Furniture good, but delivery process can be improved...
I made an order on March 28th for a breakfast table and two small stools. The quality of the pieces is good, and I do not have any issues with the product.
A small note - during the initial stage of adding items to your shopping cart, a delivery charge was quoted, but upon checkout, the actual delivery charge increased. It would have been nice for the delivery charge amount to remain consistent throughout the entire purchase process.
The reason for the 3-star review had to do with the delivery of the furniture. The outsourced delivery company called on Wednesday to set up a delivery window of 8AM to 3PM for the following day (Thursday). No problem. I take Thursday off work to stay at home.
Come Thursday, at 12PM, I called the delivery company again to confirm that someone will be arriving on that day, and they assured me that someone will be there. No one showed up. I followed up again at 4PM but the representative had already left the office.
On Friday morning at 8AM, I received a call that the delivery will happen on Friday instead. No explanations were given as to why I never received any updates on Thursday. The delivery finally happened at 10AM.
I understand that things change and things get missed, but proper communication, especially with someone who had to take a day off work to accept a delivery, is a common courtesy.
