Review of Rove Concepts

While shopping for a replica womb chair on Rove concepts, I came across reviewers on other sites who said their reviews had been removed from Rove because they weren't positive. One of these reviewers posted clear pictures of the womb chair from Rove showing severe fading after only a year. Unfortunately, it was in the fabric color I had originally wanted to buy.

The reviewer explained that Rove had not considered fading part of the warranty (even though it looked severe enough to be considered defective) and that customer service kept removing the reviews from the product page. I can't know for sure if that is true, but I had a previous quality issue with a table I ordered from Rove, so it makes me a little nervous to order from them again.

On the other hand, whenever I've called the Rove customer service line with questions, they've gone above and beyond to help, including taking photos of a display model in the store to better show its color. When I shared photos of the defective table top I received, Rove issued a store credit. (The table top had since been discontinued, and I didn't want to pay to ship a replacement in another color). I found that to be a fair resolution under the circumstances.

The return and replacement policies aren't very customer friendly (basically you're out hundreds of dollars or more for shipping either way, even if getting a replacement in many cases). But I do understand that Rove is a small company and can't afford to have the same policies as a big company like AllModern or Amazon. Shipping furniture is expensive, and it makes sense that the cost can't be recouped.

My advice: Order fabric samples before buying, make absolutely sure it's what you want, document any defects, and consider carefully if you can afford to ship the item back or pay shipping costs for a replacement.

I ended up ordering the chair in a more neutral color that I hope is less likely to fade. Fingers crossed!

It is for sure difficult to determine what is true or not in this day and age; the Internet can be a tricky place to determine absolute trustworthy information. I cannot speak about the other reviews you came across against our company, as I do not know the source, but I can assure you that we would only apply to remove customer reviews if they provide false information about our company or the accounts of a particular claim.
