A five star company and footwear. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The quality and comfort is superb and the fit very good. Prompt service which is very straight forward too. These are my second part of barefoot shoes/boots from this company and I will definitely be buying more.

The delivery was quick as requested. However the handles are almost unbearable because the soles are so slippery. I slipped on dry slabs the first time I wore them and have been apprehensive to try wearing them again.

I am really sorry to hear you have experienced this with your new sandals. Having checked, we have been unable to locate any previous correspondence from yourself so we were unaware of your experience prior to receiving this review.
Unfortunately, smooth tiled surfaces can be difficult for any shoes to grip especially when the shoes are brand new as brand new outsoles often retain microscopic amounts of products used during the manufacturing process. Walking on rough surfaces like concrete etc slightly scuffs and roughens the smooth factory finish creating more friction between the outsole and the ground. Once worn in, grip improves.
The only shoes that will provide grip on all surfaces is a sandal with a specific certified non slip sole. As ours do not have this certification, we do not advertise these sandals as being non slip. We have sold many pairs of these sandals and this is the first complaint of this nature we have received. We did not find the soles to be slippery when we completed wear testing prior to this style being made.
If you wish, we can get the sandal's back for our inspection and further testing. If you would for this to be arranged, please contact our support team by email using support@oakandyde.co.uk and one of our customer service team will be happy to arrange this for you.

Great service all round.
Great communications, products quality and affordability. A breath of fresh air for those who require or seek natural material minimalist footwear at an affordable price. The blackthorn boots have transformed my dog walk and I have a ritual for boot care now after several months of wearing stinky synthetic cheap minimalist footwear due to struggling to justify the cost of something like vivos. Emma was very happy to receive good feedback too so think their heart is in the business too. Will definitely be back for a few more pairs and potentially explore other footwear to use in certain situations that doesn't require a 6mm sole. There are a lot of great shoes on there hope to see some more styles in the future

Good service, sadly the left boot will need to be adjusted, the top curves in, towards my shin which after a day out cut in to my skin. Previiously, my sandals are perfect

Without seeing images of the boots it is difficult for us to advise on the boots shape you have mentioned, however with our Bridge Chelsea boots, we use a premium quality waxed leather, sometimes, this can feel a little stiff straight out of the box, as leather can take a little time to soften. This will soften beautifully with wear. I have a pair of boots made with the same leather and these have softened really nicely and now feel super comfortable around my legs.
