While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

I wish I could give 0 to this dishonest company!

I wish I could give 0! Since years I'm literally "terrorised" to pay fees, orf Beitrag which they invented into force from the 01.01.2024 but I didn't even have a TV or radio (who needs it nowadays) not I have been living at address physically. After personal tragedy/loss I had to move out from address on the 12.12.2023 and been living abroad for months. Upon return, I had to deregister (yes, I didn't do it immediately since I was shocked, didn't even think about it). I de-registered myself on the 6.06.2024 from the address where orf sent me invoice for the full month of 2024!! I quickly send a proof that it's wrong and they have to correct it (well, in general I'm not even obliged to pay for this non-sense, never had TV or radio and didn't live there). However, instead of to be honest and correct, orf passed my invoice to Inkasso Lowell and since many months they send me more and more amount to pay!! Today, I again got an Email from orf (they apologies" for late response which is in fact made deliberately, that they recalculated until August which is wrong and will pass to Inkasso)! Sorry, but I wish I had enough funds to get a good lawyer to make them pay to me back for incorrect and dishonest behaviour!!! Terrible professional and ethical approaches!!! I'm coming originally from Ukraine, and know how money matters! But no wonder, how many people are so negative and against.

Unresponsive and Disappointing Service from ORF

I sent all the required documents to apply for an exemption from the ORF tax almost 2 months ago because my income is below the threshold. According to their rules, I qualify for the exemption.

Despite waiting all this time, I have not received any reply. I even followed up to check if they received my documents, but they continue to ignore me. This is unacceptable.

Falschbrief

Update: It has turned out that if you live in Austria, a law has been enacted that, starting from 2024.01.01, every resident must pay a monthly fee of 15.30€ for ORF, even if you don't want to use their services. Without any prior information, they will simply send you an envelope, informing you that you have to pay.

I got an envelope, they sent me a 220€ Bill for something i did not subscribe for, i don’t even now this company is existed untill now, also i did not use a tv,shame on this scammer company

Got this nice surprise in the post that…

Got this nice surprise in the post that we are forced to pay for something we do not even use. Absolutely disgusting! We not have a television nor do we listen to the radio and it seems like the programs are senseless in any case!
