I came to Proback Clinics, Victoria with L4/5 disc extrusion with impingement of the left L5 nerve root and irritation/mild impingement of the right L5 nerve root a well as moderate spinal canal stenosis being managed with high dosage of Gabapentin and Co-codamol tablets.
With the combination of Shock wave and Decompression sessions, coupled with prescribed exercises, I'm now feeling really better, my unusual gait has tremendously improved and my mobility has greatly improved too.
My Appreciation goes to Dr Chris and his ever friendly, polite and very professional team for their wonderful jobs @ Proback.

After suffering from a herniated disc (L5/S1) and also upper back, neck and shoulder pains for a number of years I thought all was lost. I had tried everything from chiropractors, physios, cortisone shots and acupuncture. All would help alleviate the pain short term but nothing would solve the problem. I was stuck in a vicious cycle of having to see them on a weekly basis.

I saw an advert for Proback and thought why not (I’d tried everything else). It was so refreshing to be shown by Dr Chris on my X-rays what was actually wrong with me and form a long term plan to correct it. All I had heard for the past few years is that it’s because I work in an office and sit at a desk all day.

With a combination of shockwave treatment, exercises and spinal orthic pillows I am feeling better than I ever have done. I am less stiff, my mobility is improving and although not completely pain free yet, the difference is night and day from where I started! I look forward to continuing my recovery and would recommend the clinic to anyone who has back issues.

Everyone at the clinic is extremely nice, from the ladies on reception to the team who do the shockwave treatments. Dr Chris is a great guy and really cares about your recovery.

Yes it is expensive but you are investing in your health long term and don’t think you can put a price on that. Especially if you add up all the previous costs of seeing a chiropractor week in week out to get that slight relief.

So glad I went there and if you have back pain there is no other place to go!

Hii I am builder working hard and one day fell down to my back got injured I have been to gb they have send me to mri scan and after that I got my results that between l5 l6 disc has issue and than gb has given some pain killers to go home but never help me. Also I wasn’t very well after fell down I can’t walk very well I can’t sleep my life was miserable I also couldn’t let my wife sleep to that was very uncomfortable time for me and than I went private doctors wich is closed to me they have given some pain killers They said stop what you using (which gb has given) but didn’t help att all paint was there still and than suddenly I have typed some information to google I glad that find PROBACK CLINIC IN VICTORIA I HAVE BOOK TO APP THERE TO GO AND I GOT THERE THEY GOT FRIENDLY STAFF AND MY DOCTOR WAS VERY HELPFUL PERSON SINCE THAN I CAN START WALKING NORMAL STILL I HAVE NOT FINISHED MY SESSION BUT I FILL VERY WELL THANKS PROBACK THANKS FOR ALL STAFF THAT THEY HAVE TREATED ME VERY WELL THEY THE BEST CLINIC EVER BEEN

I walked into proback office after having 3 steroid injections, physiotherapy, osteo and seeing other chiropractors for herniated/bulged/degenerated disc and nothing helped. Proback immediately assessed my situation, took some x-rays and noted that the problems starts from the neck down, although everyone I had seen prior concentrated only on the back problem and not once did it occur to any of them that it could be more than just the back. I had started treatment straightaway with the radial shockwave and saw improvement on day one!!! After a few sessions and seeing improvements, I’ve added the spinal decompression to my treatment. I’ve improved a lot, thanks to proback. Dr. Allard does not B.S. He tells you what you need to know rather than want to hear. The front desk staff are amazing and the other staff are exceptional too. The entire staff are always cheerful. Covid precautions are well in place and I always leave there not worrying about being exposed and see improvement after each visit. Customer service is at the forefront. I am still taking treatment and will come back to give further feedback.....

Well, I read all the reviews after being asked if I would write a review. I was flabbergasted at the bad experiences of some. I must say, I cannot relate to them at all!

My experience of ProBack has been a God send. I am 40 and thought my back pain was my demise to my end and what was install for me as I grew older. I went from an active women to not even being able to walk down the steps, get out of bed, get in or out the shower, use the toilet or get in or out my car and walk the short distance to work. I even started researching disability benefits and rejigging my finances as I thought at some point in the near future I would be unable to work again.

The pain was so excruciating and scary as it seemed to have come out of nowhere. No matter how many times I went to my GP they had no explanation for the pain. After a MRI scan, they even said I was fine and should just take pain killers! Was this it for me I thought?! It was at that point I decided to research back pain specialist clinics. Initially I tried a Chiropractor, but I was in too much pain, so the practitioner was unable to carry out any therapy.

Then! Thanks to modern technology! Those once annoying pop-up adverts popped up with a ProBack ad. I was so intrigued that I watched the whole advert, I even clicked onto the YouTube link which showed a lady in pain, who could not walk properly and later showed her walking. I straight away took advantage of the £60 initial consultation and had an X-ray done. Following the X-ray, you could visually see what my issue was. My neck was not straight and lower back was inflamed due to an issue with my lower disc.

That alone I was happy that someone found something wrong with me. After 2 sessions of shock wave therapy and laser therapy, I was like a new person. I still had pain but nothing like before. I am now 12 treatments in and at times, I even forget my previous self. I am getting out of bed like normal, going up and down the steps without even realising I couldn’t do that months ago. I’m now walking down the street like a spring chicken (slight exaggeration but you get the point). I used to walk to the shop and if the pavement wasn’t straight, I would miss a step and my back pain would cause me to stop in the middle of the street. I would have to stop and wait for the sharpness of the pain to leave before continuing my journey.

