Tenpin - Gloucester Reviews 

We had a amazing time. Great value for money as well. Al the staff were lovely. I did want to highlight the manager who helped me. My family and I visited Lydney for a inland holiday. We love bowling so decided to visit the nearest ally, which was Gloucester, and purchased the special offer with the drinks. We finished up our bowling and went over to the baseball game in the arcade and my ring which is usually on my other hand (switched) for the bowling shot down the side of the machine. The team took it really seriously and did not delay, I was so worried but they had it located under five minutes. Super grateful! Will come again when we next visit.

Staff were really good. Kids all enjoyed the party. Food was good value. Maybe could have done with a bit of support or more time allowance for parties as children can be quite slow bowling so not enough time to complete 2 games.

My boys had a a great time with their mates but would have been nice to have the option of having food in the booths rather than where they were bowling

I booked (by phone as it is apparently a better price than online as identification was needed) and that was fine. It was a school trip. 12 pupils and 2 adults. The lanes were already split up to allow 4,5 and 4 players. That only totalled 13!! They couldn't add another player to one of the 4 in a lane for over 20 minutes. Eventually they did. But the time ended at the same time. The lane, which was my lane only got 8 ends in. We didn't get to finish the game. They said they couldn't add two more ends in. They could restart it for us. All the others had finished. Bit of a waste of time for the 5 players this happened to.

Fantastic birthday party had here. Lots of fun, great customer service. Definitely recommend 5 *****

Booking process easy

There was a group of young children with whistles - very noisy & annoying! I put 2 pounds in a machine and nothing happened. I informed a member of staff, a young girl, and she said she would get someone to come and look it. After waiting for over 10mins I informed another member of staff, this time a young man, and he said he'd get a manager to come and help. After another 5mins the manager eventually came and sorted it out.

I took my children to the soft play. Whilst there a small boy was spitting at children and pushing them over.
They made the staff member aware who did nothing 7 children would not go back in until I spoke to the boys dad about what he was doing.

We had a wonderful evening at Tenpin Gloucester with a group of teenagers. The booking process was easy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything ran smoothly.
The bowling lanes were well maintained, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. The children had a fantastic time and were already asking when they could come back again!
It was a great place for friends and families to spend time together, and we would happily recommend it to others.

Good atmosphere

Attending a birthday party and tables and space around not clean, time scheduled for the activity delayed, any order had a long waiting time, food quality not as expected

I booked a Laser Tag birthday party at Tenpin Gloucester for my son on the 6th of June at 5 PM, more than a month in advance, and paid the deposit. Unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

When we arrived, the staff informed us that they were running 20 minutes late. In reality, the delay ended up being 40 minutes, with a group of excited children waiting at the entrance with nothing to do. When I asked what the kids could do in the meantime, the receptionist suggested the arcade – which of course requires extra money. This was not an acceptable solution, and no alternative was offered.

I asked if at least the party drinks could be brought out while we waited, but even those arrived 20 minutes later.

Once the children finally entered Laser Tag at 5:40 PM, the delay caused several parents to leave early, and some children didn’t even stay for the second game because it had become too late.

The food situation was just as bad. I paid for 10 party meals, yet I was only given 8 mini pizzas. When I asked about the missing two, I was told to go to another till and order them again. At that point, I simply gave up, knowing it would take even longer. Thankfully, I had already paid separately for chicken nuggets, otherwise several children would have had nothing to eat. To make matters worse, a friend who ordered food separately received undercooked, still-cold chicken.

When it was time for the cake, I asked for help with a knife. We were given wooden cutlery, which is obviously impossible to cut a cake with. I was told no one was available to help. Only after insisting did someone finally agree to cut the cake for us.

Overall, this was the worst birthday party experience I have had for my children. For the £350+ spent, the service was far below acceptable standards. The delays, lack of organisation, poor communication, missing food, and unsafe undercooked items made the entire event stressful and disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the service for future families.

Food was rubbish and I think bowling is was over price for a Thursday day no one was there.

Booked online waited 15 minutes to check in, not ideal with 4 children under 10 itching to play! When we finally got going it was great although a bit too loud for me!!
