My husband purchased his wedding suit…

My husband purchased his wedding suit here for $1,600, and unfortunately, it ripped on our wedding day. For a suit at that price point, we were extremely disappointed with the quality.

We brought it back to see if the rip could be repaired, and the employee told us the repair would be free. However, we ended up being charged anyway, which was frustrating given the price we had already paid for the suit and the circumstances.

On top of that, after leaving the suit for over a month, we never received an email letting us know it was ready for pickup. We had to follow up ourselves.

Overall, the quality and customer service were disappointing, especially for such an expensive purchase. My husband has had dress pants from RW&CO for years, and they’re still in perfect condition. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend checking out RW&CO instead!

Wedding Suit Experience

The setup experience for getting my wedding suit went well, but it all went bad after i received it. I was told I would get an included fitting after receiving my suit, but the store in which i worked with closed (without any notice to customers), so I was offered a $75 tailoring credit elsewhere (which costed ~$200). The reimbursement form never worked and it took support multiple weeks to get back to me for my $75 credit.

Suit pants and vest was way off

Suit pants and vest was way off. It was a huge regret. My measurements were accurate. Not true tailoring. Worst fitting suit I’ve ever had and it was supposed to be bespoke. Lol

Incompetent in-store tailor

Went in store to get tailor measurements waited 3 weeks for my made to measure suit. I think I would be better measuring myself. Pants were baggy, jacket was tight in the chest loose in the shoulders. Material looks synthetic and cheap, machine thrown together trash suits. Not worth it, I'll be giving mine to Goodwill since no return policy and too bad to tailor.

I had a pretty mixed experience with…

I had a pretty mixed experience with Indochino. The ordering and measurement process was straightforward, and the materials and overall appearance of the suit were what I ordered. I purchased a two-piece suit and a shirt.

I used the self-measuring option, as there isn't an Indochino storefront near me. The process itself was well done, with easy-to-follow instructions and helpful videos to make sure you're measuring correctly. The shirt I ordered arrived essentially perfectly sized. I did eventually have a local tailor add some small darts, but I would have happily worn it as-is if I wasn't already having the rest of the suit tailored. Given how well the shirt fit, I have a hard time believing that my measurements were significantly off.

Unfortunately, the jacket and pants were a completely different story. The initial fit was incredibly disappointing for a made-to-measure suit. The jacket was noticeably too long and quite large through the body, while the pants sat awkwardly and required significant adjustment. Overall, the suit I initially received wasn't close to something I would have considered wearable without substantial alterations. The proportions and fit also looked very different from how the suit was presented on the model on Indochino's website.

I ultimately took the suit to a local tailor, who did a great job improving the fit. I'm reasonably happy with the final result, but it took additional time and money to get there.

I also missed Indochino's 14-day tailoring/fit guarantee window, which is on me, so I don't fault them for sticking to that policy. That said, I think the overall experience is still worth mentioning. I paid made-to-measure prices expecting the initial fit to be considerably closer than it was. After outside tailoring, the suit looks good, but the end result feels more like a decent off-the-rack suit that was professionally altered than the made-to-measure experience I expected.

There were things I liked. The fabric, the ability to customize certain aspects of the suit, and the shirt from the same order all turned out well. Unfortunately, the poor initial fit of the suit and the amount of additional tailoring it required outweighed those positives for me. I won't be purchasing another suit from Indochino, and based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering a suit from them.

INDOCHINO suit is horrible mismeasured

Bought an INDOCHINO suit. It arrived with the Jacket ok, but the pants grossly diseased by 2.5” in the waist and 3” in the legs. Nordstrom (where Indichino is sold through) is blaming INDOCHINO and says they are
Moving out of the stores. INDOCHINO, including Drew Green their CEO is unresponsive. Wedding in two weeks.

Awful experience, fashion grifters

Indochino doesn't know what a human body is shaped like and their business model would be better off if they let you fit yourself, let me explain.

