If I could give zero stars I would. My son loves to learn new things however it is difficult to get him ingaged due to him being Autistic and having ADHD. He was so excited to go to the science museum as I’d told him all about how I had gone as a child and there were experiments and buttons to press. Turns out to do anything fun or interactive you needed to pay £15-£17 to do. Where as it used to be free. I would rather have saved more money and taken him to Birmingham

Outstanding experience and staff!

We only experienced a small portion of the Science Museum on our recent trip, spending hours in the Wonderlab which was incredible. The staff were perfect, very polite, helpful, inclusive and interacted well with all. I couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you all! A special thank you to the member of staff presenting the experiments with dry ice, who was another level of amazing! I can’t remember her name but she had a lovely necklace on of the Earth and answered a ridiculous amount of questions from one of my boys. She was amazing, the whole experience was! Thank you.

Fantastic place ! Sarah and her colleague were enthusiastic, helpful and really added to the experience. Would highly recommend. Such an interesting place.

Visited the Science Museum stores in Wroughton. Guided tour of objects held in Wroughton either for conservation or because of lack of space or too big at other sites. Guide Sahara was brilliant although I felt an hour and three quarters barely scratched the surface of the items held here.

Two lifts to serve a 4 Story building. One is out of order-these things happen. On its own not an issue. You just need more patience. But when you wait for ages for the one lift to get to the canteen to read a notice "We are closed" no explanation. Why not put a prominent notice at entry or near the lift ? We were directed to space cafe on the basement floor. The selection of food on offer was limited and expensive. Thankfully it was not too busy. Here's hoping the exhibits make up for the start of this visitors experience

Visited Science & Innovation Park at Wroughton, near Swindon.
Guided tour by Debbie. An excellent tour guide. Would definitely recommend it. Such a vast range of items from cars & buses to medical equipment.
Tour lasts 1 1/2 hours.
If any complaints wish it could last another 2 hours.

Jason Gregg gave an excellent guided tour of the part of the science museum open to the public. The fee is well worth spending to see exhibits of our heritage.

The Staff at the space cafe were so rude.
Not a great experience.

The new space gallery is appalling - nothing in it. You get two space capsules (which were already in the museum), 2 engines and 1 pressure suit (already on display previously) and a bit of moon rock. Absolute rubbish. No early rockets, Saturn V or Soyuz models, nothing at all about Russian space program, Chinese program, ISS, Space Shuttle - what are they trying to interpret here? Main attractions are a big globe that changes into different planets with an eager commentator gabbling away to groups of six year olds (that's astronomy, not space travel!); a huge overpriced cafe; and a big shop selling tat you will get online for half the price. Don't bother.

As another person wrote...I am 76 I had visited many times as a child and loved it. It was a different place then. You could interact on different things. I also went about 20 years ago with my late daughter and it was also very nice then as well.
Sadly I report that my wife and I was so disappointed with the whole thing today. It was also packed out with overseas persons

I had visited the science museum many a times as a child and loved all the things you could interact with and learn amazing science.
I went today with my 8yo and he was bored to hell as he had nothing to do but look at things.
I was deeply disappointed and if it stays like this I wouldn’t likely return in the future.

Visited with 2 other adults and two 6 year olds. Each one of us very disappointed after having been recommended to go. Very crowded. Part of ground floor appeared closed off. Virtually nothing interactive appropriate for their age - even if they could have got close enough to try. The third floor aircraft did spark some interest, but by that time we all just wanted to go.

So that is twice , a decade apart, that I have left the science museum within a few minutes having come face to face with the blue peter junior school level foil, plastic flimsy tv aerial posing as an Apollo spaceship that they claim went to the moon and back, decades ago. Each time I have laughed and scoffed and turned around and walked straight out at the idiocy of the lies and deception that that contraption would even survive a windy day on Blackpool Beach. Total scammers. Avoid. My intelligence was offended and my safe space is not in the Science Museum, sadly.

