I have been a patient at Proback since August 2025 following a debilitating L4/L5 disc herniation. After a targeted course of Radial Shockwave therapy and spinal decompression, I feel completely liberated from the sciatic pain that previously dominated my life.

Since September 2025 I have been visiting Proback Clinic and this has changed my life in the most positive way. At the clinic I have been greeted with such warmth and caring staff. From the reception staff to all the physiotherapists. I have been in chronic pain for over 30 years with spinal stenosis, sciatica, osteoarthritis. Over the years I have had numerous amounts of cortisone injections in the past and this has made back issues with the muscles weak. Ayushi Patel is my physiotherapist she has been treating me with shockwave therapy. She is very professional so very caring, and she explains everything. Ayushi recommended me to have prolozone therapy. I have had a few radio frequency and currently having Prolozone Therapy by Mudasir Hussain which has made remarkable improvements in my lower back. The pain has minimised drastically. He is so professional, caring and very gentle and explains everything in detail and always asking if I am ok as I have fear with needles. I am on my fourth session with the Prolozone injections and I feel so brighter, more flexible and walking more, sleeping better and not feeling so down and depressed. I don't feel so heavy in my body and legs too. I am visiting the gym more too to gain strength in legs and back. Also, I used to pray sitting on the chair, now I am standing praying and bending down to pray. On the whole I feel like a new person with a new lease of life. I have recommended my dad who has knee problems and he is currently having the injections in his knee and he is walking better and in not too much pain. I recommending a few people and to anyone who is in chronic pain to at least try these therapies as you will be pain free for a while. I haven't been taking medication either. I had a truly fantastic experience at Proback Victoria and cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. I suffer from spinal stenosis with scoliosis, which caused severe and persistent pain in my right leg and had a significant impact on my daily life.

We initially tried shockwave therapy and back extension treatments, but unfortunately these were not effective for me. Thanks to the expertise of Dr Christian Allard, the team then introduced prolotherapy, which proved to be an absolute game changer.

In April 2024 I visited the clinic after slipping three discs, three months of crippling sciatica, and no help from the NHS.

Having visited many different chiropractors etc over 15 years of back problems, I was sceptical but desperate. I knew that decompression was likely my only potential avenue.

They X-rayed my spine and I was shocked at how much the NHS failed to diagnose. I had issues all the way up my spine, with alignment, curvature and up to 50% reduction in disc height. I started treatment immediatly.

It was obvious after a couple of sessions just how amazing decompression is. It cured my sciatica and gave me back mobiltiy.

After around 20 sessions my spine was X-rayed again. I was shocked. I had recovered disc height, realigned my spine, and increased its curvature.

I started coming here in June 2024 with a lot of back pain in my lower back which I had been carrying for several years, I couldn't stand up properly, my left foot was raised, I was assessed and given an x-ray and then advised of suitable treatment, my diagnosis was Degenerative disc disease, so basically my lower back needed stretching out, my discs were too close together and nearly touching and that had been resolved by decompression and shockwave, twice a week. This takes time for your body to adjust to, so be patient with yourself.
I had this course of treatment initially for about 6 months, by which time my back had significantly improved and also I had come off pain killers I had been taking.
I was then reassessed and x-rayed again, then started just having shockwave treatment as well as been given some gentle exercises to do away from the clinic.
Coming to the end of 2025, I am feeling so much better, I have had another x-ray of my back and can now do things without aches or pain, and this treatment is non medicated.
The staff have been brilliant, and they are very knowledgeable, and look after you.

If you have a back problem, come here and someone will help and put you in a better position, don't live with pain.

