quality of products is good except there seems a fairly low standard in regard to consistency of stain in wood products. I was advised "up to 20% variability is to be expected." This is not very good quality control in production. the problem is not variability in the wood, it is variability in staining. this makes getting matches tenuous at best, even for products ordered at the same time, made with the same wood, and described as being the same wood stain (in my case walnut stain on ash). oddly, I was also told that despite knowing about the 20% variability, orders are not inspected before leaving the warehouse, which would seem an obvious way of trying to improve customer satisfaction. when their was a terrible match in my first order it took a fair bit of time to secure replacement, but ultimately replacement was offered at no charge to me. sadly, even the replacement of mismatched items did not match, but it was an improvement and something I realize i will need to accept as odds are I won't get a match.

the chairs are otherwise of good quality - solid and attractive. Shipping was high and things did arrive without damage, which is obviously a good thing when ordering online.
