Firstly, I would like to thank Dr Christian Allard and his gorgeous wife Dipa Allard, for founding this clinic and for having such an awesome team of specialists.

My journey with Proback, Victoria, began at the end of May 2024, and I will arrive at the end of my treatment by the end of October.
I received shock-wave and decompression treatments for sciatica and spinal realignment.

My journey began with my desperate search for someone who could help rid my body of the sciatica I had been experiencing for a number of years. Prior to discovering Proback, I had tried various therapies and treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture, physiotherapy, deep tissue massages and even reiki. None of said treatments helped for long and I found myself living with constant leg, hip and lower back pain.
After my initial consultation with Proback, I knew I had made the right call; because at Proback, your initial consultation includes two visits: first you have your x-rays taken, secondly you see the results of said x-rays and have a discussion with a specialist.
This is where I had a major epiphany! When I saw my x-rays my jaw dropped because I was then able to see the condition of my spine which clarified the problems I was experiencing with my body. More than that, after my consultation with Probacks Managing Practitioner, Mr Arlind Cela, I reached a better understanding of where my pain was coming from. Mr Cela is no ordinary practitioner; this man is a miracle worker when it comes to the body and mind: I have had psychotherapy and counselling over the years owing to PTSD and NO OTHER specialist has been able to do for my body and mind what Arlind Cela has done. In fact, every multi-disciplined practitioner I came into contact with at Proback, seemed to have something magical about them, so much so that after a few occasions of having
Mr Shola Adedo provide me with shock-wave therapy, I requested to have him as a constant because he just seemed to know were my discomfort was every time I saw him...he's like a savant!! And everyone who works at Proback Victoria, are honestly lovely, kind, patient and generous.

To say that Proback gave me my body and mind back is no overstatement: Arlind Cela, Shola Adedo, Ophelia, Damanie and Dimitar are among the team of amazing specialists that are literally worth more than gold! I have gone from experiencing discomfort in my yoga classes to (now) being able to participate in yoga, pilates, spin, core and even zumba and I LOVE IT!!
life can be so joyless when we experience spinal, joint and hip ailments and it is crazy to think that some people believe that they have to live with it owing to a physical defect, age or wear and tear but Proback clinic proves that we do not have to live with our pain; something CAN be done about it and there are specialist out there to help us improve our quality of life. I am so grateful to have discovered Proback Victoria because they have provided me with a new way of treating my mind and body and have given me a refreshed spirit for life. I have never spent money more wisely and I am a believer of 'health over wealth'. Thank you Proback.

I have been attending Proback for a few months now all the staff are amazing and so lovely to deal with. You are greeted by the reception team Nessa, Claudia & Connie to name a few who are all lovely and a pleasure to deal with the practice manager Dipa is also lovely the whole reception team are all a pleasure to deal with, the chiropractors themselves are very knowledgeable and lovely also, they actually listen to what symptoms you have and any feedback you give them regarding your symptoms and changes in your symptoms.

I have been suffering lower back issues since around 2013 and have been unable, to work since early 2018 due to being in constant unbearable pain.
I even had back surgery in 2019 which initially seemed positive but I could tell something was wrong but no one would listen to me, I even got told I should see a phycologist however 18 months after the back surgery I developed almost constant debilitating lower back muscle spasms, in late 2022 I started noticing a weakness below the knee causing me to severely twist my right ankle at the end of 2022.
At the end of 2023 I started developing what I now know is sciatica-like symptoms then at the beginning of the 2024 I also started to lose the ability to walk and I am now reliant on crutches whenever I leave my home. I have lost count how many consultants I have actually seen telling me there is nothing obvious wrong with my back and I need to focus on rehab exercises. I have done over 5 years of rehab exercises under the care of multiple Osteopaths, Physio and even a PT after being told my symptoms are not spinal.
However, I decided to come Roback after doing some research and getting fed up of being told there is nothing obviously wrong with my back when I could tell it’s my back causing my issues, it’s the best decision I have made in a long time.
I usually initially see Arlind the Managing Practitioner he is very knowledgeable and such a lovely guy usually followed by either Shola or Dimitar who are also both very knowledgeable and lovely. Ophelia tends to do my reassessments she is also knowledgeable and lovely. I have it’s also had treatment with a few other practitioners for example Damanie is also very knowledgeable and lovely in fact the whole team is amazing.