I first visited Proback back in 2019 and had great results, but my care was unfortunately interrupted by Covid. Over the next few years, I tried more local providers, but I never achieved the same level of progress or diagnostic clarity, so I always came back to the team I trusted at Proback.
However, for the last three months, I have been dealing with a new, debilitating flare-up of my lower back pain that has been far more stubborn than anything before. It got to the point where I could not even sit for more than 10 minutes without significant pain and was relying on a daily combination of ibuprofen and paracetamol just to get through basic tasks. The pain was so severe that it significantly impacted a holiday I had already booked. I came to Proback with this constant, burning nerve impingement on my right side.
For most patients and even myself in the past, their excellent "tried and tested" methods like shockwave therapy and spinal decompression have been enough. This time, my progress was incredibly slow. We even tried Prolotherapy, and while I could feel it was beginning to strengthen my back, it ultimately couldn't solve the core problem. The "rebuilding" process couldn't be successful while the nerve impingement had not been completely eradicated.
This is where everything changed and why I am writing this review.
Instead of giving up, my case was escalated to the founder, Dr. Chris Allard, who originally treated me back in 2019. He performed a deep physical assessment and, crucially, used a diagnostic ultrasound to get a real-time look at my back. This was the absolute game-changer. He discovered that the root cause was "huge amounts" of deep, chronic scar tissue that was physically trapping the nerve.
Because nothing else was working for my stubborn case, Dr. Chris used his expertise to bring in a procedure I had never heard of, as they don't advertise it: Ultrasound-Guided Hydrodissection. He explained that this was like a "mini-surgery" without the cutting, using an anaesthetic to numb the area and then injections of fluid to precisely break down and separate the scar tissue in a way that the shockwave therapy just couldn't break through.
The impact has been huge. While we haven't reached the end goal yet and more sessions will be needed to completely free the nerve, the hydrodissection has been far more effective than any of the other treatments this time around and I wanted to share my experience. Most people probably are not aware of the procedure and how successful it can be. It has begun to dismantle the core problem that was holding me back.
What sets Proback apart is not just their standard tools, but their ability to escalate when necessary. They don't give up. When a case is complex like mine, they bring in their top expert, use advanced diagnostics to find the real root cause and innovate using a highly specific, cutting-edge treatment to fix it. This process has given me genuine, tangible hope for the first time in a long time and I hope my nerve pain will continue to improve to the point I am completely free of it.

On Friday I received my last x-ray results after a "hard" 6-month spinal therapy! I say the word hard because a sick body does not heal from one minute to the next, there was also pain in it, because it is part of the healing! I had an amazing experience with Proback from the moment I book my first appointment. I tried so many other clinics in the past, spent so much money and I couldn’t get anything close to the results I had with Proback. The most incredibly caring staff I ever met. The team is super professional. Proback, life changer. After years of lower back pain and costly visits to the chiropractor, I heard about Proback. Very hesitant to go at first but all the staff were amazing. All very professional and knowledgeable.
I had a course of 18 shockwave and spinal decompression, which eased the pain but didn’t resolve the issue. I was then informed about Prolozone therapy. I was nervous due to a needle phobia, but was reassured by the staff.
The prolozone worked wonders and the pain is no longer there.

I was suffering for over a year with severe sciatica to the point I was unable to walk, any normal day to day activities and at a loss of how to ease my back pain. I'd visited my GP multiple times and was working with a physio through the NHS. My pain reached a point where I couldn't take much more, and was irritable and depressed with little hope of a cure.