The Science Museum Director and Trustees who care nothing for the history of the galleries,exhibits and building and who removed the lovely Shipping Gallery to replace it with the awful Telecoms one and are now planning on ripping out the Exploring Space gallery to do the same.

Great time here with the family, we only visited for a couple of hours and did the Wonderlab, it was a little busy and expensive for the interactive section £50 for 2 kids and 2 adults, shame as the interactive experiments used to be included, but now it's extra $$$.

Had a fun filled science day with my 7 year old today at the Science Museum.
Paid to go into the Wonderlab, did wonder why adults and children were the same price, however was happy to pay as hadn’t been before.
We had a great time, however the only downside is now we are sat in A&E as my son has received a possible fractured eye socket after older unsupervised kids were running around in the shadow box and knocked him over. Up until then, great time, needs some kind of order or system in the wonderlab though…. Or parents just need to keep reign of their kids. Sadly we didn’t get to have a go on many of the stations in the wonderlab, despite waiting our turn, a lot of kids being encouraged to push in by their parents.
Simon was great in the Show; we thoroughly enjoyed watching him.

We went on a Saturday coach trip to the London Museums,we booked a time slot in advance .The Museum was awesome we spent a lot of time in Exploring Space,it was so captivating I grew up during the race to go to the moon and it was fantastic to see Tim Peakes mission,we will be going again as we have only done a small area so far.

We recently visited for the Astronights experience with 2 classes of school children.

Positives
- excellent workshops
- IMAX 3D Space Film
- Wonderlab
- staff guides were friendly

Negatives
- appalling organisation by the Science Museum
- all groups left outside of the building queuing to get in on a busy London street in the dark for 30 minutes
- no pedestrian crossing outside the museum and a very busy road so difficult to cross
- a chaotic registration process with all groups trying to get their welcome pack and keep their children separate from other groups (it was impossible and so stressful)
- the unnecessary need to take all food out of bags and hand it over. This meant snack time took a long time to find everyone's snack out of the large blue sacks they had been stored in. This meant snack time was a mad rush and they didn't get time to really eat anything.
- sleeping areas weren't allocated to each group, so the first school to arrive spread out in the exhibit and didn't leave any room for any other group to set up together. We had to ask them to move so we could have enough space to put our children in one area for safe supervision.
- activities end at 11pm then lights come on and alarm sounds at 6am. Very little time to get the children settled for bed and try to get some sleep.
-mats were so thin adults couldn't sleep
- lots of bright lights left on all night
- powerful cold air vents so freezing
- we were on the ground floor and after very little sleep had to climb 3 double flights of stairs with all our luggage just to store our bags in a different exhibit. Then go back down to the same floor we had slept on to have breakfast. The children were exhausted.
There was no need to take store our bags as the event ended before the museum opened. They would have been safe where they were.
- breakfast was a snack at best. A croissant, snack bar and piece of fruit. The children were asking for more and adults were starving.
- no water bottle top up point in the exhibit we were sleeping in so no access to drinking water over night.
- we had been told that we could visit the museum before the event and then stay until it began. Just before 6pm we were told we would have to leave at 6pm and come back at 6.45pm. We had no place to take the children safely during that time so had to get them back onto the coach and do an impromptu short tour of London.

How they could improve
- allocate areas in the exhibit for each group to set up their beds in so that they have the appropriate amount of space
- staggered arrival times so that groups can be brought into the safety of the museum quickly and processed
- allow groups to keep their snacks with their beds so they can collect quickly at snacktime
- provide enough food for breakfast
- allow school groups to wait somewhere in the museum until the event begins
- allow bags to be stored on the ground floor

I can’t understand how this place has been closed for so long, for it to reopen and still have ‘coming soon’ written on almost every floor!

Nothing has changed except for the entrance where they’ve added seating, a shop to buy overpriced toys and a Wallace and gromit feature on the wall (which is the best thing about the place!)

It’s been reopened for one week, some elevators weren’t working and due to there being so much red tape and coming soon signage me and my kids were done within an hour, absolute rubbish, will not be returning even when you finally do open properly.
