The coverage seemed reasonable, and the sign-up process was remarkably easy. I gave the rating because I didn’t need the insurance (thankfully?), and therefore feel that it was rather pricey for services not used.

Heather Kleinschmidt makes it so easy to understand the different options and select a policy.

Too expensive, pre-existing can be defined so as the insurance company will never have to make a payout

I became ill while traveling in Porto, Portugal on June 5 and sought treatment at Hospital Lusíadas Porto. I submitted a claim to Seven Corners for approximately €286 in hospital and prescription expenses.
I provided extensive documentation, including the hospital medical record showing the treating physician, symptoms, examination, laboratory testing, diagnosis and treatment; the physician's prescriptions; itemized pharmacy documentation; hospital and pharmacy receipts; and proof of payment. I also completed the additional Seven Corners forms and authorizations requested from me.
Seven Corners' online portal now shows all seven of my submitted documents as “Reviewed” and states that it has requested additional information directly from my medical provider and will resume reviewing my claim once that information is received.
This is what I find so frustrating. This was a relatively small, straightforward medical claim arising from a single hospital visit. I sought legitimate medical treatment, paid the expenses myself, retained extensive documentation, submitted it, and completed the requested forms. Yet months later the claim remains unresolved while Seven Corners waits for additional information from an overseas provider.
Travel medical insurance is supposed to provide peace of mind when something goes wrong abroad. My experience has instead involved a prolonged claims process for a well-documented €286 claim.
Seven Corners recently emailed asking me to review my experience on Trustpilot. At this point, I cannot recommend the claims experience. I will gladly update this review if Seven Corners completes its review and resolves the claim promptly and fairly.

I purchased Seven Corners travel medical insurance for an extended trip through Europe and unfortunately became ill while traveling in Porto, Portugal. I went to a hospital emergency department, where I was evaluated by a physician, diagnosed and treated, and was prescribed medication that I obtained from a 24-hour pharmacy.
I submitted what I considered very thorough documentation with my claim, including the hospital/physician documentation showing the diagnosis and treatment, itemized medical charges, prescription information, pharmacy expenses, and supporting receipts.
Despite what seemed to me to be a straightforward and well-documented travel medical claim, Seven Corners requested additional documentation and the claim remained unresolved for an extended period. I followed up repeatedly and was told that the claim was pending review and being processed as quickly as possible.
This has been particularly disappointing because the entire reason I purchased travel medical insurance was to have confidence that if I became sick while overseas, legitimate documented medical expenses would be handled efficiently. I did exactly what I would expect an insured traveler to do: sought appropriate medical treatment, paid the expenses, retained the documentation, and promptly submitted the claim.
Insurance is ultimately judged by how well it performs when you actually need to use it. Based on my claims experience, Seven Corners has not delivered the level of service or peace of mind I expected when I purchased the policy.
I would be happy to update this review if Seven Corners resolves the claim promptly and fairly.

For New York residents, I found this to be the best insurance company for International traveling.
They covered my pre-existing medical condition, which is important when traveling Internationally.

Badgered for a review beginning the day our vacation ended. Here it is.
Reply: I was not ‘overwhelmed’, I was dismayed. Your emails requested a review. I’m not quite sure how requesting a review on Trustpilot is ‘being there when our clients need us most.’ Rather, it seems quite self -serving. Furthermore, the most recent was a ‘quick reminder’ to review. May I ‘remind’ you that I paid a premium for the coverage, which you provided, thanks. That was the limit of my contractual obligations. You would be well served to remember a review is voluntary, not obligatory, and not attempt to whitewash your review requests as further ‘care’ for your policy holders.

Choosing a company for trip insurance is confusing if one needs it for more than just trip cancellation. De Awna Bailey was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the correct trip insurance for my needs. She spent time with me in exploring my choices, and offered her name and number in case there were any further questions. Some other companies had no means of personal contact. It was nice to get such personal service in a day of no customer service!

Easy process to purchase at a reasonable price. I did not submit a claim (no need) so can’t comment on coverage

I mistakenly put my check in date as the date of my departure for my trip. I probably wouldn't have remembered to request a change, but I received an email from Seven Corners mentioning my departure. I sent a request to have it changed, and Laura responded (on a Sunday afternoon) quickly, and made the change. No problem ! I appreciate the understanding, and the quick service.

Easy to create an insurance package. Also, when a claim was filed, it was resolved quickly and satisfactorily.

4th time I've gotten travel insurance through them. Never had to use it, so nothing negative to say about the process :)

They provide updates and reminders which is helpful since the insurance bought last time was wrong, the reminder that the coverage ended allowed me to extend it. No complaints so far

When I spoke to Tisten Schilly, he was amazing. He explained all the questions I had very clearly. He streamlined the process for me. Great job. Definitely will get insurance from Seven Corners on my next trip.