Whatever I say will be little about this clinic and the people in it. I will start by saying that for 8 years I have been suffering from chronic pain in the spine and neck as a result of professional sports. I have about 4.5 herniated discs, protrusions and a damaged peripheral nervous system. I visited many hospitals and sanatoriums for treatment, but the result was for about 2 weeks and then the pain returned again.Until I found ProBack Clinic. From the phone call to make an appointment, I felt the warmth and care from Melinda. She was very thorough in answering my questions and made an appointment for me. My first visit to the clinic was to have an X-ray done to see the problem and to prescribe a specific treatment for my condition. That day, I also met one of the physiotherapist Johannes, who was extremely attentive and explained everything to me very carefully, because my English is not perfect and he was so good at repeating or finding a way to explain everything in a simpler way.And so began my great adventure with all these wonderful people. Every day the reception was filled with big smiles and despite the pain I was feeling, I forgot about it for a moment. The clinic team is very kind, friendly, attentive and always responsive when I needed help. When I was admitted to the clinic, I was very weak, I could barely move my head and legs, and it was extremely difficult to make any rotational movements. I felt pain with every step and had lost all hope for a normal and mobile life (a year before I met them, I had paresis on the entire left side of my body). We started treatment with shock wave, laser and spinal decompression. This treatment literally saved my life because now I enjoy every movement. I walk without problems, jump, run and dance like before. I have been struggling with a horrible pain in my lower back shooting down on my leg, sciatica.
I want to mention I couldn't bend forward and I couldn't sit down.
After examination Yohannis set up a treatment plan with shockwave and decompression therapy but he always adapt to the situations (thank you so much for what you are doing,very professional)
After each session my back was feeling good and all those treatments help me to be more flexible but because of hypermobility I had downfalls so we decided to talk to dr.Chris so for my case he was the game changer.
He recommended prolozone therapy and I had to admit I was very scared of the needles,but at that point pain was bigger then the fear, so I tried and I was very surprised,the whole procedure was around 20 min I was just feeling some little pinches but only at the beginning and my back pain was gone.

First off all I want to say now I'm a pain-free sciatica and I'm very happy 😊 After 12 years of back pain and discomfort and a lot of chiropractic sessions to diferent chiropractic Clinic's I fell again like a 👶 😇😇
After I been First time to Proback and I done the initial examination and X Ray I start to follow up the treatment recommended by the doctor was two tipes of tratament required for my recovery Spinal Decompression and Shockwave terapy this tratament is start in the same day of X Ray results. After a couple of sessions I start, I feel really good. My pain is gone, and I improve my movements and sleep.

I have been a patient with Proback for nearly 5 years, having initially consulted with Chris during the pandemic to treat stress fractures in the lumbar region. After diagnostic tests, the problem was outlined and explained to me, followed by a treatment plan which included blocks of treatment followed by reviews. The relief and improvement was very fast with decompression and shockwave treatment and within the first 2-3 months, I had noticeably less pain and increased mobility. I've been a patient at ProBack Clinic Victoria since 2022 after researching solutions for chronic back pain caused by poor posture and an old car accident that affected my neck and hip. From the first consultation with Dr. Chris, I knew I was in expert hands. My personalized plan included chiropractic adjustments, shockwave therapy, decompression, laser treatments, and daily support techniques—plus physiotherapy exercises emailed to me for ongoing progress.

Over the past 18 months, I've seen steady healing and real results not just in pain relief, but in overall mobility and well-being. As a former pro basketball player and current international referee, I came in with a body full of old injuries. Prolozone injections with Mudasir and Chris have been especially helpful in reducing inflammation,scars and improving recovery.

The staff at ProBack are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and patient. I had to reschedule many times, and every interaction especially with Mrs. Deepa at the front desk was handled with promptness and genuine care. She treats everyone like family, and that warmth makes a huge difference in the healing journey.

One important reminder: healing takes time. Don’t expect decades of pain to disappear in one or two visits. With commitment, patience and support, though efforts , it is possible.

I have been attending Proback for several months now and my experience has been truly amazing, the staff are lovely and a pleasure to deal with, you really can tell it is a family run business you are not just a number and that they genuinely want to get you better and they are not just after your money.

You are greeted by the reception team Nessa, Claudia, Melinda & Kyra to name a few who are all lovely and a pleasure to deal with, the practice manager Dipa goes above and beyond to make sure you are looked after the whole reception team are all a pleasure to deal with.

The Chiropractors, Osteopaths and Physiotherapists themselves are very knowledgeable and lovely also, they actually listen to what symptoms you are experiencing and any feedback you give them regarding your symptoms and changes in your symptoms as your treatment progresses.