Most of the guys in the wedding party I went in with are clueless when it comes to formal wear, which is probably how this place got chosen. Our visit started with picking suit style, shirt, colors, tie, fit, etc, most everything that can be customized, which was nice. It was odd when they encouraged us to leave the stitching visible, because they are made-to-measure and sent to be quickly produced in China. Like BROTHER, leave the stitching visible if YOU are doing the stitching. The quality is basically a mass produced suit for double the price, except there are more things that can go wrong with measurements. The idea of leaving visible stitching as a "tailor's mark" is crazy if the tailor isn't involved in the entire process. Fabric quality is like a Macy's 60% off suit. Now for sizing.

I'm in my mid-20s and all the staff was in their mid-20s, but I believe it's safe to say a red flag goes off when no one in the store has at least intermediate career experience tailoring custom suits. They are either inexperienced or really want all their customers to be short twinks. Starting at shoulders, I was not listened to when I kept insisting on getting wider shoulders. I got the suit and it looks ridiculous! The shoulder seams are 1.5 inches too narrow on either side! It looks like I stole the suit from someone. The worst employee at Men's Warehouse could find an off-the-rack that fits better. For the chest, because the shoulders are so narrow, fabric arches out and up to make it look like I'm hiding absolute cannons when buttoned. The waist is fine. The length is too short which is odd because I recall showing my "tailor" the size trick every guy knows where you cup the jacket in your hand with your arms strait down. Sleeve length is compromised again due to shoulders.

The pants are ridiculous. No other way to say it, my junk is visibly pushed to the side by the front rise. Yet somehow the inseam is too short to touch my dress shoes! WHOSE LEGS DID I MISTAKENLY WALK IN WITH CUS YOU DIDN'T MEASURE MINE! These feel like prank pants you give to the groom and then swap out at the last minute before he walks down the aisle. There is nothing to exclaim about the material of the jacket or pants.

Now I shall try to get this mess re-sized.

1 star

1 star — Based on my experience, one of the worst customer-service experiences I have ever had.

I went into the store only to have my measurements taken and made it clear that I would decide later whether to place an order. Despite this, I felt pressured into completing a purchase immediately.

I was also eligible for a 20% first-purchase discount, and I have emails confirming my eligibility. The salesperson told me they would locate and apply the discount, but when I checked my receipt later that evening, I discovered that it had not been included.

I emailed Indochino immediately—only three hours after leaving the store—to request that the issue be corrected and the order canceled. I have received no response. They did get the email as there is a case number.

Trying to contact customer service is nearly impossible. Either no representative is available and the call disconnects automatically, or I am placed on hold until the call also disconnects. This happened repeatedly over the last two days. There appears to be no reliable way to speak with anyone or resolve an urgent issue.

I feel misled, overcharged, and completely ignored. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding Indochino. Run away and spend your money somewhere that actually respects its customers.

Overall - a good experience

I don't love dressing up, but I'm at the stage in live where I needed a suit. The staff were top notch and made the experience better than I had hoped. They helped me make choices about elements of suits that I hadn't even considered. I'm happy with the end result.

Efficient, high workmanship, low post-customer service

The fitting and selection process was streamlined, educational and efficient. Didn't realize it was to be a Chinese made product. Kinda tried of companies using them as way to cut costs and just to increase their bottom line.

Fit and finish appears up to high standards, though.
Wait for product receipt was as promised.

Continually getting emails pushing new sales but not one from salesman/fitter asking if everything was OK.
Emails say the bigger story.

Based on this experience

Based on this experience, I would strongly caution anyone planning to order suits for a wedding. Be prepared for disappointment, as Indochino appears to struggle with coordinating and supporting group wedding orders effectively.
Three times sent my pants to China for size correction. It is waste of money.

They are a SCAM

They are a SCAM. Do not purchase from them. The suits advertised are not what is ultimately delivered. Quality and colors differ significantly from website. I ordered an ivory suit for my wedding and they sent a tan suit! And then they hide behind their terms and conditions and will not fix.

