**I consider this a scam: they advertise CPM but sent my traffic exclusively to CPA campaigns**

My experience with HilltopAds has been extremely negative. I sent traffic expecting to monetize it through CPM, which is how they publicly promote their service. However, after seeing thousands of impressions produce practically no revenue, their support team eventually confirmed that my traffic would not be transferred to the CPM feed and would only receive CPA campaigns.

This means that, although the dashboard displays an eCPM, I could earn nothing from the impressions and would only be paid if a conversion occurred. Whenever a conversion appeared, the eCPM suddenly increased, making it even more obvious how the link was actually being monetized.

I consider this misleading and, in my opinion, a scam. They should clearly disclose in advance that traffic from certain sources will be monetized exclusively through CPA campaigns. If I had wanted to work only with CPA campaigns, I would have used a dedicated CPA platform that pays better for conversions.

I cannot recommend HilltopAds unless they become transparent about the actual payment model being applied to each link and traffic source.

I've used this company for the past few months to monetize several blogs and websites as an alternative to AdSense, and I'm happy with the results. They offer different ad formats, the ads are clean, with no redirects or malware, and they assign an account manager when you register as a publisher to help answer any questions. Overall, a good experience.

It really make a huge traffic to your affiliate marketing. If you looking an affiliate marketing this is one of the most suitable for you.

I tried out HilltopAds as I read some good reviews. I should have read some of the bad reviews too. I put ads on the site and the 1st day went ok. I wasn't 100% happy with the quality of ads though as some were just a picture of an anime girl or similar. I can't see anyone clicking on those ads.

Then on day two, I visited my site and there was a permanent redirect to AliExpress. The HilltopAds javascript obviously set a redirect, I tried it on a 2nd browser and it did the same thing. The only way I could view my site again was to clear all cache, cookies, etc. from my browser. I have no idea how many people tried to visit my site and now never can because of the permanent redirect in their browser to AliExpress. I immediately took down the adverts and changed to another provider.

The other thing was my returns on a click was $0.0007 to $0.0008. I get at least $0.01 per click using another popular Ads... company.

Another, where do I start moment? I started using hilltop due to their low traffic requirements and supposedly decent support due to their dedicated managers.

The setup was a nightmare and once I finally got it working, I was immediately concerned by the ads it was putting on my site. They were all very intentionally misleading, some just a big "download here" button, a dancing woman with breasts, the list goes on.

Being concerned for my brand's reputation, I reached out to the manager on whatsapp. Nothing. Not a single reply. I reached out on the 28/07/2026 and still nothing

We've immediately pulled all ads from our site, there's no apparent way to control the type of ads and the lack of any support or accountability means we do not want to work with them, ever

Donot trust any of those full rated reviews . its all just a big scam , the cpm is low like 0.1 even for tier 1 traffic . I cant believe i had to wait to withdraw all of my money they still keep some percentage of money wont let you cash out all of them. The banner ads hijacks and acts like popup ads.

We tested HilltopAds for Telegram channel promotion and, unfortunately, we are deeply disappointed with the results so far.

Our use case was not a broad casino bonus offer or a simple mass-market landing page. We tested two Telegram channels: one international English-language channel focused on sports betting analysis, value betting, statistics and picks, and one Hungarian sports channel focused on sports news, tips and football-related content.

Over several days, we tried multiple different campaign setups and 4-5 different advertising approaches. We tested direct traffic to the Telegram channels, traffic through our own HTML landing page, Popunder, Banner and In-page formats. We also tested multiple GEOs across Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, and gradually increased the bid/rate to improve delivery.

The main problem was that almost nothing worked properly for our case. Popunder was able to generate impressions, but the quality was not suitable and it produced almost no meaningful subscriber result. The formats that seemed more relevant for our funnel, such as In-page and Banner, barely received any delivery at all, even after increasing the rates.

This was especially disappointing because on other similar advertising platforms we were able to see much more activity, delivery and movement with comparable types of campaigns. On HilltopAds, however, after several tests, multiple campaign types, different GEOs and two different Telegram channels, the result was still almost nothing.

After around 17,000+ impressions and several campaign variations, we received only 1 Telegram subscriber. For Telegram channel promotion, this is not a usable result for us.

We contacted our account manager on Friday with specific questions about our setup, including suitable GEOs, recommended bids, keyword targeting, whitelist zones and the best ad format for sports betting / sports analysis Telegram traffic. Unfortunately, by Monday morning we still had not received a response. This was disappointing, especially because we were trying to avoid spending the remaining balance inefficiently.

To be fair, this may not mean HilltopAds is bad for every advertiser. It may work better for broader offers, simpler conversion flows, or other verticals. But for our specific case, Telegram channels related to sports betting analysis, sports news and betting-related content, the platform did not perform well at all.

At this point, I would strongly recommend that advertisers with niche Telegram communities ask for a very specific setup before spending meaningful budget. In our experience, simply creating campaigns and testing multiple formats, GEOs and bids was not enough to get usable results.

We are still waiting to see whether the support team can provide a useful explanation, a working setup, or a satisfactory solution. If they do, I will update this review.

P.S. One of the most frustrating parts is that the delivery is so low that we cannot even properly spend the remaining balance. We still have around 80 USD left in the account, but there is not enough meaningful traffic, impressions or clicks on the campaign types that would actually make sense for our case. So the issue is not only poor conversion performance, but also the lack of usable delivery for our setup.

I switched my website to HilltopAds after reading many positive reviews and expecting one of the best Popunder monetization networks in the industry.

Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.

My website receives HIGH-QUALITY ORGANIC TRAFFIC from Google Search, not incentivized traffic, not social traffic, and not bot traffic. Despite this, HilltopAds has been paying me an average CPM of only around $0.28 per 1,000 impressions.

This is by far the lowest CPM I have ever seen from a Popunder network.

Using the same website, the same GEOs, and the same organic traffic, I was earning significantly more with another network before moving to HilltopAds.

What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I keep seeing the exact same landing page over and over again, which makes it appear that advertiser demand is extremely limited or that my traffic is not being matched with competitive campaigns.

I contacted both my account manager and support asking for a manual review and optimization, but instead of receiving a real investigation, I was simply told that optimization is "automatic."

If your website relies on quality organic search traffic, my personal experience has been extremely disappointing. A CPM of around $0.28 for Google organic traffic is simply not competitive in today's market.

I genuinely hope HilltopAds improves its publisher optimization, advertiser inventory, and support because, based on my experience, the monetization has been far below expectations.

The traffic quality is top notch and also the set up is very simple. Hilltopads gives one the best quality traffic out there and I will like to recommend.

I love it easy and a lot of payout review, I get like 4 to 5 bucks a day with around 2000 users on my website, but sometimes i get 7 bucks randomly. so it depends i guess?

Great ad company especially for small websites with moderate traffic. Made 50 dollars quicker than any other ad service I have used so far. I highly recommend this ad company to both web publishers and advertisers.
