We bought 4 Hal chairs to go with our Marcus dining table and after using them for around a week, we would rate them 3.5 stars. Not as low as 3 and not as high as 4. They match beautifully and are much sturdier than a set of replica ones that these replaced. I have two issues with these Hal chairs: 1) The seat height is higher than I thought based on the online measurements. The seat itself measures slightly higher at the front than the back, so for someone petite, this can be a problem since both feet don't comfortably rest on the floor. My husband, whose much taller than I am, didn't mind it, but did notice this height difference as well. The second issue is that the back of the seat hits at an odd spot. Again, for someone petite (5'3"), maybe it's my particular stature, but the top of the chair hits across the scapulae. So while these are sturdier options, they're a little less comfortable for me. We got them on sale, they match, and we're keeping them for a while. But, unfortunately, it's not the type of chair where I would be able to lounge, e.g., during longer dinners, dinner parties.
