Sent my my item in a Shiels bag - which is fantastic if this is a gift, and a catalog which was nice.
Very professional company.
Will certainly buy again.
Thank you

Bought a lot of items a couple of years ago. Only used 4 and they are all duds. 2 small brand name clocks were fakes. When i went to replace the batteries the dual compartment only had one battery and the unit was sealed.
9ct gold earrings were PLATED!!! Wondered why the skin behind my ears was irritated after 2 years if wear...the plate had worn off. I now have brass alloy looking earrings. Still bright gold where there is no rubbing.
Another pair of studs one back doesnt grip at all so i dont wear. Havent used any of the other items , no doubt they will be faulty too as 100 per cent of what i have used is rubbish. I let things slide with the dodgy desk clocks. If i'd known i'd been sold plated jewellery as solid at the time i would have been furious. But too late now after 2 years there is no warranty. I am surprised to see they are still in business.

I love shiels jewellery. Instead of gifing people money, I gift them shiels jewellery as they can wear it and remember me .
The quality is so good and durable.

I have purchased two items in this store, both a disappointment.
The first a $200 pearl necklace. The clasp broke with pearls falling off.
They would not repair it so cost me $70 to rethread somewhere else.
The second a beautiful created emerald in a ring, marked as original price $2400 reduced to $849. I’m sure that was nonsense. The emerald fell out although there were clasps on it, but when observed closely they didn’t hold the emerald in, glue did!!! Fortunately the stone was found. Shiels refused to do anything about it as there is only 12 months warranty.
I took it to another jeweller. On examination they said the stone had fine cracks in it and they couldn’t guarantee it wouldn’t break when they added clasps to hold the stone, I told them to go ahead and fix regardless. So far it’s fine after costing $165 to fix!
So my experience was awful, they sell cheap rubbish and take no responsibility. Beware!

I would advise everyone to avoid Shiels. I had purchased a gold chain from them which broke at the slightest movement of wearing it. When I approached the store, the manager Danielle initially stated that it would be replaced or repaired. I had a fondness for the chain, so I decided for it to be repaired.
I was later informed that their head office stated that it was the customer's fault with no grounds, and they would not even entertain repairing it. It was even suggested that I melt down the chain, with no further recourse.
This is appalling customer service, not to mention a complete disregard of consumer law, and poor manufacturing design. I will be taking this case to ACCC.
Again, do not visit Shiels unless you wish to waste your money for subpar jewellery and far worse customer service.

Buying online can often end in a bad experience, but not with Shiels. My earrings were described perfectly, hoops, not snuggies and bright sparkling diamonds. The entire process from order to delivery was prompt and problem free. Thank you.
Absolutely useless service.
I ordered a gift for my wife, and the website clearly said it would be dispatched in 4–8 business days. On day 5, I called to check, and they told me to wait 3 more days. After those 3 days, I called again, and their response was: “We’re waiting for stock to come in; we’ll send it next week.”
No level of support, no compensation, nothing. Their only solution was: “You can cancel if you want.” That’s all. How useless can a company be? Absolute trash.
Shiels demonstrated poor decision-making and unprofessional handling of a clear product fault, with staff repeatedly providing inconsistent and unhelpful responses. Their reluctance to take responsibility and resolve the issue promptly resulted in unnecessary frustration and a disappointing customer experience. Overall, the service fell well below reasonable expectations for a jewellery retailer.
Also when they approve product being faulty they decided by themselves to refund although I clearly stated a need for replacement,
“ Terms & Conditions. I note that it states Shiels may refund, exchange, or repair an item at your discretion. However, nothing in that clause suggests that a customer’s explicit request for a replacement—particularly where the product failed on first use—cannot be honoured unless a replacement is genuinely unavailable or inappropriate.
For clarity, throughout the entire process I requested only a replacement, and at no stage was I advised that a replacement was not an option, not in stock, or unsuitable for any reason. The decision to issue a refund instead was made without discussing any such limitation with me, and without giving me the opportunity to proceed with the remedy I had requested.”
This is also disrespectful of Australian consumer laws
I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at Shiels Jewellers Runaway Bay. The staff member I dealt with was openly rude, dismissive and made no effort whatsoever to help. Their attitude was unprofessional and completely unacceptable, especially for a customer-facing role.
Instead of providing assistance, they spoke to me in a way that was both abrupt and disrespectful, leaving me feeling frustrated and unwelcome. This experience has significantly damaged my trust in this store, and I will be reconsidering any future purchases.
Bought a sterling silver pair of hoop earrings a couple of weeks ago. One of the clasps has fallen off. Poor workmanship. Disappointed.
Hi, today(26/10/2025) I went to shiels in Macharthur store for buying watch n solid gold earrings. I bought solitaire diamond ring, earrings n locket from this store n 2 senior salespersons were good with their behaviour but today I experienced bad for weird attitude of a salesgirl named Mariam, her facial expression n talking style was disgusting . She told us solid gold is expensive whereas I know that solid gold is expensive cause I often buy gold n any salesperson can’t say like that to customers.
Rude service and ignoring customers in multiple stores across different states. No acknowledgement from the company when feedback provided. They don't care about their customers.
Diamond Slider bracelet broke within warranty period- SHIELS would not replace and only offered online credit which did not cover the purchase price of a new bracelet. They advised they had limited stock available but would not replace my bracelet. Said they are unable to repair the bracelet either, although I had a quote from another jewellery store to repair at $70. I do not recommend this Company and suggest not buying any products from this website.
I’d go as far as to say the online side of this business is potentially a scam to sit on cash before refunding after a week
8 day turnaround for something listed as in stock is already a silly window and alarm bells were ringing after 2 / 3 days when nothing was sent
Then wow what do you know they can’t fulfill it on day 8, shocker.
Further it’s clear we would have heard nothing had we not reached out first.
Pretty easy to see the bulk of 5 star reviews are from fake accounts as well
Avoid at all costs
THANK YOU 🌺
LOVE MY NEW RINGS 💍💍💍💍
Resized and delivered in under 2 weeks
👏👏👏 well done
It has now been over a week since I placed my order, yet nothing has been shipped. This delay is unacceptable.
I received this ring for my birthday in June, and already one of the diamonds has broken off, causing injury to my hand.
Shiels is claiming the damage is "aftersales" and has refused to replace, refund, or repair the item. They even requested that I pay $10 just to have the faulty ring returned to me.
The diamond broke off while I was simply blow-drying my hair — an everyday, non-strenuous activity that should pose no risk to well-made jewellery.
This ring is clearly of poor quality, not durable, and absolutely not fit for purpose.
Extremely disappointed. Avoid at all costs.
The product was received quickly, but I messaged them about a concern with the product and they did not reply.
They happily take your money but not backup there products. Very disappointing.
First and last time shopping with them. Ordered a pendant for my son on the Monday. I was given options at the checkout, regular shipping or express (guaranteed 4 day delivery) I chose express, sent a message out Tuesday afteroon as I had not received a update on dispatch. I had someone reach out and tell me that it takes them 4-8 days to dispatch due to them resourcing from their store then they would express the item. Why offer the express option if it isn't going to get there in 4 days? I said to them this should have been stated in the check out area, it's Friday, 5 days after the fact, no pendant or dispatch email.
