Fjallraven’s sizing and quality is all over the place. Some of their items are awesome such as the Vidda Pro trousers and most of their G1000 only jackets. Some items have dropped in quality. The Keb... See more

Very poor service of Fjallraven in Australia
Absolutely appauling online service from Fjallraven in Australia! I travel a lot and shop a lot at Fjallraven only because I like the design of their clothes and there is nothing similar in our part of the world. Over the last few years, as Fjallraven switched more to online sales, their service became worse and worse. They have minimum stock in Sydney store, mostly hats and backpacks but worst exchange/refund rules on the market for the online sales in Australia. They NEVER reply to the emails and do not provide a contact phone number.

Fjaalraven anorak no. 8. The single worst piece of clothing I…
The single worst piece of clothing I have ever bought.
Anorak no 8. Hugely expensive. Advertised as suitable for all weather conditions. Rubbish.
No good in the cold as it is uninsulated and not much good on a sunny day but it when it starts to rain that you really discover how appaling it is. The merest light shower soaks straight through it and you are immediately wet.
“Use our Greenland wax to make it more water resistant.” They say. Funny that a water resistant jacket should need additional waterproofing but let’s see if it works. Not a bit of it. Two treatments and my new jacket looked like an old cow hide but one 5 minute cycle ride in a light shower and I was drenched. I’ve since used silicone based treatments and when they didn’t work I tried boot polish! Nothing works on their fancy G-1000 fabric. If you wear this jacket in the rain you are going to get wet, really wet.
“So what’s this shabby piece of clothing for?” You may ask. Two things: showing off to your friends that you have money to burn on Scandi clothing and blackberry picking. It’s ok at keeping our prickles. Problem is that wearing it makes you feel like a profligate prick.
I’ve never owed a piece of clothing that makes me angry before but there’s a first time for everything I suppose.
Their excuse, which you will see below is that the anorak is only intended to be water resistant to light showers. It isn't. Even the lightest of showers will immediately penetrate.
They also suggest that the Greenland Wax needs to be melted into the fabric. I used and entire tub of their greenland wax, giving the anorak two full coats. In doing so I heated the jacket all over with a heat gun on medium setting, ensuring that the wax fully penetrated. The result was that my once-new anorak was now darker in colour than when originally purchased and was as stiff as a board. But it is still incapable of resisting even the lightest shower. Well, maybe not true. It resists water much like a light cotton shirt might do. The G-1000 fabric is simply too thin for repeat applications of wax to have any impact.
In their reply they advise that I contact customer support. I have already done so. The rep I spoke to admitted that though he has an anorak No 8 he never wears it in the rain. No apology, no contrition, no refund.
Their website shows their G-1000 fabric with pretty little droplets of water on it. This clearly suggests it is waterproof. They know otherwise. Do not trust this company and its over hyped products.

Fjällräven made it right replacing a poor quality backpacks, stiff and discoloured
I bought a Fjällräven 16 L black backpack that was delivered battered, discoloured and so stiff that I couldn’t close or open the zipper. When I complained to their head office’s customer service, they said that nothing can be done because it is as due to standard wear. This backpack was never used so it was a bizarre excuse. After I wrote this review giving the company one star, I received a very positive reply on Trustpilot from Fjällräven asking me to resubmit my request. I did and Mike Lang from Fjällräven was so wonderful!! I returned the backpack directly to the company and it was replaced. The new backpack is perfect. Thank you very much Mike and Fjällräven for making it right! I really appreciate your positive follow through and your very kind approach. This company deserves 5 stars +.

Scam company - do NOT buy here!!!
I ordered the Abisko Värm tracking tights at February 5th. Paid € 190 for something that I will not receive anytime soon. Absolutely no confidence that delivery will take place at all. The shipment is announced on February 9th. Since than no action. DHL gets the blame but Fjällräven is responsible and my order is still in their warehouse. Total scamm this company. Already practiced my right of withdrawel. But still they blame DHL. What FR does not send, DHL cannot deliver and what is not delivered to me I cannot send back in order te get my money back. So I guess its bye bye € 190. But this is not the end of it. I will have to make contact with my creditcard company to get my money back. Shame on you Fjällräven. Wish I had read all these negative reviews before buying here.

FJALLARAVEN NUUK Parka - ZIP QUALITY
I purchased a NUUK Parka (via Varuste.net).
The zip mechanism is an absolute nightmare and it can take 5 minutes wiggling it around to get it to work.
Once it is on, it is very warm and waterproof, but it should not be so difficult!!
I would have sent it back, but Varuste.net say that all shipping costs outside of Finland are down to buyer.
So overall, I would not recommend it.
17/02 - received the response below and have sent a request to customer service for replacement zip/mechanism).

