution.

For a company that runs so much of small business marketing infrastructure, there's no path to a human who can look at a specific case number and fix a data mismatch. If anyone from Meta's support team sees this: case ending in 389691, Business Portfolio ending in 830198, EIN docs already on file.

treated worst than a murderer

you are treated as a criminal if you make a mistake; your account is blocked forever (even murderers get to come out of jail), leaving you to battle with a pointles AI assistant that is stuck in a loop and can't even connect you to a human operator

Then and Now. Facebook is dying.

THEN: Facebook was about people you actually knew, holiday photos, new jobs, engagements, babies, birthdays, daft status updates and catching up with friends and family.

2016–2018: Then Facebook rewired the algorithm, and by January 2018 was prioritising “meaningful social interactions”; it turned out the most profitable “meaningful interactions” were the ones that made people angry, because outrage drives engagement, engagement sells adverts, and division became part of the business model.

NOW: My feed is packed with ragebait, clickbait, conspiracy cranks, AI slop and strangers I never chose to follow, while genuinely abusive comments somehow “don’t go against Community Standards” - Facebook stopped connecting people and started monetising outrage.

Facebook is dying.

Facebook is as bad as Craigslist

Facebook is as bad as Craigslist, finding reasons that don't exist to keep you from running a harmless room for rent ad. Facebook also has terrible results in any type of ad you run for your general business. ROAS is generally negative. Facebook has trolls that are allowed to say and do nearly anything, but god forbid you try to rent your room on their platform. FAKEBOOK is a constant waste of time and money.

App sucks

App sucks! I keep getting suspended for no reason. Woke up to being suspended and I literally was not even online yesterday due to it being my wife’s birthday! Becoming a hassle to verify id now because it use to accept and now it won’t. On top of that, I hate that there’s NO way to contact a human rep. Only AI. Won’t recommend to any friends & family and getting to a point I don’t want to use it. Yall keep taking away my access but it’s legit real scammers and fake profiles up there yall don’t even bother. I hate the platform now

This is how Facebook treats cancer patients

This is how Facebook treats cancer patients: they permanently disabled my account as soon as I opened it, before I had even set up my profile, for no reason, and without right of appeal. Myeloma (incurable cancer of the bone marrow) makes in-person socialising risky because it tanks your immune system. Social media can be a way of overcoming isolation and accessing networks and services. Arbitrary exclusion from platforms like Facebook and X is not just an inconvenience - it is a serious attack on vulnerable people and their quality of life.