I have been suffering lower back issues since around 2013 and have been unable, to work since early 2018 due to being in constant unbearable pain.
I even had back surgery in 2019 which initially seemed very positive however I could tell something was still wrong after around 6 months but no one would listen to me, I even got told I should see a phycologist, however 18 months after the back surgery I developed almost constant debilitating lower back pain and started experiencing almost constant muscle spasms accompanied by buttock pain on my right side, in late 2022 I started noticing a weakness below the knee causing me to severely twist my right ankle at the end of 2022.
At the end of 2023 I started developing sciatica-like symptoms then at the beginning of the 2024 I also started to lose the ability to walk and I was reliant on crutches for several months.
I have lost count how many consultants I have actually seen telling me there is nothing obviously wrong with me and I need to focus on rehab exercises. At this point I had already done over 5 years of rehab exercises under the care of multiple Osteopaths, Physio and even a PT after being told my symptoms were not spinal.
However, after doing some research, I suspected something called Piriformis Syndrome might be contributing to my symptoms again no one would listen to me, after getting fed up of being told there is nothing obviously wrong with me and that it’s my head. I decided to visit Proback it’s the best decision I have made in a long time.

When having shockwave therapy usually initially see Arlind the Managing Practitioner, he is very knowledgeable and such a lovely guy usually followed one of the Proback Practitioners which is usually Shola who is amazing or occasionally Damanie or Ophelia who are all very knowledgeable and lovely. Damanie even added something to my treatment plan which helped prove one of my contributing issues was indeed Piriformis Syndrome and also reduce my pain dramatically.
I have more recently also started to also have Prolozone therapy which is normally administered by Dr Christian the lead practitioner and Mudasir who is one of the Physiotherapists they are both very knowledgeable and lovely, Dr Christian also makes your feel very welcome and at ease with humorous side. More recently Samra and Blessy who are also Physiotherapists been treating me they are also lovely. I have noticed my pain has been reduced by over 90% when combining the Prozone Therapy with the Shockwave and Decompression Therapy.
I even got told by an old friend I move young man now not someone more elderly like I used too.

My health issues are very complex and I am not fully pain free yet I recently had a few weeks where I felt the best I had in over 10 years. Together with Proback we have now managed to pinpoint the key areas that are causing my remaining issues. ]

At the end of the day, you have to also put the work in also if you want to get better, you can’t expect many years of ongoing issues to suddenly disappear with just a few treatments. I have few setbacks along the way however I am confident that with Proback’s help I am now very close to being pain free without any serious mobility issues.

My journey with Proback, Victoria, began at the end of May 2024, and I will arrive at the end of my treatment by the end of October.

My journey began with my desperate search for someone who could help rid my body of the sciatica I had been experiencing for a number of years. Prior to discovering Proback, I had tried various therapies and treatments but nothing helped for long and I found myself living with constant leg, hip and lower back pain.

After my initial consultation with Proback, I knew I had made the right call; because at Proback, your initial consultation includes two visits: first you have your x-rays taken, secondly you see the results of said x-rays and have a discussion with a specialist.
This is where I had a major epiphany! When I saw my x-rays my jaw dropped because I was then able to see the condition of my spine which clarified the problems I was experiencing with my body. More than that, after my consultation with Probacks Managing Practitioner, Mr Arlind Cela, I reached a better understanding of where my pain was coming from. Mr Cela is no ordinary practitioner; this man is a miracle worker when it comes to the body and mind: I have had counselling over the years owing to PTSD and no other specialist has been able to do for my body and mind what Arlind Cela has done. In fact, every multi-disciplined practitioner I came into contact with at Proback, seemed to have something magical about them, so much so that after a few occasions of having
Mr Shola Adedo provide me with shock-wave therapy, I requested to have him as a constant because he just seemed to know were my discomfort was every time I saw him!
