Family comes first . Profit over people . Over 3 years , I saw so many good people be sacked or leave before . Management must have to deal with so much rubbish from the owners.

SEEK has been an excellent resource for my job search. I’ve found a wide range of quality sales and business development opportunities, and the platform makes it easy to search, apply and keep track of applications. I’ve also had employers review my applications and progress me through recruitment stages, which shows that the platform genuinely connects candidates with active employers. I would highly recommend SEEK to anyone looking for their next career opportunity.

It is astonishing how bad this site/app is at matching skills (fully provided in the resume) vs the job description.

According to Seek's crap word match, I seem to be a very strong applicant for jobs that are absolutely inappropriate

I think it is not even using AI because no decent sane algorithm would ever suggest that a software engineer would do a good job waste water engineer. (As an example of absurdly inappropriate search results that this site generates). My guess it is doing a plain, stupid, word match (engineer)

Pathetic

Got an email from SEEK Profile using the published official domain of the company and subject "[name], your profile is being discovered." Prompted me to update my profile with a link. I've never heard of SEEK and don't have a profile. Total phishing scam.

Absolutely crap interface and website

Terrible job-seeking experience. Applied for multiple jobs but never got any response. Garbage companies put their job ads here either just to go through the recruitment process, in which their position has already been decided internally for someone, or just to extend their talent pool to show the Department of Immigration or the public that they are actively growing, and never care about how distressed applicants feel. A bunch of selfish dudes.

If I could give Seek no stars I would, worst job application site ever, employers reach out to you and arrange an interview then ghost you, why do employers even bother advertising if there not going to hire you or encourage you on a rubbish website like seek. Terrible progress updates.

Absolutely terrible, all ghost jobs

I had a disappointing experience with SEEK's recruitment process on two separate occasions. In both cases, the recruiters handling my applications were based in Malaysia. After the initial contact, communication stopped completely. Despite following up, I received no response, only an automated email much later.

The recruitment process is managed through SmartRecruiters, which makes it difficult to contact the recruiter directly. As a candidate, this leaves you with no practical way to seek an update or clarification.

What was most disappointing was the lack of basic courtesy. A simple reply acknowledging my follow up or providing an update would have been appreciated. Candidate experience should be a priority, especially for a company that operates within the recruitment industry.

I understand that not every applicant will be successful, but timely and respectful communication is a fundamental part of the recruitment process. Based on my experience, there is significant room for improvement in how candidates are treated.

I have never secured a job through this platform, yet I am being asked to provide personal identification before receiving any job offer. Identity verification should ordinarily be handled by the employer.

Given Australia’s developing privacy protections and the recent hacking of major companies, I am concerned about whether this sensitive data is genuinely secure. This makes me seriously consider using another job-search platform.

I just put in a search in for trainer, (in my industry) for 47 new jobs, NOT ONE of them was for a trainer. SEEK have the worst algorithms for job search. If thier algorithms were as good as Instagram you get a hit every time. Just not good enough. So tedious actually.

Unfortunately Seeks search algorithm feels horrendously out of date and lame. I was using Job searches 15 years ago that were far more accurate.
Looking for an IT Project Manager role, visa sponsored, in NZ? It just cannot service that request.
It has a good foundation, the site is very reliable, I don't get any technical errors, but offering up Inbound/Outbound booking specialist jobs when searching for something completely unrelated is a serious error in itself. I would advise firing their current Webdev manager and starting again.

In this age of AI Seek is still unable to send correct jobs. Doctor jobs receive openings for cleaners. Accountants receive opening for labourers. Likely labourers and cleaners seeking work are receiving openings for neurosurgeons and accontants.

Seek should not just rely on expensive AI. Just use a basic Windows 1998 software that will send accounting jobs to an accountant. Surely it cannot be that difficult in 2026.

So much time wasted on Seek and have never heard back from a single job. I only ever apply for jobs that I am overqualified for. I've used Indeed and Linkedin jobs with success. On Seek, 90%+ of the jobs didn't even get viewed by the employer. It takes a lot of time to write a personalised cover letter and apply for these jobs so you just want that to be seen at the very least. I would not recommend wasting your time on here. Try others. 2 stars because the platform is well designed and easy to use and I like the ability to track your applications and get notified when they've been viewed, etc. They do keep you in the loop that way, but overall the loop is useless since there seems to be a lot of unviewed applications.

I think Seek.com is a data collecting business that probably on-sells information. The reason why I say this is they have a function whereby you can put your identity documents into their system to give yourself supposingly a better chance of getting a job by indicating you are really keen to get the job, however lets face it if we weren't keen we wouldn't go to all this trouble to apply. I also have an issue with this idea because so many businesses are not locking down their computer systems well enough to stop identity theft, such as Optus etc, so I have little faith in Seek.com being able to do so.

And I do say it is troublesome applying because if you are like me and worked in different industries and have to move to a new industry they have their program set up to download your jobs onto their system from the first CV you put onto their system, it's an absolute pain if you tailor your CV to remove some of your jobs as they won't allign with what Seek.com has on it's system which it shows employers.

Also why does Seek.com need to know exactly where we have worked and have it on file, why not just let us attach our CVs instead so that the employer can see where we have worked, but Seek.com doesn't collect this information.

Furthermore, it doesn't weed out scams (I saw a job advertised at Bunnings and it was obviously a scam so I showed someone at Bunnings and they said they would show their Manager) and this program seems to grab from jobs from other employment websites.

..can't upload pdf. docx. nor txt files for any applicant forms. can't even upload with existing "seek" resume.

very bad looking for work only to see same job adverts running from 1 year ago. I think the employers never take the adverts down many are fake jobs you are applying for .
Shame on seek for not penalizing the employers.

So many things wrong with this.
Applied for a job where it said immediate start, no experience needed as they train you.
I have experience and got a generic Seek email saying " application unlikely to progress."
There were 394 applicants for the job and they relisted it as soon as expired.
So none of 394 applicants were trainable?
I contacted Seek and suggested this was a scam. They said it is legit.
This job has mow been relisted 3 times.

Then you have Specsavers and Pet barn who constantly advertise every position in every store. You apply, do online interview questions and then get ghosted.

This is just a data collection site now.