Bad quality/No customer service
I bought a pair of Vidda Pro trousers and one of the seam split in half after a few times wearing them. Plus, the pants went from black to brown. They discoloured real bad. I sent them multiple emails but they do not answer. I have bought multiple items from them but I wont buy anything from this company no more. At 210$ a pair of trousers … the pants should last at least a year and a half…
Bad fabric and non existent customer service…

My son got the Kanken mini for my wife…
My son got the Kanken mini for my wife at Christmas, today the stitching has come apart at the D ring on one of the shoulder straps. Taken back to our local shop (who were very helpful) we were told that they couldn’t do anything but get in touch with their brand office. Now we are told it will have to go away for repairs? Absolutely disgraceful customer service from what is supposed to be a reliable brand.
I’m still annoyed about how this matter was delt with by the company, but must say the lady in the shop and the lady who spoke to my wife from customer care were very helpful. The issue has now been resolved and they are replacing the bag.

The logo patch on the shoulder of my…
The logo patch on the shoulder of my greenalnd winter jacket is torn. I contacted Fjallraven for a spare. They said they don't have any spare logo so I need to send my jacket for repair and pay out of my own pocket. Weird, just let me buy the logo. I will just sew Patagonia or Columbia logo on my jacket I guess....

Sörmland Tapered Winter Trousers M Long
Sörmland Tapered Winter Trousers M Long
Dark Grey
30-31" UK
In my experience I can say that these quite expensive winter trousers are not suitable for use in rainy conditions in the UK. After only twenty minutes (an aborted dog walk) in rain/sleety conditions today wearing my new trousers, my legs were soaked to my merino underwear leaving me wet and cold! In conclusion I would think they may be okay in dry weather but in the rain no better than a pair of jeans.
If you want to stay dry - do not buy.

I bought Skogso padded jacket
I bought Skogso padded jacket. It's my third winter, moderate use during three winter months only and has worn look with small holes on the cuffs. Plus insulation leakage through g1000 and now started unzip itself. Paid about 350 euro and I'm disappointed. It's a great jacket though, very warm and comfortable, but not durable at all. My Vidda Pro pants have almost the same wear marks after one year. Sadly, but Fjallraven's quality is getting worse and worse.

Horrible quality! Do not buy!
We bought two "Tre-Kånken" Fjellreven backpacks on May 6, 2025. Both backpacks have started to peel off the rain protection coating, one of them much more than the other, but it has started to peel off in the same way and you can see through the backpack in these places. When we buy a backpack, we expect it to last a little longer than just six to seven months of use before it shows signs of such drastic wear. This does not seem to justify the price they charge for these bags. This is a problem that has been going on for many years, based on reviews and others with the exact same defect on the bags, where people are returning them three to four times with the exact same problem. This is too stupid! Instead of selling customers defective products, Fjellreven should improve their products and not bother customers with products that are not quality assured or that have been tested or can withstand normal use.
I WILL NEVER PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND FJELLREVEN EVER AGAIN.

What happened?
I live in Sweden, and Fjällräven used to be synonymous with quality. You paid thousands of kronor for a product that was expected to last at least ten years — and many of the older ones easily went 20–40. You bought a jacket for life. But something has changed, and it’s changed drastically.
I own over a dozen Fjällräven garments. The older pieces have held up fantastically: several survived five full winter seasons, and one jacket has lasted ten. But the trousers I bought last year only made it through a single season. They fit well, but the quality is nowhere near what it once was.
When I pay a premium price, it’s for craftsmanship and durability — not branding. Fjällräven is not a fashion label. It’s supposed to be functional gear. People buy it for performance, not for showing off a logo.
And here’s the thing: even your financial results reflect this decline. You’re losing momentum because you deliver a weaker product at a higher price — and it shows in your numbers. If you erode the trust that made you great, customers will walk away.
I don’t know what happened over the last decade, but the difference is obvious. Thankfully, there are still Swedish competitors who stay true to their roots, no matter who sits in the boardroom. My money and loyalty are going to Lundhags instead.

Customer Services - no stars
Jacket didn't fit me and they're definitely making them cheaper and flimsier than they used to be... often the case with many clothes companies these days. Anyhow that is nothing compared to their Customer Services.
I wanted to return jacket to get refund.
They assume everybody has a printer for the return label. I don't... so they sent me return label by post (no QR codes used by Fjallraven). For some reason they only use UPS and the nearest drop off point. Mine was 7 miles away in Brighton! I went to local post office and paid just under £7 for it to be sent back by Royal Mail (next day delivery to their depot in Hampshire). Royal Mail tried to deliver the item on two occasions and both times nobody answered the door! When I complained to Customer Services (they're in Sweden btw) I was told I would have to wait until the jacket finally gets returned to me (if it doesn't I'm over £270 out of pocket) and then I need to send it again (back to the same address.. !) to get my refund. Why would I want to send something back when nobody answers the door?? Unbelievably bad! I would never buy anything off this Company again. They simply don't care. I'd give them zero stars if I could.
