SOOOO disappointed with Sunweb Sweden /…

SOOOO disappointed with Sunweb Sweden / Sverige.

Our longed after holiday was ruined by the extremely poor hotel Sunweb sold as 5*.
When we got to the (Asia Beach) Hotel the room was not prepared for 4 persons, despite being late in the evening.
Hotel is totally run down, with things broken and rusty everywhere. Several services closed down. Very poor entertainment, if any.
But worst of all is the appalling food. Some meals were just toast bread in plastic bags, with super processed cheese and sauges. Only one single sort of fish (whole fish) accept for one night that they called "Fish night". The only evening we saw any seafood.
Meat is describes as "meat". When we asked what sort they couldn't answer or said "mixed" which was almost always the case. It's a sad affair when one choses plain spaghetti and frozen pizza cause that js the best option available.
I didn't eat any of the food from the hotel for the first 24h. We ate the food we'd brought with us. After that we bought food at the local supermarkets yo back us up.
The ice-coffe was really nice and they served proper brand ice-cream some hours of the day, but that was the only positive we experienced.
We don't drink alcohol so can't answer for the quality - but oh my good - hotel is full of guests there just to drink endless amounts of alcohol. Very sad... The soft drinks however were always flat, as not enough gas was used for the machines.
You have to walk the 9 flights of stairs as half of the elevators are broken and the other few took on an average 5 min to get.

The hotel is a 3 star place now. The 5 star must have been granted when building was newly built, all facilities open and kitchen was fancy.

So we contacted Sunweb straight away and got the initial answer that the hotel was actually "a budget 5* hotel" and if we wanted to move to a fancy 5* we would gave to pay a cancellation fee here and the difference in hotel prize. We had actually gone through all the offers available at the time of booking to check reviews and make sure we didn't go for the cheapest option. Regardless, there is no such thing as a "budget 5* hotel". I have worked with tourism for many years. We have stayed in other 5* hotels in Turkey. That is not an acceptable answer.

If you sell a holiday as a 5* stay and you can't provide the service promised it is your job to provide this elsewhere. We now expect a refund as we were refused the help on-site.
Not sure how that is adequate since the holiday days are gone, but it's where we'll start.

Just 10 mins ago local driver almost…

Just 10 mins ago local driver almost hit my husband on sidewalk and started the scandal telling us that we need to go away from their country. We came here almost 1 week ago and company representative settle meeting 1 day before our return flight to share vacation information. Really horrible experience both from you, as a company, and from local people. This is not safe place to come here again, especially with 4 y o. child

Anna Apartments Rethymnon we loved it

Anna Apartments Rethymnon we loved it. The owners Stratos and his wife are so sweet and nice, also the host Maria.

Nice rooms with air conditioning and comfy beds. Small kitchen for lovely self made breakfast.

Pool area are so nice, close to the beach, close to the 4km beach boulevard that takes you all the way in to lovely Rethymnon.

Supermarkets is just a 2 min walk, on the other side of the street there is a laundry shop, the street behind have lovely gyros.

We loved every minute of our holiday at Anna Apartments

Very smooth booking and travel process…

Very smooth booking and travel process and Sunweb representatives have been very helpful. We flew with sky express and the only downside for me was that you couldn't check in online with them.

Misrepresentation of the hotel star…

Misrepresentation of the hotel star classification on their website. Customer service does bare minimum and refers to text on website. A 4 star hotel is advertised on their website when it is actually just a 2 star hotel. You can tell from the 2 euro tourist tax that you need to pay in Greece. I might book again if a good deal is identified, but be adamant that they are sneaky.

Worst service i ever experienced

I purchased a ticket for me and my family and everything was paid for, after a few weeks i get an email with a message that my voucher was not accpted and they will have to send an additional invoice. I asked them why the voucher had gone thru from the beginning and they were saying that it was a bug in the system. I was forced to either pay additional money to the ticket in the end or not get to travel. The worst thing is that they did not want to help me in the end so i was forced to refund my tickets and buy new ones that were even more expensive.
Worse customer ecperience ever. It’s 0 out of 10, 1 out of 10 is also generous.

They steal your money for weeks

Booked a trip, paid with my credit card, got an error message. Spent 40 minutes on the phone just to be told the flight was full, they had no other options available so they could only offer me money back. To get my money back I need to email them a print screen of my payment. Seven days later they reply that I will get a refund within 10 bank days which is 14 actual days!! So instead of just reserving the amount they steal your money for three weeks as their website does not show when a trip is fully booked.