Although I am not 100% yet I feel like we are on the right track to pin pointing the exact source of my main issues and very close to figuring out how best to treat them hopefully meaning I have a much better quality of life. For example, my sciatica-like symptoms and pain are much less than it was previously I even had a few days last week where I could walk without crutches for short distances.

I can honestly say I have had better results with Proback over a few months than I have had over the last 5 years with multiple consultants, chiropractors, osteopaths and physios etc. THANK YOU.

I’d just turned 69 in September 2023 when I injured my lower back while carrying a heavy box up a narrow staircase.
Within two hours the pain in my lower back and down my right leg was indescribable. I couldn’t stand, sit, walk or even lie down without severe and constant pain.
Before my injury I was very active - I visited the gym at least three times a week, swam, rode a bicycle and, in the summer, played cricket every weekend.
But within a day my posture had changed drastically, with my spine bent severely to the right (by 32 degrees).
I saw my GP who prescribed strong painkillers and referred me to a physiotherapist, who merely printed out some exercises - almost all of which I was physically unable or in too much pain to do.
I was left with no option but to pay for my own diagnosis and treatment.
I arranged an MRI scan and x-rays (which indicated that I had one or more prolapsed discs and/or a trapped nerve) and saw three chiropractors, an osteopath and finally an orthopaedic surgeon. The surgeon recommended a laminectomy, the shaving of the vertbra(e) to create space for the prolapsed disc to stop it impinging on the sciatica nerve. The op would involve cutting through three muscles to expose the area to be treated and recovery would take between three and six months.
I asked whether the op would restore my back to the state it was in before I injured it and whether I would be able to continue with my active lifestyle. The surgeon said there were no guarantees.
After my consultation, I Googled details of the op and also spoke to several friends who are GPs. I concluded that, despite the constant agony that I was in, the chances of a successful outcome on my terms was less than 50 per cent. Considering the associated risks involved, I decided that I would do whatever I could to avoid going under the knife.
It was around this time that an advert for ProBack appeared on my iPhone - probably because my of constant internet search for cures/relief of my sciatica/lower back pain. I read about spinal decompression and noted that the aim was to stretch apart the vertebrae to create more space for the trapped disc, or free a trapped nerve. In other words, the aim was the same as the op but without the disadvantages of surgery. ProBack also stated a 90 per cent success rate, which were also much better odds than surgery.
Cost was another consideration. The basic op with some aftercare would have cost between £11,000 and £12,000. While no one at ProBack was able to estimate if my treatment would be successful or how long it would take, from what I had read someone with my injury could expect to pay around £3,000.
The first consultation with ProBack, which included x-rays, was also on special offer, so I signed up.
Despite the agony than I was in, the treatment itself - shockwave followed by decompression - did not hurt. But despite 18 treatments for twice a week I felt no real benefits and was still in constant pain.
But after my eighteenth treatment I woke in the night in intense pain in my lower back and right leg and foot. This lasted an hour during which I took painkillers and applied four ice packs. I eventually fell asleep and woke the next morning feeling that something has eased in my back. The pain was still there but at a much more manageable level.
I have subsequently had five more decompression treatments and my pain has lessened each time.
I have now, at the suggestion of my ProBack treatment supervisor, switched to once a month decompression sessions while I undergo back strengthening exercises at my local gym.
X-rays reveal that the disc spaces between my vertebrae and the lateral displacement of my spine are back to normal.
My pain level has massively reduced and I now have my life back - all without the dangers and uncertainty of surgery.

