Overpriced, overrated, and poor food

Visited the branch in Tottenham Court Road. To start with the milkshake was really nice but a bit on the small side. If there are different sizes, the staff didn't make us aware. The price however was so expensive. £50 for a burger and chips for 2 is outrageous, even in central London. Way too expensive for fast food, and not good enough for a restaurant. The only way the ingredients can go anywhere near justifying the price is if they are cooked properly and with care. I found the burger was burnt on the outside and the chips weren't that good. Same story when a visited the Croydon branch years ago.
Very disappointing - next time I'll stick to Burger King or more McDonalds. Cheaper and better. And going for the slightly less cheap end Frankie and Benny's are so much better in every single way. If you charge more you have yo give more. And unless you can get the food cooked to perfection either way then you won't survive. Extremely disappointing experience.

Really bad quality Burger, worst ever.

Really bad quality Burger, wet and smashed like someone had sat on it or stamped on it.
The bottom of the bag had a huge hole in it soaking wet and the burger wasn't even wrapped properly in tin foil.
Phoned the Manager and he just kept repeating tell deliveroo! Worst five-guys Burger I've ever had from this Branch in Tottenham Court Road London will STOP buying from Five Guys now. Once the company knows it's a deliveroo order they take no responsibility for the food, even if they prepared it disgustingly.Over £12 for one burger, thrown in the bin.

Hi John, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're very sorry to hear about your experience at our Tottenham Court Road location.

We serve a 'smashed' patty at Five Guys; the meat is evened out on the grill to ensure maximum flavour.

As you placed the order through Deliveroo, you would need to contact them directly with this issue. You can do so by using the Help option on the Deliveroo app. Unfortunately, the managers in store cannot offer compensation - Five Guys does not hold your payment information due to GDPR. I went to the Tottenham Court Road branch in London on 7 April 2022. The food is mostly tasty but the staff are pretty appalling. They seem never to have heard of customer service. Be prepared to be served by ignorant people. It is also overpriced for what you get.

Rip off for mediocre takeaway food

Very unfriendly, unhelpful, completely disinterested staff member served me at the Tottenham Court Road, London branch last night.

My first time and was shocked at prices. £39.50 for cheeseburger and large fries and bacon burger with small fries plus two milkshakes. This is food served to you in paper bags as a takeaway!!

Absolute rip off!! How they justify £5 for mediocre chips no better than other fast foods and £5.50 for a milkshake is beyond me. I could have steak and chips for 2 in a very good chain restaurant nearby and spend just a bit more and that’s with food on a plate and being served at a table.

Also the burger bun was very soggy and meat overcooked. None of the food was that great.

Never again!! I’m surprised they are usually busy!
