Unacceptable customer service and violation of Norwegian Consumer Law
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Kitch'n Fornebu S. I purchased a coffee grinder here, which broke down after just one week. The store replaced it, but the second one broke down a week later. This exact cycle happened THREE times. When the product failed for the fourth time due to the same recurring defect, I asked for a full cash refund. According to the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (Forbrukerkjøpsloven § 30), a retailer only has two attempts to remedy the same defect before the customer can cancel the purchase.Despite the law being completely clear, the store refused to refund my money. Instead, they tried to force me to accept store credit (tilgodelapp), which is illegal under these circumstances. I should not be forced to spend my money in a shop that repeatedly sells defective products.Be very careful when shopping here. If your product breaks, this store does not respect Norwegian consumer rights and will try to withhold your money. I have already filed a formal complaint and will take this to the Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) if not resolved immediately.