Now I’m literally like my former self - whether the pavement is straight or not I’m perfectly fine as the pain is virtually gone.

I love dancing, I cannot dance like how are used to as I can still feel a twinge of pain, but I cannot wait for the next 12 treatment. I have all the faith in ProBack. The staff have been brilliant. I’ve had no issues with their customer service at all. All are very attentive and listen and answer questions and are very polite and friendly.

This experience has been life changing for me. I can’t believe at one point I was prepared to live with this pain as I thought there was no hope (according to my GP).

I thank pro back so much and I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for me. They have change my life by giving me hope again for my future and more importantly, they have given me my health back.

I came to pro-back in June with chronic back and hip pain that I had for about two years.
They did assessment and x-ray and said I had Degenerative disc disease.
I would need shock wave and laser treatments.
Initially the pain got worse and then it started to get better.
So I’ve had no pain for about 4 days .
I’m sleeping better able to do my job better.
It’s been life changing,I thought this was never going to go away.
The staff are lovely and friendly and put you at ease when you turn up .
Wish I’d done this months ago!😊

What a wonderful Team.
For weeks I suffered with severe sciatica, I couldn't walk, sit, or sleep was on pain killers I was waiting for a 2nd back operation for a bulging disc when thankfully I came across an advert for Proback and normally I would pass it by. But something made me click on it and have a look and I thought this sounds good and even though I was still in two minds I decided to call the guy on the phone I think was Sam was so lovely. I explained everything to him and he said to come in and get Dr Christian to have a look as he thought that there was something they could do. I had started to wean myself off the tablets for the op I was able to get around easier which helped me get to London. Well I am half way through my 12 week treatment of Shockwave and I have to say wow my leftside feels so good no pain, I am more relaxed and sleeping better which has lifted my mood too as we all know when you are in pain it can bring you down. Dr Christian and his team at Proback are very professional, very caring I am so glad I made this decision and would recommend anyone to come in and see Dr Christian. Thankyou to you all Proback

In early 2019, I consulted Proback Victoria over two long-term back issues I had been suffering; spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease/multiple herniation with classic sciatic pain. These are essentially advanced wear & tear, age-related rather than injury. After an examination including X rays, they recommended their advertised ‘de-compression therapy’ which I then undertook over a 6 week period (I also briefly tried ‘percussion therapy’ but that had only minimal effect). Although there was no recognisable benefit to the stenosis (which I was not really expecting anyway and I have now had treated by another means) the de-compression certainly helped the underlying problem with the discs. After a few weeks, I noticed greater flexibility in my lower back generally and bending has significantly improved with less compaction & stiffness. This overall improvement has continued in the month since I completed the therapy and there has been a 90% reduction in pain while walking.

Overall, Proback’s de-compression worked well for me. I can see that it is not going to work for all back complaints but it does at least offer a possibility of re-generating/healing the spinal discs so is worth trying for anyone with similar pain. The therapy was not cheap but the benefit has been worth every penny. The staff were all very friendly too, as other reviewers have commented.

I started my treatment that combined both decompressions and shockwaves, it’s just been over three months and I feel a tremendous change with my disc related back pains.

The professional consultants at ProBack Victoria have been great, and i truly appreciate their transparency from day one.

The very warm and friendly atmosphere just made my visits that easy.

Prior to my initial consultation I had been experiencing chronic pain in my neck, upper back and shoulders on a regular basis for a number of years. I used exercise, yoga and stretching to relive the pain, however at times I had to use pain killers as the pain was debilitating. I could not understand how the pain kept on returning. I am a very health conscious person who takes regular exercise and eats well. I had visited numerous osteopaths and chiropractors over the years, however to date no one had been able to help relieve the pain for any noticeable length of time or give me a clear diagnosis.
After my initial consultation with ProBack, which included X-rays, I was immediately informed that I had Degenerative Disc Disease. It was a relief to know what the issue was at last! After my first treatment with Dr. Christian, I felt immediate relief and had increased mobility. I have been having weekly sessions for the past month, and each week I feel an improvement both physically and mentally.
I highly recommend ProBack to anyone who is experiencing structural problems.

I was in constant pain with two slipped discs and had been to see a chiropractor, where the relief was only temporary.
Under the skilled guidance of practitioner Henry, I have been led through a series of treatments and exercises which, over a period of 8 months, have led to a material improvement in my life. Whereas the pain was constant, it is now very sporadic and of lesser intensity, my posture has improved noticeably and I am off painkillers.
Henry is great to work with. He is assured and inspires confidence. I trust what he says completely and try to follow his advice because I know it works.

Awful experience. I attended with a slipped disc, over two days I saw three different members of staff, none of them inspired confidence. All seemed very inexperienced, not very good at listening and they didn't pass accurate notes. I don't really understand why I saw three different staff.
They proposed an expensive treatment 'plan' (with discount for paying up front on the day - double glazing anyone?) I was in a lot of pain, so agreed, however I noted that I expected some relief after the first treatment. Needless to say I received no relief. The plan appeared formulaic with little consideration for my specific problem

Their technology looks interesting but needs to be used by experienced and caring chiropractors.

Their treatments are expensive.

I went to a local but experienced chiropractor who gave me personal service, showed interest in my specific problems, gave me realistic expectations and continuity of attention I am now very much on the mend. Wish I hadn't wasted my money and time with Proback
