Its a good idea to have all travel arrangements under 1 supplier. I think I have gained a better insight into how to use Navan. I just booked a flight and that was a good experience. I will continue... See more

5 months and waiting for a refund.
Long story short, I booked a hotel through Navan in February. My reservation was cancelled by the hotel when I checked in and they made a new reservation even though I already paid through Navan/Priceline. I gave my card thinking it was just for incidentals but was charged the full price of the hotel for three days. I have been trying to get a refund for nearly 5 months and it has still not been resolved. I will never recommend Navan to any business professional in the future.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Whilst initially prompt after I booked my ticket and had problems booking a seat (that I had already paid for) but after after contacting them multiple time across a 2 week period, each time them telling me something else. Miss-sold me business class. One of their customer service team said that she'd cancel and refund me, if she wasn't able to resolve it. Then a week later, after waiting for them to update me on the seat. Just told I hadn't booked business and couldn't be refunded. I've now tried to contact them across the last two days and they're just ignoring me. Avoid. Waste of money, miss selling and terrible customer service.
Terrible experience using Navan
Terrible experience using Navan. Much quicker and cheaper booking directly. Instead of helping customers, it creates slow and unreliable workflows, creating more problems.
Worst platform I have used in many…
Worst platform I have used in many years. You end up paying more than booking yourself. The flexibility is none. I always end up having to contact the airline directly because their customer service is not helpful. Their customer service is actually terrible, why? First their AI Agent is unhelpful, their human agents are very sassy, they patronize you if you insist and they have to contact airlines through a business channel which takes longer than an individual. Reason I leave this review is because they cut off chat after 5min of inactivity (how do you stay active when a chat lasts 2h on average?) and their CSAT disappears after 5min. Best example of how poor implementation of a CS system looks like.
If someone wants to take advantage of…
If someone wants to take advantage of you, they'll find a way. It doesn't have to be the exact thing that happened to me today, it'll be something else tomorrow. That's why I don't waste time trying to outsmart every trick.
Today, I was offered a fare with a $1,300 fee for a checked bag simply because the return flight didn't include baggage.
That's the kind of experience that reminds you how expensive it can be to overlook the fine print, and why it's worth dealing with companies that earn your trust instead of exploiting your mistakes.
Unbelievably !!!! BAD !!!!
I don't usually write reviews, but this experience has been so unbelievably frustrating that I literally couldn't stop myself from writing one. It's THAT bad!
The amount of times I've tried to book a train, had it approved by my manager within minutes, and then been told by the platform that the fare is "no longer available" is ridiculous. My manager can approve it one minute, and the next minute I can't check out. Yet if I go directly to the train operator's website, the exact same ticket is still available!
Every single time, I end up having to contact customer support, and honestly that's a whole other nightmare. I have to explain the same thing over and over again, practically spelling it out word for word, and somehow they still don't understand what the issue is and WHAT TYPE OF TICKET I'M ACTUALLY REQUESTING!
The final straw was when I booked what was supposed to be a return journey, and the platform only issued a single ticket. I contacted support, repeatedly explained that I needed a RETURN ticket, and they still ended up booking me a single ticket! Now my manager has to buy another ticket separately at a much higher price, effectively doubling the cost.
This platform doesn't just make booking travel difficult—it actively creates problems that shouldn't exist and ends up costing companies more money and me time and neurons. Literally typing this at 1:30 in the morning instead of sleeping because tomorrow I have the train and I don't have this figured out. If only I would have been in charge of my own company, I would absolutely NOT use this platform at all!!!!!!
Difficult to deal with!
I booked flights to Australia using Navan. I had to change my return leg and found Navan to be very difficult to contact and then to deal with. I ended up having to camp for 12 hours at Abu Dhabi airport because they screwed up. The airline (Etihad) said if I had booked direct then I could have caught an immediate transfer out.

Toally bad user experience
Toally scam. Every time you need to change a flight or hotel you need to talk with them, subjected to what they want. Time consuming and waste of energy. Plus if you call the flying company directly they said that the flight is stuck with navan, so you ate obliged to talk with them.

The system is VERY slow
The system is VERY slow. It flags expenses incorrectly. It is not intuitive at all. The time for me to create my expense report just increased from 1 hour to over 4 hours.

The best plataform to book flights and hotels, not only in the US but worldwide, the best prices.
I even switch from Expedia to Navan because the reward program is better.

Some of the most buggy software I have ever used and non-existant customer support.
I have been trying to use Navan for our company travel for nearly 3 weeks now. Every time I go to confirm a booking, it locks my account for suspicious activity. All I am trying to do is book a train ticket.
Each time the account is unlocked, but they are unable to respond with any reasoning despite me providing details that this keeps occurring. If the platform will not let me book a simple train ticket, I have little faith the rest of the platform will work as intended either.

Zero customer service
Zero customer service. You’re FAR better off booking direct. Not a good day for you if your company uses Navan for bookings…it may simplify things for the company, but you’ll be screwed. Navan means no service!

Would have left me without a valid ticket
The worst business travel booking experiences I’ve had.
Booked the same flight 8x. Every time, Navan changed my confirmed 6PM return to 6AM with 0 notification.
Support eventually reproduced the issue and manually booked it. 2 days later, the airline told me it was cancelled. Again, no notification from Navan.
If I hadn’t kept checking myself, I would have shown up with no valid flight.
Wasted hours on support chats for something that should’ve taken 10 minutes.

6 weeks post transition from a traditional TMC, the experience with Navan has been excellent. From the UX to the content, to the support team, Transitioning to Navan was the right corporate choice.