DO NOT BUY A SUIT HERE

DO NOT BUY A SUIT HERE! The quality is not good and the jacket came in too big. The sales person was incompetent and did not include the vest we requested and got measured for so it never arrived and they could not guarantee we would receive it in time. The manager was completely rude and unprofessional!!!

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCTS

I'm not a first time customer, but this will stop immediately. I get measured @ the Tysons Galleria, VA and the suits, and the pants (different order) are wrong. They attempted to fix them, but it did not work. The waist was big, and after the alterations, the back pockets on the pants were off. Suit jacket needed alterations as well. Before I received this order, I placed another order (2 pants), and somehow they can't seem to find the order, even when I provide them the order number. I tried to cancel it, they won't respond. Their online (Bot) is the worst Bot I've encountered. I believe it was trained that way to frustrate you on purpose. Calling them, is even worse. Good luck if somebody picks up the phone. For way better quality and experience, SuitSupply seems to have it under control.

Don't trust a word they say

I purchased an Indochino suit several years ago, and after having it re-altered, it became the best suit I’ve ever owned. Because of that positive experience, I confidently recommended Indochino to my brother for his wedding, where the groomsmen needed a total of nine suits.
Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. Members of the wedding party traveled over an hour each way, on different occasions, to get measured. When the groom and I selected the fabric and completed our measurements, we were instructed not to place the order yet because the wedding party group needed to be created first—a process they were responsible for and said couldn’t be done the same day.
After three suits were finally ordered, we were informed that the selected fabric was no longer available. At that point, everyone had already been measured and had invested significant time and effort to make this happen. Instead of offering a reasonable solution or accommodation, we were told the only option was to cancel the entire order.
This was an extremely frustrating experience, especially given the scale and importance of a wedding order. The staff seemed unprepared to handle wedding parties, and the overall process felt disorganized and poorly managed. Armando at the Brea/Irvine location in particular was very unhelpful.
Based on this experience, I would strongly caution anyone planning to order suits for a wedding. Be prepared for disappointment, as Indochino appears to struggle with coordinating and supporting group wedding orders effectively.

Pants measurements completly off

I ordered 5 custom made pants and even paid for them to take the measurements. My initial visit was great, and personnel was nice and professional.
Pants came 1 month later but all wrong, they were short by like 10cm and some of them with the wrong specifications.
I took the pants back and waited for 1week to hear from them with a solution. They never called, I had to chase them, and they didn’t have an ETA - told me they needed to check with the factory.
After another week I called them back and same story, I needed to wait another month, so I requested a refund that took over 2 weeks and a couple of phone calls to chase them on getting it processed.

Long story short, don’t order if you have an important event, they are not reliable and can’t offer a quick turnaround.

I would give 0 stars

I would give 0 stars if that were an option. I ordered a suit for a wedding and went to the Mall of America location to get measured. The ordering and the measuring process went smoothly, however the store never took the order hold off after I was measure.

A month later and still no suit I reach out to customer service who deflects that they need to talk to the showroom. Jonathon asks if an email response is okay, and I say no, I request a phone call to resolve my issue. I call customer support back hours later after no response and request to speak to a supervisor to which I’m told I can’t be transferred to one and they would call back. Customer support Tyler said there was no timeframe on when a callback would occur.

Approximately a half hour after this 2nd call I receive an email, against my request for a phone call from Jonathon who states the Mall of America store is responsible for not removing my order hold. The options presented are either go ahead and make the suit, or not. Nothing about them doing their best to rush the order for it to arrive in time, and no other support. Again, I request to speak to a supervisor on receipt of my reply to this email to which I have received no other correspondence.

So now I’m a week away from my best friend’s wedding without a suit, still no call from a supervisor at customer support, still no resolution, and no suit for me with laughably bad customer support.

Do yourself a favor, go with Brooks Brothers, Men’s warehouse, or support your local tuxedo rental. Go anywhere but Indochino.

I had an excellent experience at…

I had an excellent experience at Indochino, thanks largely to Mufasa. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the different suit options and fabrics, and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for! Mufasa was also genuinely great to talk to—professional, personable, and easy to converse with throughout the entire appointment. Highly recommend!
