I do not like that student cannot check selected files before uploading. After 2026 ransomware attack by hackers I cannot trust it anymore.

This has got to be the worst school program in the entire world. I think a third grader using Ai can make a better website than canvas lol. Canvas has major issues like sending me notifications that a assignment is missing even though I already submitted it. Now im running into issues where it takes up to a minute to load content. This is the biggest waste of time and Ive lost so much time dealing with this crappy website that refuses to work. And whoever manages their website to fix bugs or problems is probably sleeping 24-7 and getting paid millions. 0/100 experience bring back blackboard.

this website barely works, we constantly have to reschedule tests because canvas keeps glitching out and its also really badly designed with horrible navigation

11:50 P.M. I wake up after taking a "short" nap. I open my computer and try to hand in my homework on Canvas. I look at my computer and see a blank, white screen. I reload the website. Nothing. Again. Again. Still nothing. I slam my hands on the computer as the clock ticks closer to 12:00. Tick, tock. I do everything in my power to try to make it load. Charging it. Restarting it. Factory resetting it. Nothing works. The clock ticks 12:00. I cry in a corner as a dozen messages enter my email.
Three days later, the entire website gets hacked. It's a good thing.

Horrible uploading process, confusing file management, Canvas Techs telling you to just delete things randomly to "fix" problems. Now teacher's can't find things I turned in. Nothing but problems for 2 semesters, the bigger the project is, the more problems while uploading . Complete waste of time. EVERY SINGLE UPLOAD TAKES A HALF HOUR TO FIGURE OUT. What works once, will not work again.

This company is absolute bs. When I was studying for a test, the same hackers hacked the site and canvas shut down for a few days. I had to take the test without studying. I don’t get how Canvas “tries to make their security better” by focusing on other items such as profit. Please get cybersecurity engineers.

This company gets hacked over and over. Apparently didn't learn anything from getting hacked last year by the same hackers. The students are the ones that suffer not getting their study material before finals.

Absolutely horrible. I use K12 ISAZ and its just absolute garbage. My school site was fine until it switched to Canvas. Before there werre no options for school email inboxes nor settings and now I can't even login. Canvas is unreliable and slow. I've been waiting hours to log in and it wont send me an emakl.

Absolutely RIDICULOUS. A massive data breach on a platform used by so many schools just proves their security is stupid and irresponsible. lawsuits are coming REAL SOON need to be accountable.

My school uses Canvas, and I must say, it is extremely poorly designed. Some pages don't theme correctly, others just don't work altogether. If you only have access to an iPad at home to do homework (like my brother) you sometimes simply can't. On the Canvas app, most images don't load and make navigating hard, especially if your teacher uses images as buttons. Then, if you would move to the website, touch controls just wouldn't work, stopping you from being able to do most activities. In the end, just use something simple like Seesaw or Class Dojo. Both bad, but at least better than this shitty platform.

I’ve been taking expensive private French lessons through this platform, and while I enjoy the teaching, the platform itself has made me consider leaving the course. For exercises, it’s not uncommon to lose points if your answer isn’t written exactly as the platform expects, down to the punctuation. This takes the joy out of learning a new language. The platform is difficult to navigate, feels outdated, and honestly, I really detest using it.

I can't believe in the age when people discuss User Experience and User Interfaces, hundreds of thousands of students go through this unreliable and poorly researched interface. What a waste! Please do not be surprised with poor students' performance, unless your goal is train people to jump through hoops and loops.

I’m a student and my school uses this and its actually pretty good I can see assignments and can customize my classes but it’s still for school and you know :(

Have been using Canvas for educational purposes for the last 2 years. It is a decent platform, but I believe it can be made much more organized. Or if there could be a feature that would allow you to customize how your dashboard looks like, how each course and its contents appear on the page, etc.
The syncing calendar with Google/Outlook Calendar is a pretty cool, life saving feature!

Like using canvas but it has issues. The website version has more features than the app for some reason. Otherwise I love how you can turn in assignments through the share menu on iPadOS. For what it is, it works about as well as it could.

A very bad platform that marks things incorrect even when you get them correct. Also does not allow you to watch videos that are central to the lessons.
