So uncomfortable to shop when it’s hot!!

I've been shopping at Lager 157 in Kolding for years and I like the concept of the store. The prices are ok, the selection is nice, and I visit every now and then because I usually find what I'm looking for.

However, there is one major issue that has existed for years and still hasn't been resolved: the heat and humidity in the store during spring and summer. Every year it becomes incredibly hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable inside. As a customer, I find it unpleasant to shop there for any extended period of time.

What I don't understand is how the staff are expected to work in those conditions all day. If it's uncomfortable for customers who are only there for 15–30 minutes, it must be far worse for employees spending entire shifts in that environment. The store has been open for years, so it's surprising that this problem continues to return every summer without a proper solution it’s absolutely absurd!!

Unbelievable working conditions

I visited the store a few days ago with my family. We came all the way from Germany to Kolding. To our surprise the store was freezing cold, we even saw the employees wearing jackets and scarves. We like shopping at lager157 and have been there multiple times but I think the conditions the company is putting the employees through is unacceptable and I don’t want to support this business anymore.

What you describe regarding the temperature in the store is, of course, not acceptable. Our employees’ working environment is very important to us, and we take any concerns related to their well-being very seriously. Temporary issues can sometimes occur, but regardless of the cause, it should never affect either staff or customers in the way you experienced.

Nice staff - but quality worst on the market

Nice staff in the 2 shops I have visited, the idea behind the concept is brilliant, Limited number of items but a wide variety of colors. But the execution is awful. What is the point of purchasing a T-shirt when the quality is so bad it changes shape after 2 washes. Hoodies where holes appear after 4 washes...
This is the LEAST ENVIRONMENTAL CLOTHING COMPANY EVER.
I understand we live in a society where things go out of fashion quickly. The need for affordable clothings for families with kids who is growing out of stuff quickly is a great market. But the quality of the items at 157 is so low that my son who is 12 and only can wear his clothing for around 6 months now, has to throw it away because of holes appearing, T-shirts lose shape. Socks gets holes after 3 or 4 times.

Clothing that loses shape, develops holes after a few washes, or cannot be used for its intended lifespan is not acceptable. We fully understand your frustration, and we agree that garments should last longer than what you’ve described, regardless of price point.

We would also like to clarify that all our products are covered by a 3-year right to make a claim, in accordance with consumer protection laws. This means that if items show defects such as holes, loss of shape, or abnormal wear within this period, you are very welcome to contact us or visit one of our stores so we can review the issue and help you further.

The best and cheapest clothes in town

Ok, this store sells clothes for an incredible low price ... they can directly compete with flee market or with second hand.

And the quality is the same as clothes that costs 3 times as much in other stores.

I see people complain about this or that ... but the store in oslo is always full of customers and there are many happy customers, no doubt.

Anyone I know who has been to this store at least once ... has decided to come again and again ... and everyone knows its name ....

Be attentive to make sure your bought items are complete

It's a very large shop with different basic clothing items like hoodies, tops, sweaters etc. Prices are very reasonable

However the interesting experience I had was I bought a number of items, was asked to be a member, did that and the cashier said she needs to rescan the clothes, was to pay and the paypoint was not working had to pay on another paypoint. Packed the stuffs but when I got home noticed items from what I bought was not in the bag, a jeans and others
Came back and I was told they did not know how it got missing, but good got the two missing items which was very obvious back
However got home and found two small inner wears were missing. I got fed up having to go back again
When I went a few days later cos its not close I was told there was nothing they could do about it.

Be attentive when you go to the shop and check all the items before you leave

Avoid, this is chaos!

I have purchased 2 separate orders, more than 2 weeks ago. Their official statement is delivery within 5-7 working days. I havent got anything yet and about 20 days have passed. Yet my Klarna is ticking off...

More than disappointed.
Will not buy again!

SUPER slow delivery and impossible size

Sizes over M are often impossible to find in store, which I consider it fairly discriminatory against people with a certain weight. On top of this, purchasing online takes AGES, over 20 days (and I am still waiting) to get a parcel delivered IN SHOP. This is ridicolous nowadays when parcels from China arrives in a week.

Pricing is obviously great and with that in mind I can't complain about the quality which I do think is competitive with bigger brands, at least with pricing in mind.

Often long queues at check out but I guess less employees means cheaper clothes.

Cheap is nasty incl. the whole customer experience

Their Finnish website messy and translations are propably done by Google translator. Webshop like the first ones from the early days of internet. Goods delivered without return labels and it seems to be a huge effort to get one from their customer service and suddenly there is a rule that one cant return the goods to their local shop because its workwear. When it comes to their quality of products, cheap is really nasty! Too many things wrong with the customer experience in my case.

Wouldn’t recommend it

The shop was very messy; shelves and displays full of random clothing that wasn’t organized whatsoever. Bad impression as soon as you enter the store.
Staff were unhelpful and unresponsive to each other (the cashier called out for help three times before another employee showed up).
Quality of clothing is on the cheaper side, very thin and made of polyester. Very Primark-like for those familiar with the chain. Won’t last you long, better spend your money somewhere else. Wouldn’t recommend lager 157.

This store is a big 0

Every time I went in this store, the discounted price on the product wasn't the actual price. Every single time I was charged double. And then after payment they say the discounted price is the club price which was not written anywhere on the product. The workers in the shop are really bad. The waiting lines for paying for the clothes are never ending. A big disappointment overall.
