customer service wait times are way too long
wait times for customer service are atrocious these days. they're another example of a company over-indexing on AI and infuriating customers in the meantime.
I had no idea this company was so bad
I had no idea this company service was so bad. They messed up our tax payments, unethically double charged us, made many errors moving us from one account to another and customer services seems not trained at all. This is quite alarming to see from the billion dollar publicly traded company....

Application portal is completely messed up and worthless. Scrambling all my letters. Can't apply as a result. Incredibly frustrating!!!
ABOSLUTELY TERRIBLE
ABOSLUTELY TERRIBLE, THREE MONTHS NOW I SWITCHED JOBS AND I CANT GET INTO MY HSA SPENDING ACCOUNTS.3 MONTHS AND I HAVE YET TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE MUTLIPLE DAYS OF OVER AN HOUR WAITING AND NO ONE PICKS UP. IF YOU CALL AND SAY YOURE AN EMPLOYER YOU GET A HUMAN BUT ONCE YOU TELL THEM THEY SWTICH YOU BACK TO WAITING. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY MY ACCOUNT SAYS I HAVE A 0 BALANCE WHEN I ALMOST HAVE TWO GRAND AND NO ONE WILL HELP ME. WHAT IS MY LEGAL RECOURSE?
Customer Service is terrible now!
As a 13 year client I have to say customer service is in the toilet at Paylocity. They are burning through teams, constantly changing staff and no one can read and respond to emails appropriately. I have been emailing for over a month about a credit we were due and I expressed my displeasure. No one cares.

Wouldn’t give me pricing for their product unless I sit on a 45 minute phone call. Emails were rude and sarcastically wished me good luck.
Absolute trash
Absolute trash. They can say it’s the IRS and not them, but whoever makes it so your money is constantly frozen for review every time you seek mental healthcare online, they’ve made this product unusable. Worst financial decision we’ve ever made, and we will be begging our company and all others to switch to another program offering.
Whatever you do, don’t give these people your money to steward. You’ll fight for the right to spend it all year. Terrible customer service, and a problematic program that needs legislative updates to protect against this grift.
50/50
I just want to say that this app doesn't always suck it's got some good in there as well but I have the worst luck with this app at times when it's bad it's bad it's every time I change phones and I had such a hard time that I don't even know what user name or password was used and sometimes clocking in also I punch in and see the green check but when I go to lunch nothing
Unethical and Shady
Unethical and Shady!
I used them for 1.5 years to do my payroll (very small business). I ended service with them mid-year. At end of year, they had not sent out my W2, so I called to get an estimate on how much to send W2. The rep on phone said about $75. They auto-drafted $400 from my bank account! Totally not the $75 fee I agreed to. They pulled a fast one and now...won't refund my money or acknowledge that they lied to me about the service costs. Nowhere was it documented a $400 service fee. I'm so very glad that I stopped doing business with them. I'm using another payroll company in the future as how Paylocity handled this was unethical.
If I could give it zero
If I could give it zero, I would! Fraudulent and careless, lack of customer service or care for really anything except promoting terrible people to replace them with worse (expect CONSTANT cycle of support, and their support, and their support - all who know little to nothing about how the system actually works). Taxes will not be filed on time and to your surprise, you’ll just get an email saying your petty refund will be processed and that the ownership is now upon you as a business. None of the departments talk to one another so good luck getting the modules to work together. Also, don’t expect actual support, open AI has provided me 90% of my answers which results in a bandaid until we can get out of our contract. One last thing to mention, don’t expect timely responses that are agreed to in your service contract, if you get one at all. I constantly feel I’m on the show “punked” except there’s no laugh at the end, just employees and a company left feeling exposed and taken advantage of.
If I could give fewer stars I would
If I could give fewer stars I would. I need more time to set up a BBB account but I will and share this there as well. I spent MONTHS trying to get my HSA set up and they promised to email me, never did. I called and couldn’t get through and when I did and went off on the person they blackmailed me into being quiet by saying “ I’m the one trying to help you. Do you want me to help you or not?” I mean really. How/why do you work for a company that lets anyone say stuff like that?
As for the rest of it, it’s sucks. If I am not showed or told how to use the non intuitive resources you provide, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO USE THEM? I do not have time when learning a new job to learn an HR Program. Why don’t you have at least a basic overview available.
This will be my last job ever and I’ve NEVER had such a nonexistent HR before. In a sentence PAYLOCITY SUCKS! And the smarta$$ People who are your interface are as poor a reflection on your products as the products themselves.
Poor service
Poor management
Poor product
Would give you a minus 100 stars if I could.
And btw my issues were months ago. This is not anger from something I’m still experiencing. It is an impression that has survived and will not change. Your atten to the people who need you is nonexistent
Time clock kiosks are horrible
If anyone is thinking about using the Paylocity kiosk for a time clock I wouldn't recommend it. It's been basically useless where I work with how slow it is when it actually does work. So I'm going to be filling out a time sheet for my time. Don't need the hassle. This has been ongoing for more than just a few weeks.
Uninformed and unmotivated staff, long holds, glitchy system prone for errors
Uninformed staff, unmotivated to really help, glitchy systems with error messages w/o resolution unless they help-unable to reach human EVER to fix their errors. Email a question and they clearly never read it and answered something you did not ask. Trying for 2 months to set up FSA spending account and still can’t get them to do it right. On hold one hour and gave up. Maddening. Stupid waste of time.
The company does not respond to…
The company does not respond to requests from customers. Terrible customer service. There are plenty of better payroll companies out there. Don’t choose this one.
Worst customer service ever!
As an employee whose company used Paylocity, I never had to use it myself as it's capabilities weren't really leveraged by my company. The most I used it for was to check PTO or see my paystub. For that the stuff it was fine. Where Paylocity has really failed me is with their administration of my Medical Insurance COBRA. Their website is easy to enroll and accept payment however if you have a question they do not have anyone through any mechanism to speak too in a timely manner. I paid for my COBRA, however weeks later I still have been unable to go to the doctor because Paylocity has never contacted the Insurance Provider to have my insurance re-instated. I have called Paylocity multiple time and emailed them however, I have never been lucky enough to talk to anyone. Even with the call back function they have instead of holding, I have never been able to talk to anyone. I did get a call back but they left a message and gave the same number that no matter when you call says " we are experiencing long delays". So it's a loop, I call them, two days later they leave a message and say try again. So a month has gone by and I've paid for two months of insurance and haven't been able to go to the doctor. As an individual who has been laid off, the cost of medical insurance is expensive especially when you can't use it due to poor customer service from the plans administrator. Paylocity customer service is the worst!
Worst - EVER
Why do I even have to give a star. They are ; LEGIT the worst place to contact, work for and do anything with…. Your HR Company wants to hire them, then run, RUN FAST THE OTHER WAY! I can’t believe they’re on a “BEST” list because CLEARLY; Reputable reviews, trust nothing and no one here. Oh, so this is my week 3 ongoing of attempting to get anyone. I’ve emailed, many times, called almost everyday- NOTHING.

I am trying to move my funds to my new employers account. They have shut down my account/bank card, but will not process the transfer. Oh course they are taking my money as a monthly charge while provide nothing to me.
Anything that can go wrong will go…
Anything that can go wrong will go wrong with Paylocity. Most complicated payroll system ever! Everything you do with Paylocity is a project. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Stay away.