I’m a landscape gardener and in early December 2023 I was experiencing very painful lower back problems.
Unfortunately my doctor was unable to help and the NHS waiting list was going to be several months.
I found ProBack on the internet late on a Thursday evening, called them and had my first consultation and X-rays the next day.
My treatment started 2 days later and every week for the next 4 months.
I had lost much of the curve in my lower spine and had compacted discs.
Every Tuesday afternoon I would arrive at the clinic for shockwave treatments and decompression. I was always on time and never had to wait. The reception staff were amazing. They were beyond polite and the most efficient team I’ve ever met.
The therapists were absolutely incredible and over the ensuing weeks and months they worked their magic. I was massaged, stretched and given an exercise regime as well as a rather unique lumber cushion.
I had my final consultation and X-ray results a week ago and despite feeling amazing I was a little nervous.
I couldn’t believe it when I compared the before and after X-rays of the curve in my spine. It had corrected itself by 30% and was almost back to where it should be.
I have another check up in a few weeks time and in the meantime I will continue with the exercises and lumber cushion. I’m no longer in pain and my posture has improved significantly.

This place is awesome 👌 I had the treatment last year with a little added work on my muscle and core strength, which they gave me workout plan for, I am back to 98% recovered. I was in a bad way for three years not able to walk more than 20 metres without crippling pain from sciatica. It is expensive but I would say it worth it. I had decompression treatment and shockwave therapy it was expensive.

I had this twice a week they set out a treatment plan for you so cost might vary as you might have another type of treatment. It in my view a safer option to surgery you might want to try first prior to surgery.

I have so much to thank Proback for! I came in with a disc herniation causing awful sciatica that I was finding really hard to tackle by myself at 21- I was rapidly losing mobility and getting worse faster than I could manage it. Though I'm not 100% yet (to be expected!) I owe all the improvement to Proback. I found all three treatments to be beneficial - decompression, laser, and shockwave. There was a point where I couldn't straighten my leg or walk for 30 minutes every morning due to nerve pain, and now I do not have any sciatic pain and am back in the gym which was my goal! I do not live close to the clinic at all, and each session would be a 4 hour round trip for me, but I would have travelled for twice that to have the results I achieved. I would recommend this clinic especially if you feel a little exasperated with NHS physio as I did. Going to Proback feels like you're actually healing the root of the problem. Every single staff member I came across or met was lovely, professional, and had a great attitude. It genuinely felt like every practitioner I saw wanted me to get better- they are all just really nice people.

The experience I had is fantastic - warm welcome professionalism and understanding.
I came to the clinic mostly for my right numb leg, as I have problem to stand and sitting while driving some times when sitting on the chair as well depends of the position. However after the Xray Dr. Christian Allar also told me that I have a stiff neck where the headaches come from time to time. I was then given with the personalised treatment plan - explaining the need of treat the problem from its root rather then taking a painkiller. What the procedure will suits best my situation as Shockwave Therapies and Spinal Decompressions, cushions and some exercises.
I started to feel the difference from the very second week of my treatment, feel like new person (every part of your body start to adjust to a NEW YOU), My numb and tingling of the right leg started to fade day by day until it was gone and you forget all about it - Isn't That GREAT???
Never the less my neck has improved as well and didn't feel that tired anymore, nor headaches.
All the staff at the clinic works with professionalism and understand the Patient's pain. We all have it in some point of our life!!!

The staff at Pro back are highly professional from the reception staff Dipa Nessa Claudia and Maria to the doctors Chris Arland and the team are very proffesional and know what they are doing, I've had severe pain since a car accident in 2019 so was unable to work since then..... I've had shockwave and decompression treatment for the last 3 months and it's made all the difference.... my sleep is greatly improved so I'm resting well and feel energised when I wake....the pain has become more localised in my lower back but much less painful in a work in progress , I must say a big thank you to doctor Chris and Jason they are always professional and very friendly I was so impressed I introduced my mother for some treatment and so far all is going well she's 83 and feeling better all over I would recommend this clinic to anyone that's suffering pain. Proback gave me life , I feel like 20's once again. Yohanis and Robert does miracle, they have magical hands. I am 45yrs had severe neck ,legs, back pain , tiredness, shoulder stiffness with pain, stress, breathlessness , soreness of body due to degeneration of bones . Now my health is back , no more pains , I can do exercise , all work, without pain, I forgot about my illness which I had in past , shockwave and decompression helped me alot . Had used proback services years ago and did not hesitate for a second in contacting them again recently after another incident. They put me back on my feet using shockwave and decompression therapy, everybody is professional, prepared and yet friendly and flexible in terms of their approach to my specific problem. Being able to listen to patients is a rare and invaluable skill for anyone involved in the medical profession, thoroughly recommended.

