Google is run by AI developers in India to steal your money!

My 8-year-old's autistic nephew spent over $500 on a game I did not authorize in a period of two weeks. AI keeps telling me I can't do anything about it. So now I can't pay my rent this month. Of course there no actual people that work in customer service to speak to either. I have deleted everything I can without messing my phone up. Currently looking into deleting Google play. My son is talking about getting me an iPhone so I don't have to deal with Google anymore.

They are a joke

Every month I am getting spammed with text messages from these people. And they all say the exact same thing. I tried to contact the support team and they are denying they are sending them. It clearly has their name at the top of the messages. And they are refusing to stop sending them. Saying they're not coming from them. When clearly they are. Every app or any service you have to pay for goes through Google play. Which is ridiculous when they don't care about customers. I need them to stop sending me these spam messages but they are refusing to stop. What am I supposed to do with this. Who do I complain to. I'm not getting any answers from them. Their customer service is a joke. Telling me they're not sending the messages when clearly they are.

Lots of technical issues

Google Play is relied on by literally millions of people, but it is riddled with technical issues and glitches. Try to contact support and their attitude is its YOUR problem, Google is perfect and cannot be in error. This is why, as much as I hate them, Apple is always number one. Sad but true

Sling Tv thru Google Play

I ordered a TV service thru Google Play. It never went thru. I first called Sling, they were no help. Then I disputed the $48.75 charge thru Chime. They denied the charge. I went lastly to Google Play. They were going to refund the charge until I said Chime denied it. They said they couldn't help. $48.75 is a lot of money in these trying times. I filed with the Pa Attorney Generals Office. Prayerfully I will receive my money back,or stop them from harming another consumer.

Be warned playing up again

Be warned playing up again. Make sure you have no banks details etc on here. Only ripping us off. Stopped playing games weeks ago now as only making money off you and not even rewarding you for your efforts. Im voting to get rid of technology. Only leads to crime anyway!

I paid for a one-year premium…

I paid for a one-year premium subscription on December 6, 2025, using the payment method ending in #76800. However, the subscription was canceled on January 6, 2026. I contacted X for assistance, but they informed me that the subscription was through Google Play and advised me to reach out to them instead. I emailed Google Play, but they have not provided any help. Today, I subscribed to a new premium service through another provider. I am requesting a full refund for the cancelled subscription.

I’ve bought a £100 gift card which I cannot redeem due to inconsistencies on my account whatever that means. I’ve been through the same process 5 times with Google and nothing as if it’s nothing to do with them! I have referred this to the CFPB in the United States but they just referred it back to Google. This happens a little with Googleplay gift cards according to reviews. Absolutely disgusting for a company to treat their customers. SHAME IN YOU GOOGLE!

They tell you to put authentication on but there's a little box and it is off after you put authentication on so they can still charge you

I accidentally my cat stepped on my phone and I got charged for Monopoly go tokens it was a 59.99 charge that I didn't need. I immediately let them know about it and told him I wanted a refund they tell you got to wait two days ridiculous to even find out if they're going to give it to you at the meantime I have the tokens and I still want to play my game cuz I'm playing with other people and I don't want to let them down it's part of the game so when I get the first time I did this I got my my money refunded and they told me to put my authentication on which I did little did I know after I turned it on and left the thing on when I got charged for this I couldn't understand because I never used my finger or my password the next thing I knew is I'm trying to figure out how this could happen I've called my bank to dispute the charge because I know I didn't do it so I finally go back in and keep looking at my authentication to make sure it's still on it is but there's a little box below it on the left side and I didn't even see it before and it's got it off it literally has it off can you imagine turning a toggle on for something to be on and they have it off in another box how deceptive how fraudulent can that be I have contacted attorneys and I still might try to find a law firm to go after them for this in the little box it says always off and every 30 minutes why would anybody when authentication off if they wanted it on why would anybody want it for only 30 minutes why is that box there this is fraud

The World's Most Enthusiastic Vending Machine for Lies

Rating: ⭐️ (1/5 Stars - because zero stars is sadly not an option)
This isn't a digital storefront; it's a museum dedicated to false advertising, curated by an algorithm that apparently prefers making money over basic user sanity.
I downloaded a game that promised me a complex strategy RPG where I'd command an army of elemental dragons to save the world. The advert featured movie-quality CGI, epic voiceovers, and gameplay footage that clearly belonged to a $60 console game.
The actual app? It was a Match-3 puzzle where I match sentient avocados to unlock a new "Hero" (which is just a JPEG with a slightly different hat). I have matched 5,000 avocados. My army of elemental dragons is a dream I had once.
Google Play, you are the only major platform that seems to believe "fake gameplay footage" is a fun new feature. Every other store would have banned this nonsense faster than I can fail a pin-pulling puzzle. But not you! You just nod, collect your cut, and ask, "Anything else I can get for the company that is actively scamming your users?"
It's clear your priority list is:
Developer Profits
More Developer Profits
My New Avocado-Matching Addiction (See point 1)
User Experience (Maybe a light dusting of this one day)
You’ve stopped being a gatekeeper and started being a welcoming doorman for con artists. 🚪💸

Vouchers dont work

Vouchers dont work. They ask you to complete a form with more info including name of shop and receipt.

If this is a gift them this information is not available.

Far too much hassle for what's it's worth. Leave well alone.

I paid £30 cash for a google play voucher. Got it home and entered the voucher number in to good play and it refused to let me redeem the voucher and asked for proof of purchase (treating me like a criminal basically) I provided a copy of my receipt via photo upload and 18 hours later still no credit that I paid for. I will be initiating legal proceedings shortly as this is a unfair term they added after the sale which is unlawful

As an independent game developer

As an independent game developer, the process to publish on Google Play is appalling.

They have rejected my request twice now with absolutely no feedback and just expect you to figure it out totally in the dark.

Every testing period is 14 days so they have now pushed me back a whole month.
