Food Lion does not live up to their commitment. I've heard advertisements their logo is "Fast, Fresh and Affordable" and advertisements they are "Easy, Fresh, and Affordable". Neither is true. I hate shopping my local Food Lion. It is always out of stock on key produce, the produce they do have is low quality and about to expire (or has expired), everything is way overpriced than competitors and they are very slow - both in re-supply and in check out. They are always understaffed and half the checkout lines are closed. They do not offer self check out, therefore even if you only have a few items you have to wait a long time. Restocking is painfully slow and if you have specialty needs such as gluten-free forget it, the selection is scarce. My food Lion used to at least stock GF noodles but they recently discontinued all of them. I asked the assistant manager why he said "I don't know, we sold a lot of them before, it doesn't make sense, I'm sorry". We do not have many grocery options in my town. I think that is the only reason Food Lion exists - is because they locate themselves in areas where there is not much competition and people do not really have a choice to obtain a better product.

I was in a hurry today so I grabbed some hamburger and a steak. When I got home I decided to read the label, the label was so small, I couldn’t read it with a magnifying glass. I f you don’t want me to know what’s in your food, I can’t support you. I will return the meat and find a local butcher. Goodbye Food Lion

Why is the Food Lion in Poquoson always so hot in there? The poor workers seem so hot & miserable. Having to fan themselves to keep cool. I feel so bad for them! Please fix this problem soon!

I purchased Food Lion shrimp ring with cocktail sauce that states on the package 41-50 shrimp per pound. I received exactly 31 shrimp. This is false advertisement. I took pictures because I’m sure they wouldn’t believe me. I know when your purchase per pound it would be an estimate but way off based on what’s printed on the container. I have to purchase another pack or add a different meat to my dinner to make sure I have enough for the family b

I ordered 2 bags of sweet cherries. Sweet cherry is written on the bag. The cherry I got was not sweet and one bag was open. I ordered a seedless watermelon. The watermelon has seeds and is very ripe. Too ripe.

Rotisserie chicken is ALWAYS OVERCOOKED! It should be golden brown an juicy. Yours is ALWAYS dark brown/black n dry. I'll c if changes have been made in a couple of months. If not, I'll stay with Walmart (that's right...properly cooked) n Publix

If your not early your already late so the store on Independence and shore Dr definitely need to learn concept. Why should a customer stand at locked door as employees slowly stroll in then I was told it would be few minutes before registers worked smh 7am open time means READY for business at 7am which means a lot when customer has place to be on time as well 😔next time I go a little further down the road to Kroger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am.so done with food lion, if it's not the price issues then it's bad meat, we'll now it's even canned foods that are bad, so done with them now I can't afford to shop where just about everything i buy is bad. How is it that they have so much bad food???

Tons of items a dozen self check out registers I’m in and out quick and big selections. MVP press helps too. I love the delivery option or a curbside pick up. Do it all the time on my way home from work they’re hot bar in the deli is amazing.

Our local FL is remodeling. Their weekly ad is a joke. They have NO deli meat, the aisles are jammed packed with boxes and carts and crap all over. Why cant all the remodeling be done overnight? Food prices are so expensive for some people so they rely on the ad to tell them the specials. I highly doubt this remodel will enhance anyone's shopping experience. I for one will buy all my groceries from Aldi and Lidl. Ridiculous.

This Food Lion has so many issues. The one in Christiansburg is leagues better. Over the years I have seen produce workers drop raw produce on the floor and put it back out for sale. The employees smoke right in front of the doors so that smoke constantly drifts into the building from the front and back of the store which presents an accessibility issue to those of us with respiratory ailments. Today I had the rudest cashier who was too busy gossiping with her friend about some customer that she said would be shopping elsewhere now to avoid her. Every time she talked to this friend at her register, her hands would stop scanning items. She had absolutely no concern that she was holding up her own line of 4 people waiting which included me. The 3 behind me finally gave up and went to other lines. I waited more than 15 minutes while she had scanned maybe 6 items. I finally spoke up and just said maybe she could talk with her friend when she didn't have work to do and that she was going incredibly slow. She gave me a dirty look then put a disturbing exaggerated smile on and said "THANK you, I APRECIATE it" with sarcasm dripping from her voice. I don't complain about things unless they're egregious. The times I have complained about these things both at store level and to corporate, absolutely nothing changed. I still saw produce that hit the floor everyone's shoes touch with goodness knows what on them be put back on the shelf. The smokers outside the doors continue. And I doubt this horrible cashier will see any real consequence for her rudeness. When I lived in Maryland, Food Lion had a meat bleaching scandal and there are still almost no Food Lions in Maryland. People don't trust them still there. I only have used my local one because it's conveniently nearby, but no longer. I am done with Food Lion. They really don't care about their customers or their quality of service. I haven't even complained about some of the little things like, putting good mushrooms on top of bad where you can't see that the ones underneath are starting to rot. And faking sandwiches in the deli to look like they have filling when it's only just a line pushed into one side of the breat to make it look that way in the package.

They are always nice and willing to help you find products you are looking for. Always friendly and greet me by my name.

On a scale of 1-10 it was a ZERO. I often use this store at 2245 F Ashley Crossing, Charleston, SC 29414 because it is in my neighborhood. I do not often use the drive up pickup because it is generally very slow. Today, Tuesday, May 26, 2026 I scheduled a grocery pickup for 11:00am. I was sent confirmation that my order was ready. I pulled into spot #2, on my phone indicated I had arrived approximately 11:10am and waited until 11:35am and no one came out with my order. At 11:30am I called the number on the sign - and pressed #1 - no one answered. I waited another 5 minutes with no one coming to the car but observed 2 Food Lion employees - standing outside the doors on a smoke break. I was in Food Lion today. I used the self checkout because there's hardly ever any registers open. After checking out, I preceded to head toward the exit, when the wheels on the shopping cart locked up, causing meet to hit my leg on the cart. I could understand that happening if I were leaving the parking lot with it, but I was still in store. There was no apology from store personnel. It was an embarrassing situation. I should have followed my mind and shopped at a different grocery store.

I believe the Erwin store needs new management. I witnessed a male manage spitting chew near a customer right outside the doors. She said something to him. I didnt hear what she said, but he called her a bad name after she went into the store. I have also seen him be verbally abusive to employees inside the store.

I received a free sample of Stubbs bbq sauce and it was amazing. Best bbq sauce I have had in a long time. I highly recommend getting it to try if you like bbq sauce.

Food Lion delivery sucks! I can NOT choose from which store to get a delivery from like they claim. They automatically select the store. I don't shop at the selected location because I NEVER get a complete order. You should be able to have a set location on your profile like before for delivery/pickup. It does no good to order delivery if you end up having to go to a different location to pick up what crappy locations are out of. I'm starting to hate Food Lion more than Walmart!!

Food Lion in Georgetown, South Carolina makes the BEST Banana pudding. Without the banana. (I don't like bananas) Awesome job with the extra cookies on the top an bottom. Who ever made please give them a raise. I buy either everyday or every other day. The biggest container they have. Please keep up with the fantastic work!!!

The 2nd time ordering home delivery after having hip surgery they canceled my order two hours later for no reason. Then calling customer service hanging up on me three times is freaking sad!! Food lion is no better than walmart!!!