That didn't work, so I've decided to invest more time and finance in finding specialists who deal with back pain related issues specifically. I've found a couple of clinics specialising in that area, but I wouldn't commit, until I've done my research, eventually google algorithm kicked in and I've received an ad promoting back pain assessment and x-ray scan, for an affordable price. I gave it
a shot not expecting anything and during my first two visits, I got presented with x-ray scans, diagrams, detailed assessment. I was able to see the comparison of a healthy back and my own. Being able to see the data, and presented with a potential plan of the treatment, I've decided to dive in fully, I felt like I can finally trust people who can explain what is actually wrong with my spine and the way it would be treated. I am one month in, doing shock-wave and decompression treatments, having zero expectations, not being able to sit on a chair without pain, not being able to lift my shopping bag without pain, now I am pain free to do these things, but I am not fully there, I am only one month in and I feel that I am 60% better, I can already live my life as normal human being, and that doesn't end there.
I want to to Thank Maria, Katerina, Jason, Damanie, all of the reception staff and the rest I haven't met or forgot.

AMAZING treatment. Came in with severe back pain and ended up coming out feeling nothing! Over an 18 week period I was given Shockwave Therapy, Laser Therapy and Decompression Therapy. These all helped me out tremendously in my recovery. They give discounts too depending on how you want to pay and they don’t force any plans on you from day 1 so you have time to choose. The staff were absolutely wonderful in their work. I do have to put in a special word in for Yohanis as he was the person who mainly worked on me and I’ve been happy with him every step of the way. He’s very caring and understanding. The information he provided is very informative and I never had any second thoughts. I appreciate everyone who helped me out in my recovery and I would 100% recommend this place for any back related pain. The staff won’t fail you at all and they’re all very friendly.

I am 67 years old & was suffering from sciatica for few weeks. Pain in my right leg was absolutely unbearable. My son initially booked an appointment with ProBack clinic & I should say that I cannot thank him enough for doing that 🙏.

I had too much pain, could not sit, stand up or walk for long & sleeping was absolute torture 😫. Now, I am half a way through my treatment & I feel amazing, I can walk almost pain free & back to my cycling as well, how wonderful is that 😊😊😊.

Brilliant treatment! For my enraged sciatica nerve, the shock wave therapy and decompression treatments are the only ones that ever really helped. I would recommend this to anyone with a backpain.

I want to thank Dr Chris and all staff for helping to stop my suffering of lower back pain and neck problem. I always went to ProBack Victoria and the staff there are exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, supportive and caring. I have found it far more superior than any other that I have been treated by. I received a shockwave and decompression and there is a huge difference than when I started here. It helped improve my posture and the pain is majorly reduced. I am now sleeping peacefully and painlessly. I recommend ProBack to anyone with back problems. Administratively, the front of house staff are warm, friendly and caring.

Came into Proback last October on a walking stick with chronic back problems, lousy posture and a crippling bout of sciatica. Pain-killing eased the sciatica, massage and spine decompression helped the back issues, while exercises and back support cushions have improved my posture. (On seeing me for the first time since Christmas, my sister wanted to know how I was managing to look taller)

It took someone I met at Proback clinic office at Victoria who had tried the therapy and treatment before to convince me to begin. I gathered the courage to pay the full cost for the treatment and I have never regretted.

Indeed they have fixed me well. The initial lower back pain I took there has reduced to nothing due to how good they carry out their treatment with me. Step by step I am coming out completely of my back suffering. The little pain left now is as a result of my inconsistency of following the instructions and exercises they challenge me to do.
