Felt like she totally understood. Helped with the way I need to react to certain situations
It is a great experience that helped me a lot to overcome the loss of someone I love, traumas, breakups, low self-esteem, and post-traumatic experiences. Online therapy took my hand and guided me to live a better life, love myself and never hurt myself again. Their wonderful approach affected me for years in a lightful way.
A really great therapist and an easy interface.
Lynn is an outstanding therapist. She is really knowledgeable but also listens well and communicates her knowledge and advice very effectively.
This site gave me a horrible experience during the time I was most vulnerable and needed help the most. The therapists don't look like they care and are qualified. It's wasted money

Update 23/09/2026 I asked for a full refund and they refunded all six months of payments, and I appreciate that. They reached out to ask if I would update my review following the resolution, and while a refund doesn't make up for the time wasted and the damage, I am updating this to reflect how they handled the financial side.
Main review:
I signed up for Online-Therapy.com because it was the least expensive because I can't afford therapy, hoping to find specialized clinical care, but my experience has been incredibly poor, stressful, and entirely counterproductive to mental health support.
I have used this platform and changed multiple therapists for 6 months and I have paid a total of 1216 euros. I earn 1500 euros per month.
Complete Unreliability: I needed my last scheduled live session. I logged on while on my annual leave, having cancelled personal plans and a dinner out to ensure I was on time. The therapist completely stood me up. I sat alone in an empty virtual waiting room for 50 minutes of a 45-minute slot.
Abysmal, Unprofessional Provider Quality: This is not an isolated incident; it is a systemic issue with the platform's vetting process. Across multiple therapists I tried, the care was shockingly low quality. One therapist constantly forgot critical details we had already discussed. Another aggressively tried to push me into doing the exact opposite of what I explicitly asked for help with. A third therapist conducted our session with their child running around actively disrupting the environment.
Incompetent Clinical Advice: Most egregious of all, when trying to address deep-rooted childhood trauma, one therapist's medical solution was to tell me to "drink a cup of hot milk." I have childhood trauma of abuse how is a cup of hot milk going to help? It is insulting that a platform charges premium rates for "clinical care" that amounts to useless, dismissive home remedies instead of actual psychological expertise.
The Subscription Trap: When a therapist fails to show up or delivers substandard care, the financial and administrative burden falls entirely on the paying customer. You are forced to waste your own time tracking down support, logging complaints, and chasing after your money.
The only reason I tried using online-therapy.com is because I can't afford to pay for a private therapist which makes the whole thing even worse.
Do not waste your money here if you need reliable, consistent, and professional mental health support. This platform treats a deeply personal, critical human service like a broken tech transaction. You are vastly better off bypassing these middleman subscription apps entirely and finding an independent, private practitioner directly through official, professional clinical registries.

It's been a great experience so far having just completed my first month. The worksheets and journal are structured so well. It's great that my therapist gets to provide feedback on the worksheets, it gives us a focus for the video calls which works very well. I already feel more positive and have developed a lot of skills for coping with issues I have been facing. I would recommend this for anyone who needs help in any area of their life.

Really happy with the therapist and resources available

The site seems to have an epidemic of people who cannot read & do not care about what other people actually mean.
- My therapist just replies generic bullshit to my messages (e.g. thanking you for sharing blah blah blah). An AI could do a better job pretending to be human.
- They look half asleep during the sessions. They cut me off and speak more than me during the session. They go on and on about how they've met this guy and that guy.
- They seem to be much more concerned about their ratings than actually helping me. For example, I asked them to write less because I don't want to read exactly the same paragraph every time, but they said that they are evaluated on their responses by the site so they have to write.
- I couldn't schedule all my sessions before the end of my subscription month, so I emailed customer service. They completely missed the point of the email and thought that I was complaining about something else.

I feel I got my money's worth from my counsellor, she was always there when I needed her.

The platform is good. A lot of my satisfaction has to do with the quality of the specific therapist they connected me with. But their fees were reasonable and customer service responsive. I've referred friends since.

The score is related to costs and how the company takes subscription fees and does not allow you to pause therapy. I had 4 sessions which were charged at an introductory offer rate. On 1.7.26 I was charged £280 for the second month of a further 4 sessions. Unfortunately I had an emergency situation arise and so I asked for my sessions to be paused however this was declined (as I had cancelled my subscription) even though I explained I have no time to fit in therapy at the moment.
I found their approach to pausing sessions completely non-negotiable and not how I would want to be treated by an organisation that should be supportive by the very nature of the business. The email responses and tone of responses reeked of a business just wanting to make money and due to this I would advise other potential customers to avoid this organisation and search online for other's as there are other company's providing these services.

I've worked with two different therapists and both were great in their own ways. I'm sure anyone could find a good fit for therapy here.

Therapy with my amazing therapist is a great and very helpful experience for me. She is empathic and very understanding, positive and has great ideas and inputs. I understand myself better and am learning the language of self compassion. Grounding has been very helpful to learn to calm myself down. Therapy has really widened my horizon. I am very grateful for useful tools and practices I am learning.
The only challenge has been getting support when I need support with the platform. That has been a difficult experience. That is why I only gave 4 stars. For the therapeutic offer I would give the full five stars. Thank you for this great opportunity that is life changing for me!

This is good when you can’t have access to a therapist. I’ve had trouble finding a therapist for years but this is a good jumpstart as someone who wants to learn more about themself and why they react to things the way they do.

I used this service for a few months in total, but encountered two issues
Firstly, the site's method of charging per week instead of per session results in frustration and wasted time and potentially money. Twice, one of my therapists cancelled last minute at the end of the week, so there was no time to reschedule and I lost that week's credit. Then when I cancelled my subscription as I no longer needed the therapy but wanted to finish my remaining weeks, I discovered that the platform doesn't allow a user to pause their subscription if they have already cancelled. So, because my therapist's next availability was after my subscription was going to end, I was going to lose my credits. In both cases I had to send several emails back and forth with support in order to just get the therapy sessions I had paid for.
Secondly, though I'm sure there are many good therapists on the site, I encountered two bad ones out of the three I had. With my first therapist, I mentioned explicitly in my first session which kind of therapy I would like, which he had tagged on his profile as having expertise in. After a few sessions, when we hadn't started the therapy programme I wanted, and I raised this, he subsequently dropped me as a patient! With my second therapist, he cancelled three times, twice with very little notice.
I do not take off too many points for this second complaint as this is a fact of life. The bigger issue is charging by week which makes it all too easy to lose paid credits and the hassle of having to email to get the therapy youve paid for. It's not what you want when taking therapy.
