Unhappy With New Pricing

Previously, I would've rated them near 5-stars. But recent changes to their pricing plans have me extremely disappointed. They previously allowed rollover data, but in order to keep that now, we must pay a higher price, rather than the grandfathered price. Very disappointing.

Honest and fair help

For about 3 weeks I was trying to connect my smart watch to my new phone and port anther phone from Google Fi. So Tello customer service asked me to call them to get help to activate the phone. I called and a friendly voice (her name Ivana) answered and patiently started to direct me what to do. I am 86 with poor hearing but she managed to slowly explain what and where to tap on confusing screen to get the job done. It would be great that live agents at Google Fi or other places to have at least 50% of Ivana qualities. It would be fair to mention that Tello is quite easy to get in touch with and not given a run around like most other businesses.

Great Price!

Great Price!

For the price of this service, I am shocked at the quality of the phone service.

So far it has been better than other services that charge double or triple.

Great Customer Support Reps, and friendly pricing!

I'll be honest: Tello didn't work out for me — but that's on the technical requirements, not on the company.

I'm based outside the US and bought a plan hoping to activate the eSIM remotely. Turns out activation requires connecting to a US tower at least once, so if you're abroad with no US trip planned, this won't work for you. Keep that in mind before purchasing.

That said, the way Tello handled it deserves five stars on its own. Their support replied fast, didn't give me any runaround, and processed my refund quickly and without any drama — something many companies could learn from. It's rare to see a provider treat a customer this fairly when the sale doesn't work out.

If you live in the US (or can activate there first), I'd genuinely recommend Tello — affordable plans and a support team that actually cares. If I'm ever in the States, they'll be my first choice.

Great Customer Service.

Mirvia - the rep who assisted me was great. My phone not working for a few days was a bit rough, as I missed some important calls but the CS rep was very thorough and kind.

Your representative could NOT fix the…

Your representative could NOT fix the problem over several days of trying to unlock my account which was the result of two unauthorized, fraudulent purchases having been made on it: 1) Plan changed and 2) SIM card ordered. These fake charges were reported the same day they occurred. Hours were spent trying to restore my Tello service. Needing my phone to work on a trip, I gave up, left Tello and ported my number to another service.

Once a shipping tracking number is created, the system clears, and we can usually restore service within minutes. However, we completely understand that you were in a rush for your trip and needed to transfer your number to another company right away.

Regarding the unauthorized access to your account, we immediately activated our security protocols. We verified our experts successfully guided you through the steps to secure your login and protect your personal information.

Furthermore, we can confirm that both unrecognized transactions have been fully refunded, and confirmation emails have been sent to you.
