The quality of the watch and the customer service

The quality of the watch is simply ugly, in diving watches limited edition it’s not just about swimming, you can’t wash the dishes.
The official authorized by Oris dealer from whom I bought the watch turned out to be some scam artist and the customer service has no business with all that.
No results for nine months of correspondence with the customer service.

Don't deal with this company

Everything started when I emailed Oris customer service to report that a strap I ordered had not been delivered. I had to wait four full days for a reply, and despite me attaching the full UPS conversation showing it was lost, the employee (Philipp) simply said, “You received the watch,” completely missing the point.
I chased again send the confirmation from UPS about the lost item, and only after another day Philipp aknloledge it without any sorry for the experiece, followed by a refund, without any attempt to resend the strap. On my first message I had clearly asked for the strap to be resent immediately, but this was completely ignored.
At this point, I complained, and a different person (Inan) stepped in. He apologised and offered to send the strap with a goodwill gift straight away on them. I appreciated that gesture and even offered to pay if necessary. But the following day, the same employee who caused the poor service from the start Philipp reappeared, and told me to place a new order myself.
I escalated the matter to the CEO. One of them, Rolf Studer, replied late at night, apologised, and said that Inan would contact me the next day to resolve it. I expected the obvious: “Your strap has been shipped this morning with a small gift and that would have been the end of it. Instead, Inan’s “solution” was to replce the order.
After a week of back-and-forth, involving the CEO, and clearly being a loyal customer (I spent £1,500 on a watch just a month ago and £130 on this strap), the minimum gesture should have been to send the strap free of charge and apologise properly.
This is not luxury service. Those are amateurs, and Oris as company is transactional, short-sighted, and entirely lacking in hospitality or luxury feeling. I will never deal with them again.

Do not buy ORIS especially val 910

When you buy an automatic watch that has a broken automatic winding, you expect the service to help you. Unfortunately, after four months without a response, you receive a letter from ORIS stating, we cheated you, this watch needs to be wound because we don't know how to fix it or we don't want to, after all, we already have your money. ORIS's impudence and theft knows no bounds

Oris Scandinavian Service provider…

Oris Scandinavian Service provider staehrgroup.com can not be recommended. They try to rip you off by claiming the need for new parts for example a new 100% perfect dial. It is impossible to communicate with them in any way possible. Without prior notice the watch was returned to my watch store. Claiming a 60 euro freight. Stay away from these Danes!

Excellent (fast and good quality)…

Excellent (fast and good quality) service repair of a Divers 65 Cal.4000 watch under warranty conditions, professional communication and delivery.
Complete movement was replaced, watch was cleaned and also a water resistance test done. The service was done in one of the the Oris service suppliers in Germany, by appointment of the central Oris customer service center.

Oris ProPilot X with salmon dial. Love it!

My ProPilot X with salmon dial is a keeper. The dial fills most of the 39mm case (fairly thin bezel) and is wonderfully low on text and free of other clutter so it's easy to see the time at a glance. The titanium case and bracelet keeps things light. The crown is chunky and grippy, and the winding action easy and buttery smooth. I love that Oris have developed their own movement that can run for five days with excellent timekeeping. My example runs perfectly well.

I am shocked to learn from earlier reviewers that Oris will give me appalling aftercare should I need it. Their comments are so negative that I suspect I would have struck Oris from my shortlist had I read them before going watch shopping. Their lack of engagement with owners is particularly worrying.

I had to give Oris five stars because, of course, I am rating my experience and not that of others!

VERY POOR professionalism but EXCELLENT EXPERTS IN SCAMS

I purchased Artelier caliber 112 in March. After a few days I noticed that the surface of the sun symbol, and that of the moon a little less so, had some grooves. For an expensive watch and for a high-end brand like Oris, although mistakes can still happen.
I notified the Swiss office, telling me to send the watch to them via the Oris representative in Finland and that they would install nicer symbols.
I received the watch last week and only opened the package a few days ago. Unfortunately, the sun symbol still has grooves, although less evident, while that of the moon appears to be the same as the one originally mounted.
What to say!? I am deeply disappointed and feel cheated. Probably, they tried to fix and not replace. The watch has been in the factory for almost two months to no avail. I will definitely never buy an Oris product again and I will not recommend it to anyone. However, I "thank" the Oris management for having tried something unprofessional and honest to remedy the inconvenience. "Congratulations" also to the CEO who never responded to my emails.

The crown broke due to poor quality

The crown broke due to poor quality. Sent overseas, back to Oris Switzerland, for repair where it has sat for over a year now. Oris Switzerland flatly refuse to provide any status update on the repair. Arrogant and apathetic.

No help providing information

As a qualified watchmaker, I approached Oris for any technical documents relating to a vintage Oris wristwatch. They just wanted me to send the watch to them, even though I told them it was in pieces, having just been through my watch cleaning machine. It seems that they are reluctant for their watches to be serviced by other watchmakers. Very disappointing, and I shalln't be recommending them to any of my contacts.

Subpar

I love the design of my Big crown pro pilot watch but tbh, the caliber should be better for the price point. Worst accuracy than my Seiko and Longines. -15s to -25s per day.

Feels ridiculous typing this but I am…

Feels ridiculous typing this but I am really angry with how I have just been treated. I had a Oris Divers 65 watch bought for my 50th and it is beautiful. The leather strap lasted just over a year and has started to fall to bits through no reason. Carefully worn by me and not put under any stress or physical demand. Just fallen to pieces. Oris or Chrontime (Bolton) will not assist as it is an accessory not the watch that has failed and accused me of 'well using' the watch?? At a cost of over £1500 you should be able to well use a watch and trust in the strap that it comes with??? I work on a computer everyday and not on an oil rig!! Awful customer service, phone assistant talking over me and using the word 'obviously' allot. Understandably frustrating conversation of which she kept accusing me of being very rude. So disappointed and now looking at spending £100's on a new strap. Just a heads up!

Don’t buy Oris!

Bought an Oris Big Crown Propilot about five years ago. Shortly after It stopped working and I had to send it for repair. After that I have send it twice with about 12 months interval. Same fault.
Now it’s stopped again and I have to send it for repair. This watch is the worst bs!
All the time I have to correct the minutes because it’s loosing time.
Warning! Don’t buy Otis

Beware poor quality straps

Purchased an Oris Big Crown Pro Pilot GMT under 2 years ago. Generally happy with the watch until a few weeks ago the stock fabric strap just fell apart where it joins the leather inner.
This was not a wear and tear issue - all the nylon fabric strands just came unstuck and came away cleanly. I have pictures to prove it and sent them to Oris. Thankfully the watch did not fall far and was undamaged.
I contacted oris.ch who very unhelpfully stated that the expected lifetime of a strap is 6-15 months. I was shocked. I've owned many watches in my lifetime and never have I had a strap that has such a poor quoted lifetime.
Oris refuse to acknowledge that this is a problem. What a waste of my money. I cannot recommend this brand.
